LED indicators and other peculiarities

I establish a good Wi-Fi connection and the green, right LED inidicator blinks properly.
Same thing with GPS except it's an amber LED blinking.
Phone signal indicator has the "E" for the Edge network, "H" and so on after establishing the Wi-Fi connection
TomTom shortcut appears under "No upcoming appointments" after TomTom installation.
The LED's alternate if both the Wi-Fi and GPS are going at the same time.
After re-starting the phone, all of the above stop blinking or goes away. The "E" and "H" indicator on the signal strength just turns to an antenna icon. I could probably oversee that because with Wi-Fi, Edge doesn't need to be active.
I've hard reset at least 4 times already and tried to trace my steps to see what could be causing this. I've installed or changed and then re-started after each install or change and each setting is individually rescinded.
I pretty much have decided NOT to re-start after making these changes and installs.
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Should I be saving somewhere after all these changes?

i have the stable final version of CM 6.1
gps is not locking on.
i have read about changing APNs or something
is anyone experiencing this as well or know of a fix?

Are you inside of a building when you try to locate yourself? I tried to locate myself sitting in my living room with GPS & WiFi on (my house is a notorious T-Mobile deadzone). It would only lock on to 40m, which means it's using a router. As soon as I stepped outside into my front yard, almost an instant lock from GPS. It's about 5-10 feet off (my guess), but better than 40 meters

Part of the solution to fix GPS with CM6.0 was to add
supl to APN type (data APN).
For CM6.1 stable you should delete anything in the APN type.

Download Speed Fluctuates

I'm not sure what the situation is, I've tried different radios but it seems like my download speed fluctuates from 100 kbps to 3 mbps downspeed but upload stays at a constant 1 mbps.
Radio is 20.2811.30.085AU_3805.09.03.27_M
Kernel 2.6.35.14-UNITY-V9
ROM Virtuous Unity v2.39.0
Anyone get the same thing? It's weird wifi works perfectly fine.

Data speeds vary depending on a few factors:
1. Your radio.
2. People transferring data on the same network/tower as you
3. Your signal strength.
4. Applications running data transfers in the b/g
5. Bandwidth limitations of the websites servers your downloading from.
6. Many more randoms (weather, website traffic, interference)
As for your upload speed your carrier has a cap on that so your not being data whore.

I should have been a little more specific with my situation
I'll run multiple speed tests with speedtest.net and one may come out at 1 mbps another will come out at 300~ kpbs and another will come out 3 mpbs. I honestly find it hard to believe bandwidth available within the network can fluctuate so quickly. My signal strength is full bars constant, no applications are running in the background when running the speedtest. I'm supposing it could be my radio that's going bad? I'm not sure :X Trying to update to the radio Radio 20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M ran it through bootloader and it gets to parsing the file but after that nothing. Any ideas? I've edited the text file to fit my bell incredible s and I'm on eng s off. Hmm...

Trust me data will go up and down like crazy.

Samsung Galaxy S advance low wifi signal

I just bought one S Advance few days ago.i noticed that my wi-fi signal is significantly lower than my girlfriend's HTC Rhyme. Also when i keep the phone on my desk, in the same room with the rooter (3 meters away from it) my wifi signal is full Instead when i pick the device in my hand the signal drops 1 or even 2 lines of signal and it keeps oscilating. Not mentioning that in public places i sometimes can't connect to a wifi because i don't have enough signal but the HTC does.
I nstalled several wifi monitors like wifi analyzer or wifi signal info and the last one shows how my signal decreseases when i pick the device in my hand (aprox 15-20%).The internet still works fine in the same room with thee router but if i go few meters from the room it drops significantly and charging internet pages becomes poor or null.And in public places is kind of funny.If i keep the device on the table the signal is 2-3 lines but when i put it under the table or just turn the back on the router the signal just drops 1 line and the internet is not working anymore
I want to know if it`s my device problem only or if someone else is experiencing the same. I saw a lot of posts about weak wifi signal on SGS II. Does the S advance has the same problem ?
Should i return the device to the provider for replacement or it's just normal?

My router is in another room - about 6 meters away with bathroom on straight line from my desk to the router and I got 3 out of 4 bars on 'wifi manager' - no mattrer if phone sits on the desk or I am playing with it in my hands. Internet works as usual everywhere in my flat - no matter where I am,
Public wifi getting 1-2 bars on wifi manager works ok - I blame speed cap for slower loading pages on public wifi - must try speedtest while on it to be sure.
Bought my device in December - it was used for like 2-3 months when I bought it.

Try ThunderZap kernel, I was getting better signal with it in places where I didn't have at my home.

Thanks guys. Yesterday i tested my phone with another s advance.also new. and they had pretty much the same signal on wifi signal info app.i`m not complaining about internet connection in my room...no matter how many lines the internet is still working fine.But if i hold the phone with one hand and cover his back the signal decreases and holding it from above part =up one line.but in public places it sucks.Keeping my hands on the table=2 lines, under the table=1 line and unusable internet.pretty much annoying. I guess it's samsung`s hardware problem with this wifi antennas.
With wifi manager about 5-6 meters away from the router, straight line:
86% percent signal keeping the phone from it's top = -62dbm, 3 lines
60% percent signal keeping the phone normally as in daily use = -75dbm, 3 lines

Photos too blurred and slow download speeds over Wi-Fi

Hi all, so I have couple of issues with my P30 Pro:
1. The photos of people are too blurred, i.e. the skin is too blurred, to the point where it looses defining features, knees aren't defined, the skin looks completely different and so on. I can probably post couple of pictures if you need. The background of these pictures (the nature) is pretty sharp though. Tried Auto mode with Master AI both enabled and disabled, Pro mode, HDR mode, at all times of day.
2. Download speeds since the update to EMUI 10.1 (and several updates after) on 5GHz WiFi 5 (ac) network are limited to 110 Mbps, although the upload maxes out at my connection limit (600 Mbps), my laptop gets 500-600 Mbps download speeds over the same network. I have 1 Gbps download and 600 Mbps connection. And before the EMUI 10.1 update I was getting comfy 400-500 Mbps download on my phone.
Does someone have any ideas? Especially on WiFi

You should post example photo here where your problem can be clearly seen.
This look like a case of camera without autofocus, focused on infinity. If there happened, it can probably be solved because it's software based.
