Need help! Kaiser connects to GPRS even though it is not supposed to!

Dear Forum Members,
Maybe some of you can help me out. Here is what's happening:
The Kaiser's GSM radio is switched on and the unit behaves totally normal. From time to time I sync the Kaiser via AS 4.5/USB with my desktop computer and MS exchange (as well via the desktop computer). After all syncs have been completed successfully I disconnect the USB cable and the trouble starts.
After about 2 to 5 minutes the Kaiser starts to build up a GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA connection to the internet and tries to sync itself with exchange, even though it is not supposed to do so. All exchange settings are switched to manual sync, MS Push is switched off. Disconnecting GPRS results in a re-connection 2 to 5 minutes later. Stopping email programm, Async and connection manager on the kaiser does not fix the problem, the GPRS connection is again established.
Only work around for me at the moment: placing Kaiser next to computer speakers on my desk so that I hear that the phone is showing unwanted activity; if it does: soft reset.
Has anyone any idea what could cause this behavior? As mentioned above, it only happens after syncing the Kaiser with exchange, all exchange sync modes are set to manual.
This really did cost me some bucks while being abroad recently since I did not notice that GPRS was on all the time.
Thank you all!

did u try some system tool to see what processes are the kaiser runing? Try to see the running processes before and after the sync, maybe the sync starts some process that is causing your problems.

Slow Exchange Connection

Hello all
I've noticed that the synch over air to our exchange is a lot slower than with other ppc's... with my touch cruise, the cruise show's me new email faster as my outlook, wich is connected trough rpc over https.
but the diamond is way slower. it tooks sometimes more than 5 minutes before it shows me that there is a new email. also if i delete e few mails in my outlook it took 5 to 10minutes to synch in active sync...
anyone same problem?
I see no lag between Outlook and my Diamond. The emails arrive at the same time.

activesync starting automatically?

on my kaiser, I have set activesync to only sync manually. But every 10 minutes or so, it starts anyway. This is a problem because I use my data connection 3g for activesync, and when activesync starts, it starts the 3g, and drains my battery. I already am using kaisertweak to automatically stop the data connection after 5 minutes, but that is not enough to stop battery drain. And also if I am playing chess on my kaiser, when activesync starts, it freezes my chess game. So, I want to know if there is some way to stop activesync from automatically starting, it does not seem to be obeying the "manual" I have set for it. Does anyone know of a registry setting on kaiser for activesync to fix this?
free bump
Anybody have any ideas?
bump. I have activesync set to manual.
But it starts up and sync anyway.
I was searching about this earlier and found an older post on Activesync running on its own - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424918
Someone at this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398050) posted a CAB called "Repair Activesync" which I am going to try and install.

Exchange sync through usb problem.

I know many there are several threads here concerning this or simmilar problem. But there is no answer for my problem.
I need to exchange my Exchange acount.
I can sync it through data connection (gprs, edge, 3g...).
I can sync it through bluetooth.
I can NOT sync it through usb cable where I can sync notes, mobile favourites and other things not on exchange.
When i try to sync data stored on exchange, both WMDC on my win7x64 and ActiveSync on my HTC touch diamond 2 look like they are trying to synchronize, but the progress bar remains on 0 % and after about 5 minutes the activesync gets back to initial screen with no sync and no error.
My computer is connected to a domain, maybe there is a problem. When I had Win Vista there was no problem. And... I cant sync it with any other win mobile device.

[Q] Turn off data connection automatically after automatic emailcheck ?

I just created my live emailaccount on the email tab in one of the latest Energy roms and when you choose to check your email automatically every 30min for example, the data connection stays on, which uses a lot of battery offcourse. I think this is probably with all roms.
Isn't there any trick or tool, when the emailprogram in the hometab checks for emails that it disconnects automatically after the emails have been transfered to your phone ? This would save a lot of battery, I searched for an option but didn't find anything.
Thanks!
You can try "Manila Dial-up Enabler/Disabler"

Hi
If you're not squeamish with registry editing, look here
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\
Change CacheTime to 60
In SuspendResume replace ~GPRS! with GPRS_bye_if_device_off
Then soft reset
your device will disconnect teh data connection after 60s of idle time
