i just downgraded my 8125 to 1.08, i unlocked the sim/cid
then upgraded to cincular 2.26 aku2.3 by shogunmark, but the ipl is still 1.08???
so what am i doing worng?

IPL left out of rom
flashing the wrong ipl will brick a device eg. (ipl 2.26.0001 --->G3 device-->Brick)
the 2.26 cingular rom might not update your ipl try another rom like molski 30mb then reflash to 2.26 cingular rom ! post your findings
its not a g4, its a g3

is there a way to remove task manager from the bottom right and bring back the battery status, also are ther any skins to the dial pad. one more question can u customize the desktop like remove things i won't be using...thanks for all ur help!
i was flashing ship ROM and on 1% it says this nbf is not for ur phone and stops, i've reset it and bootloader starts with ipl 1.01 spl 2.16, should i use NoID_ruu to flash other custom ROM?
you need to flash an official rom first, or a custom rom with updated bootloaders
dont look at my signature, that was before pda service replace my ROM with G3 chip, and ipl\spl was 1.0\1.03, then i did what is right to do - i flash an official ship rom, and then all go as i describe above

strange but last time i saw this combination of numbers my phone was dead , but now it's still alive, and i flash molski then faria rom and everything went fine. f..ing magic. praise the lord ppl.

Try any 2.25 or 2.26 ROM before upgrading to Faria's, you'll have IPL, SPL 2.xx

flash an official rom, then flash a custom rom
or maybe try downgrading to a 1.xx rom, then reflash and official rom, then flash a custom rom....

Here's what i did:
Original Rom on my 8125: IPL 2.25, SPL 2.25
-downgrade to 1.xx using CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE ROM.=>Result: IPL 1.05, SPL 2.25.
-Copy and run Enaberapi.cab on my device
-Run lokiwiz 02b. Choose CID unlock.(fone restarts onced completed)
-Uprade to 2.26 ROM from Cingular_RUU_Wizard_2.26 =>Result: IPL 2.26, SPL2.26
-Upgrade again to FARIA's AKU 3.2 8MB.Result :IPL 2.26, SPL2.26 OS 3.0.0
Note:Faria's Rom doesn't include any bootloader version.You have to upgrade to 2.xx before uprgrade to Faria's.You may bricked your fone for a while if upgrading to Faria's with IPL 1.xx and SPL 1.xx

thanx ppl, but as said i did all this , everything is fine, im testing faria's rom atm, trying to figure out how to setup PAN, and a2dp seems have some problem too, but i think i'll manage this.
oops , its not allright, faria's rom flashed, os version is correct(build 3.2.0), but alot of things not working, i guess it is becuz of ipl 1.01 version, i need both of em to be 2.xx, i'll try to downgrade to 1.01 ruu costom rom, we'll see what will happend.

i wonder if your problems have anything to do with the fact that your chip was changed.. or maybe not done correctly

As far as i know, they will just change the whole maching rather than changing only the chips... The way the soldering is done on the chips means they can't be taken out easily...

they can actually, they are just surface mount chips, i used to work for a company doing component level repair on electronic devices... and removing a surface mount chip is quit simple with the right tools

I see... I am just thinking that these chips might be BGA chips, and hence can't be desoldered easily...

I am having a similar problem, had upgrades IPL/SPL to 3.08 and tried to load faria latest without success. tried to get the g3 8125 back to 1.xx using winbutton and lokiwiz but ende up with ipl 1.05 and spl 3.08. tried to use t-mobile 2.26 and the cingular oem and recieve an error saying i need to upgrade the nk.nbf. I am rnning out of ideas.

I think ur phone is still not unlocked,download WST Tool from the link below and check if it is CID unlocked,if not ,go through the unlocking method again:-

ur IPL1.5 & SPL 3.08,
keep on trying flashing button rom 1.05 a couple of more times u'll get both 1.05 or u may try this rom,it might do the trick:-

but personally, i believe ur phone is not cid unlocked,check it out
I'had read the thread about the radio ROM that the 2.x radio rom doest support with device with 1.x bootloader like the 1.x IPL and SPL..
My device have:
IPL 1.01
SPL 2.26
how was that?.. is my bootloader version 2 or 1?

i tried to flash 2.19 and 2.47 radio ROM without any problems.. means im 2.x bootloader..
If you don't fix your IPL you're going to have problems...

i had the same situation whn my wiza was cid locked. i flashed it with Button;s rom and got the same situation: mixed IPL/SPL. I made cid unlocked procedure and then flashed the rom that contained IPL/SPL for my device.
i think im getting the logic here..
i should find a rom that contain 2.xx IPL/SPL to be able to upgrde in 2.xx IPL..
better search for that..

You wont find the ROMS itself anymore. Thanks to M$.
You can find a lot about good ROMs and customisations.
You should CID and SIM unlock your device, use the Wizard Service Tool for that
Then choose (WWE= English) and find the ROM you want (I use a modified official AKU 3.3, originally from T-Mobile Croatia)
Then Flash your device.
I just succesful install WM5 English version, and with IPL and SPL 3.08. I try with install many kind of WM6 but nothing happen, still remain WM5. What should I do?

It is likely that you did not CID unlock the device. Just look at the second post and the stickies in this forum.

How can I upgrade my Radio ROM to 2.19.11?
I'e got:
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.01
GSM 1.12.10.0
OS 6.0.0.1
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Did you unzip the folder and run ROM update? If you did then the problem is you need to upgrade to IPL 2.26 & SPL 2.26
It's because you have a 1.xx IPL and SPL. The only way that it is going to work is if you upgrade your ROM. You're going to have to upgrade the whole thing cuz if you would just upgrade the IPL/SPL to 2.xx to make the GSM work then the OS wouldn't.
OR download latest official carrier Rom AKU 2 version,to upgrade to IPL/SPL2.xx,than upgrade to Radio 2.19 if he doesn't want to opt for unlocking and upgrade

Yes it will, unless the ROM contains a CID but I don't know of any that do. I know for sure that the T-Mobile ROM doesn't since it's the one I always flash back to before flashing a newly cooked WM6 ROM.
