Hi, if you want to make your ba sync with vista, you can download the driver first at windows mobile center 3. here the link : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6A-A72D-4AEF-9663-31CE2FEFBADA&displaylang=en
it has x86 version and here is for the x64 bit version : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...5B-B5BF-472E-97FC-4C9C22225D28&displaylang=en
After I install the driver, I restart my pc first and then I connect my ba with pc ( ussually take a few moment before it open a new windows ), and Viola !!!
It works like a charm. You gonna love the Windows Vista !
I used Windows Vista Ultimate x64
BA WM5 AKU 3.2. I love it !!!!
Thanks HELMI !
still have probelm
many thank for your help download the driver but when trying to install a message occur that telling me that some network error cause to the install to stop x86-msi any idea
thank
Network Error ??? Sorry I don't have that experience with my ba. Are You using WM5 Right ? If that still not work try to reinstall your ROM with AKU 3.2.
If that also fail, then I don't have any idea.
It Works!
Vista RTM Build 6000
I cannot get any thing to work with Windows Vista. I never had problems with XP and my other Wizard. I had it replaced through the insurance. Please help me. I have been through the threads claiming to have some way of tricking Vista with old drivers. I have installed them and had no change. Read all the threads!!
So Dont do it!!!
Man some versions work some doesnt... TRY XP men if you dont have problems since your first Wizard and xp use.
Dont be in panic mode, is not prooved even if many thread said that.
I'm just pissed, i had a great ROM running on my old phone. now i am stuck with a computer running Vista Ultimate and Mobile 5 on he replacement phone. I was hoping somebody found a way to run these Roms through Vista successfully.
Vista support for Windows Mobile is really hit and miss, it works for some, and not at all for others....your best bet is finding a friend with XP and upgrading it there.
Not G4 specific, moved > Upgrading
i use vmware with an xp image to mod my phone, i run vista x64.
Upgrade vista with all available service packs then download the latest version of WMDC from microsoft
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx#download
and try flashing then
If you still have problems try replacing the ruuupgrade files with Muns ones and use these to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=52404&d=1190997171
if that doesnt work then you havent done what i just said

I cannot flash my Wizard now that I have Vista 64-bit. I have followed many different methods that I have found on XDA in the last few days. I've downloaded and ran many different RUU tools, nothing gets me past the RUU crashing.
The one problem that I get hung up on is while installing a new driver for the Pocket PC (wceusbshx64.inf) in device manager I get the error message that the driver is not signed, I click next anyways. I then get the following message "The driver may be corrupt or missing (Code 39)".
Any other ideas? I'm having flashing withdrawals.............
Thank you for your help
Anyone that knows away to get around the above problems? Luckily I still have my XP computer upstairs, so I can still flash new roms. But I would like to keep it all on one computer (Vista)
Thanks

Thanks, I remember seeing that thread before. I'll have to find XP and give it a try. The XP disk I have is for another computer so I'm not sure it will work.
Thanks
Thanks a lot for your great job we really appreciate all your works;
is there a way to flash hardspl and rooms under vista ?;
its a little bit easier than flashing trough sdcard so it will be very kind of you if you show me a way to do this under vista;
thanks a lot bro
Same as XP, I have a vista machine and I have flashed mine many times without problem.
I had some issue with Vista while HSPL. Tried with XP Pro, it works without a hitch.
ROM flashing from storage card is easier too.
I could have save hours (reading up and testing)
Flashing using Vista should be almost the same as using XP. You could run the process with elevated user rights to be on the safe side (not sure right now, if that is even neccessary), but apart from that, it should work without a hitch.
Maybe I should correct my response. I flashed HSPL with XP, never tried it with Vista as it is usually a one time flash. I have since flashed many time the ROM's with vista.
There seems to be an issue with USB and vista and USPL, i only get error messages. under xp its 100% fine every time.
I flashed HSPL with Vista without any problems.
thanks a lot bro for your quick answers its very kind of you
anyway can i flash the hard spl from sdcard with same way of flashing rom from sd card ? and how to do this safetly ?
Many many thanks brothers
htc touch hd user
I had absolutely no problem flashing HSPL with Vista (32 and 64)
There is also an WMDC update for vista that's recommended to install if you havn't already which might help if you're having problems still
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx
i'm using win7 x64 and i'm flashing without any problems ^^
and i've installed the same WMDC, so i suppose it works on fine on vista too
I have a Macbook Pro and never have any problem flashing under Bootcamp Vista Ultimate. HTH.
Hi all i was just wondering i have a Laptop with XP on it that i use just for Flashing because i used to have a HTC Prophet and you could only use XP to Flash a Rom.
I also have a Lappy with Vista on it and i was wondering if it is safe to Flash with the Vista Lappy or is it better to stick with XP.
What problems if any there has been Flashing with Vista thanks

You can flash well in both XP and Vista, the method changes a bit but it can be done
