Hi Guys,
I'm trying to give my Tmobile mda to a chinese friend so I sim unlocked it and cid unlocked it. Then I proceeded to flash it with the dopod chinese rom which is: RUU_Dopod_Wizard_2231301_225_22313101_ship_full_CHS.exe.exe
I tried it twice and both times it completed successfully, but upon booting up the machine, everything is still in english, although it does have the dopod software and the chinese in those software is in blocks, not chinese.
So what is the problem here? The dopod rom is definitely in there but, it's in english, under regional setting there is no chinese either.

I bought it in Netherlands, and they forgot to mention that it is the Dutch version of Windows Mobile 2005. I need to change it, but I don't really know which one to choose. I've read that QTEK ROM makes the Phone faster. Is there any standard in the way the filenames are named?
As far as I understand, I can install the english version of windows mobile 2005, and then download the T-mobile settings for Netherlands. Still I need two downloads. Is there any T-Mobile Netherlands with English WM2005 ROM?
If I install the English WO2005, will the SIMlock function keep on working?
I have these parameters:

gsm 1.12.10
os 1.6.2.2
Which one is the most important to refer to when trying to find a new ROM to install?

first of all you need to [cid] unlock before younedd anything
then you can install any rom/language versao that you want
as for T-Mobile Netherlands all you need is the cab file for that operator and you can find that in here this forum just by asking for it
yes your sim will still work but you could sim unlock with the same tool that you need to cid unlock.

I have a Vodafone VPA Compact II (HTC Wizard) in German.
I will relocate to USA and I want to update my phone OS etc. into English (Cingular ROM).
I know that I have to first unlock my phone and I used both Lokiwiz02b and aWizard 1.3 beta 2 in order to unlock my phone. And these programs let me know that my phone is unlocked.
"Your phone is now unlocked...."
I have tried both "U. Unlock" and "C. CID Unlock (SuperCID)".
Than I have tried to install Cingular ROM "RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship.exe" but I still get error msg 294.
Than I tried other Cingular file "Cingular_Custom_AKU2.3_Combo_Installer_V1.exe" and it was installed without any problem. But I have still German in my phone. As I understand this file installs only Extended ROM of Cingular.
Now I need to install an English ROM and when possible a Cingular one.
Any tip?

I have found a solution.
Lokiwiz02b does not work for AKU2 ROMs. I've just downgraded my ROM into an older version and than applied Lokiwiz02b CID unlock with success.
Than I upgraded my ROM into new Cingular 8125 one and works great!

My boss has just bought a Wizard branded as a Grundig GR660 by Movistar, and he wants it in English, I've read all about the bootloader problem with 2.21.0001, it has Rom version 2.22.5.2ESN. If I try the downgrade i get a error 300 message.
Is there ANY way i can change the language to English????

I have the same G4 device as well, there is no need for CID unlock to upgrade the phone to 2.xx rom (any languages) version. However, you might need to sim unlock the phone using Lokiwiz03a though. My Wizard's touchscreen has some malfunction, and I want to take it to the T-mobile service. That Ok, but my MDa has a WWE Rom, and the original was a GER Rom.
I've tried several methods to downgrade my phone, but the installer says Error Vendor ID.
Anyone has any solution for this?
Please help me to take my Wizard to the service.

i m having qtek 9100 (g3)i dont know which language it is? by mistake i upgraded to custom rom without unlocking cid.. i stucked in 98% n bootloader screen appears... i want to change in english language. itried several roms.. but the same problem. plz guide me out of this. i wanna my cell started...
in the netherlands the qtek's are sold without a simlock
however, there is a possibility that there is a cid-lock.
to remove this, read the wiki.
but first flash it with an original qtek rom

hi, sorry im new to the site but i noticed you have the same rom as me (1.37.401.3 WWE) i cant seem to unlock the CID, on command it comes up with "could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe its in use" any help would be much appreciated.
p.s i have already flashed it to get that rom so im not sure if i need to find a new one or it can be resolved...
