How can i get a hold of HTC branded firmware, i work for cingular so a guy walked in wiht a hermes and a wizard both said HTC at the top and it had oem firmware how do u get something like that
come on i know someone knows
If it's that urgent for you to get the answer, why didn't you just ask him?
He got an HTC branded rom or he just changed the splash screen...
he worked for cisco and didnt want to tell me i mean do u guys know where to get htc branded
You don't get HTC Wizard ROM. They sell it under the brand Qtek (Qtek 9100) during that period. He has a reason for not telling you, maybe he is a jerk that likes to keep you on your toes, jumping around in forum for answers. Dont fall for it.

Hi,
I think about getting an HTC Touch Diamond, it will arrive with t-mobile or o2 sim-lock. Is there any way to remove a sim-lock from an HTC Touch Diamond? If yes, please post me some links. I was searching the forums, but there is too much desinformation.
thanks in advance
take care,
m00h
Not even one answer till today? Can't believe that.
Look in the dev part. There's one who can help you out.
-edit- not for free though...
Our T-Mobile MDA devices came without a SIM lock here in the Netherlands.. The Vodafone branded one did however
TMO Germany seems to sell their's without SIMlock, too (mine came unlocked out of the box also...). Dunno about o2, though. there are a bunch of websites who are doing SIM unlocks via IMEI. will cost you something about 25 €s.
Hey everyone, I am a noob, I admit it, Well to this whole phone PDA thing. I have experience with flashing psp's etc, and now my way around electronics. But anyhow, I just bought a AT&T HTC 8925 Tilt TyTN II Kaiser off of Ebay. It suppose to have Windows Mobile 6.0 on it and unlocked. So I can use my tmobile sim card in it. Well what I was wondering is, can I upgrade it to 6.1 or maybe 6.5 and not hurt the fact that it is unlocked? Don't want to upgrade the firmware or whatever you call it, and it becomes locked on me! Also what is this radio thing I read about thru out the forums? Is it like what it sounds like? Radio = listen to FM /AM radio stations, or you laughing at me now and should update me on what it is, thanks

First thing you need to do is read the Kaiser wiki, all the answers to your questions are there without the need to start a new thread. Lecture over
Once unlocked always unlocked no matter if you upgrade the rom. The radio " they " talk about, is the firmware that operates the sound , camera and receiver in the phone. Different " radios " work better with different roms. The Kaiser has no radio per se,
Welcome to XDA, you will enjoy it . A great place to learn just remember to follow the posting rules
Hello Everyone,
Sorry for posting again but I need more answers. I got a second hand G1 from craigslist. I dont know how old it is or what. I have att as my carrier and I called tmobile from my company phone to get it unlocked. But if I need repair I know ATT wont do it! But will htc do it? Can somone post pics of their htc replacement unit and the home screen on? Also can I get them to send me a rogers dream like the ones in canada or at least a dream with their smart dialer on it? Please let me know.
Thank You
I recently bought an Orange branded HTC Touch Diamond, But its been unlocked previous to my purchase and i am using my Vodaphone PAYG SIM in it, Unfortunatly its missing TouchFLO3D. So im interested in doing a ROM upgrade, which im led to understand will get TouchFLO3D back on the device, as well as some other nice improvements.
I understand i can get the updated ROM from Orange, along with install instructions. What im interested to know is, if by installing this ROM will my phone once again be SIM locked to Orange?
I appreciate this may have been discussed already, but since this forum has thousands of threads i couldnt seem to get anything conclusive from searching to directly answer my question.
Any help is apperciated.
Thank You.
Hi guys
I have a black Australian unlocked Telstra HTC One, but there is no sign of any OTA's from Telstra any time soon...
I am wanting to flash a WWE RUU on to it so that I am not carrier restricted
Am I able to flash an Asian WWE RUU over the Telstra one? Has anyone done this yet?
I'm not exactly experienced in the world of Android HTC and their various flashing methods, but would flashing via the RUU be any different to rooting your phone and flashing another custom or stock ROM?
I only say this because my Telstra HTC One was rooted after I bought it and it is now running a custom ROM flashed via CWM recovery and no longer has any Telstra branding.
Edit: I now understand where you are coming from now. I wouldn't have thought you could flash an original ROM based on another phone CID and I can't imagine being able to change your CID without first unlocking the bootloader which kind of defeats the original purpose as you'll end up with a "tampered" phone one way or another.
You can do it but you'll need to change your CID to match the RUU you're going to run.
I'm not sure if you're able to do this with only boatloader unlock any more.
Sent from my HTC One M7
Dang... Oh well, I'll see if I like the HTC1 first, then decide on grabbing a black one from Expansys or Kogan when they have the international unbranded quickly updated versions.. Waiting for updates from Telstra is like men having babies - not happening anytime soon
any luck?

hey man, any luck finding a HTC One Telstra RUU yet? I'm in the same boat. ive been waiting 6 months and still no RUU, been emailing and calling HTC loads and nobody is bothering to help or care. I dont need the RUU, but its good to have just in case.
The only decent piece of info ive managed to get was about HTC Australia authorized repair center.
So basically the company that do repairs in Aus are FoneBiz. They told me today when i called them, that even if you have rooted/unlocked bootloader etc, they will try their best to do an In-Warranty service, but if their system wont recognize the phone, then it'll be an Out of Warranty service.
The Good news is that since the HTC One is pretty much unrepairable, as far as being able to actually get into the handset, is that FoneBiz will just do a full handset replacement. In-Warranty its obviously free, but Out of Warranty is only around $280. So essentially you get a brand new HTC One for less than $300.
So anyone with a Telstra handset who has broken/bricked HTC One, at least you know you can get a brand new replacement for under $300, possibly even free!
