Hi,
i think i will buy a Mteor..
I had to upgrade my Blue Angel to latest BT stack to get it paired to my toyota BT car kit.
So naturally i wonder if the mteor will pair with my kit...
Looks like my car supports Bluetooth 1.1, Hands Free Profile 1.0
Would the Mteor be compatable ?
Any expericence ?
Regards
Etienne
Well, the phone is Bluetooth 2.0, & as I understand it, 2.0 is backwards compatable. If the car was 2.0 & the phone was 1.1/1.0 I would advise against it.
I think it would work, have a look to see it other 2.0 phones work with 1.1/1.0 cars.
As always, don't take my work for it, I'm just some guy...

I know this is for only XDA devices, & I tried searching but I didnt see anything except for 1 post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11128&highlight=nokia+car+kit
But I thought I might try you guys here.
I have posted on other HP related sites as well for the same problem.
This site was so usefull when I had my Siemens SX56.
The only thing I wanted to know is if anyone knows if there is any add on driver I can add to it to make the hp6315 bond with my nokia bluetooth carkit model # CARK112.
I cant seem to get it to bond?
I did get my Jabra BT200 to bond and work correctly.
This is what nokia says about it?
*Compatible phones must support the Bluetooth 1.1 specification and Handsfree profile.
As far as I know the hp 6315 doesn't support handsfree only headset?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
...have you tried the "explore a BT device" in the BT connection wizard, not the "handsfree/headset" set-up? I paired it together once & it worked fine...I do beleive this "widcomm stack of BT" supports handsfree...
BTW, after I added another headset (my SE HBH-65) it didn't connect again, but BT is funny/finicky doing multi-device connxns...
Nokia Carkit with HP6315??????
Thanks , I will try that I will let you know.
...another tip...even better tyhan the last one that I don't think is necessary if you use this one : when pairing h-set/handsfree device about half way thru the wizard hit the tools button (I think?) & it default-checks, "show only handsfree devices", uncheck that & you should now see the carkit show-up! This of course makes no sense since the carkit is a handsfree device but it seems to work so go with it...
thanks that did the trick!!!!!!
I just yest spent some extended time with CarKit (it in my wife's car) & it wasn't very reliable. After turning the car off & then back on it would not re-establish a pairing. After resetting both iPaq & carkit (turning off & on again, I'd go thru the wizard again & it would re-establish but would duplicate the carkit on the iPaq...
Has your kit been more reliable? (I have the nokia Cark112)
nokia car kit with ipaq
No. mine has been doing the same thing.
...ya, my work around has been to delete the previous carkit pairing & re-establish itself - a new one - obviously not great but workable if you need it...btw, every Nokia phone (even the newest ones) work fine with this kit...so who knows - I may get the Nokia 9500...
I was sure that with Bluetooth you could use two devices simultaneously. I mean for a sample, GPS receiver and handsfree kit. Is that possible? Is it just a problem of the BT stack or it's related to BlueAngel hardware?
Or perhaps it's just that BT protocol does not allow it? Does anybody know?
Thanks in advance.
BT 2 Devices. Autoanswer.
OK, I found it myself. At least with Widcomm stack, it can be done. MS stack didn't let me do it before. I'll try again. Has anybody tried it before?
2 BT devices
Yes, I have a BT car kit and a BT GPS - both work fine together with my BA (and my Wizard)

Are you using WM5? Can you browse your contacts from your car kit? If so, which rom are you using? I'm getting mad about this...
Thank you very much in advance.
u certainly should be able to use several BT devices wuth on (pocket) PC.
now whether this'll work with Blueangel/Windoze Mobile is another question.
I have the cingular 8125, and the jabra c220s doesnt work in stereo and the answer button doesnt work, this might be a dumb question for people who know alot about ROMs (i have the stock ROM right now), will upgrading the ROM make the headset work fully?
If the upgrade includes the Tornado A2DP patch it will. Note that the Tornado A2DP patch can be installed independently of a ROM update.
so you can apply that to the 2.17 ROM that summitter made?
As I understand it the ROM in this thread already has the Tornado A2DP applied.
ok cool, but it is a wired headset, and i think a2dp is for wireless, right?
OK -- I thought the Jabra was BT. If it's a wired headset, it's probably just a matter of using the proper adapter; the Wizard uses a 4-conductor 2.5mm jack. PocketPCTechs, Boxwave, and others sell adapters that might do the trick.
it is a 2.5 plug natively, maybe its a particularly defective one, ill try returnin it
I recently got an AT&T Tilt and am looking for a good, reliable bluetooth kit for my 2005 Toyota 4Runner. I found two different kits that look good, and I want to know if any of you have any experience with these:
Parrot 3200 LS Color:

THB Bury Comfort Compact 9060:

I just want a good kit that wires into the vehicle and uses the car speakers. Any suggestions on other kits are welcome.
Thank You for the help.
Motorola T605. I'm looking at getting that one now and it looks pretty good. I would link to it, but I'm tired, I've been drinking, and I will be asleep in about 117 seconds from now.
www.safewireless.com
Visit www.safewireless.com and check out the car kit demos on the parrot car kits, this will give you a real feel of the kits. Also they have car kit and harness bundles.
If you have any questions, call them and they will tell you evrything you need to know about Parrot car kits.

I got this last night and its great http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390945
I was specifically looking for a wire free audio streaming soloution, but the hands free profile stuff works great.
Hi I have used a parrot ck3100 for years now (for the last 4 phones I have had) cant fault it updated the software through Bluetooth each time and still working today, easiest way I found to fix in to the car to mute radio and put call through speakers is to get a conversion lead form a dealer, (£20.00 ish in the uk) this fits between your radio and the car kit.
I have the parrot kit installed in my subaru. my tilt and my wifes samsung are paired to it and the friggin thing works great. i suggestthat if you have the original radio in your veichle, then get the wiring adaptor for that car. this way no wires have to be cut. if needed, i will post a link here for the website were i got the adaptor for my subaru.
I also have the CK3100. It USUALLY works great, but I have had some issues w/ my Tilt. Occaisionally, it will phantom dial when I first start the vehicle. When that particular glitch occurs, it will continue to randomly mute the stereo for a couple of seconds every few minutes.
A recent firmware update to the Parrot seemed to fix the problem, but it started again after a week. I just got a new Tilt (warranty replacement) and haven't had the problem again, but it's only been a couple of days. It was a week after that firmware update before the issue recurred.
If you go w/ the Parrot, I highly recommend www.parrotkits.com for a wiring harness. I'll say that I did not like the way it functioned in my Nissan Titan due to the way the factory stereo is configured - it caused a loud pop in the amp when switching between the stereo and phone. In most other vehicles, this should not be a problem. It sure did make the install a breeze.

Hi,
my Diamond works ok with my Parrot bluetooth car kit. The only thing that is really anoying me, it takes veeeery long until the Diamond has established the connection to the car kit. I have to drive for several minutes! until the Diamond connects. Before I had a Sony Ericcson phone where I did not have this problem.
Any ideas? Is this just because the Diamond is a WM phone?? Or is there a way to improve this?
Thanks
I use my diamond with a Parrot CK3300 - not sure if that is the same as yours. I only use it for handsfree since I use the Diamond's own GPS receiver. I don't have this problem - it picks up and pairs within seconds.
Have you flashed the Parrot with the latest software? I found that improved performance considerably - automatic update of contacts, user name on screen rather than phone name etc.
I use the Parrot CK3100 and the pick is almost instant; I've barely got in the car and started it up and the Parrot has picked up my Diamond. It was just as quick on my Hermes device too.
I also have a CK3100 and here's somewhat the same problem.
It connects in a few seconds, and it's usable.
But the synchronisation takes forever.....
That doesn't bother me, becouse I'm quite long in my car when driving to work...
But:
The phonebook in my CK3100 starts with the numbers wich are saved on the SIMcard.
All my friends are saved on the internal memory of the TD.
So if i want to call 'Anouk': I press 'A' on the CK3100.
It starts with the 'A' from the SIMcard.
Then I have to use the turning wheel, to scroll BACKwards to "anouk'!
So this takes a lot of time.... and is very, very unpracticle.
Someone a solution for this?
As I said before flashing the latest software onto my Parrot made it much better for syncing contacts. But I only need do it once - after that it only checks for changes. It should not be syncing each time because the Parrot should store the contacts itself.
Yep, just check the Parrot website to see what the latest update is for your particular BT device and try applying it. Saying that, I've not updated my one from factory.
Unfortunately I was not able to update my Parrot so far. I have only a CK3000 Evolution, Firmware version 5.08C. I guess I would need this special serial flash cable...
@ swissly
i have the same problems fw months ago. you have to delete the partnership's on your CK3000. press the red and the green button for more the 3 sec. (Erasing in progress) if this is done you can create a new partnership. hope that helps.

Hello
For all of you who have a Parrot Bluetooth car kit listen up:
When you use any phone with any Parrot Bluetooth car kits please go to the Parrot support website to flash your car kit - http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/onlinehelpguides
This will update the device with the latest firmware and as Parrot continuly add new phones to their list it is must. I did it as soon as my HTC Diamond arrived and finds it pairs/syncs within 1 - 3 seconds of switching the car on. FYI I have a Parrot MK6100 device, which supports A2DP Bluetooth audio and is mint. Previous to this I had an SPV M700 and a Parrot CK3100-something, but same thing - update it and you will find it solves the problem(s).
- PLEASE HOWEVER READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON FLASHING - IT AIN'T HARD BUT READ IT ANYWAY!!! -
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I still think I CANNOT UPDATE my Parrot CK3000 Evolution WITHOUT THE PARROT SERIAL CABLE!

You are correct AFAIK. Most other Parrots can be updated easily using bluetooth, but not that one. Probably why it was cheaper than the others.
