Maybe they are new, cause the date is from 4. Oct. 2005.......

Im guessing the "_ship" part means thats what was shipped with the device.
Most of the available ROMs on the ftp contains the _ship. So i do not believe that it is the original ROM.
But users of the wizards could easily compare it. So this posting was just informatial......

I am very new to this forum.
I live in Italy and I am interested in buying a Wizard.
Up to now only the WWE edition is going to be available here.
The question is: is possible/easy to upgrade the rom with a Italian one?
Will the localized Italian rom be updated as frequently as the WWE will?
Ah, another one: the Italian version will have a italian keyboard?

I have downloaded this ship rom and ran the installer to confirm the version. I got a really strange result that maybe others can tell me what they mean.
On the final confirmation screen before starting the rom update process it states that it is upgrading to model id of Prodigy with Image version 09.
What the heck is this, a beta pre-ship release maybe? The attached image clearly shows a picture of the wizard device so i'm wondering what imate are doing.
Needless to say, there's no way i was going to press next and actually install it as i wouldn't want to risk ending up with a 2 day old paperweight :wink:

prodigy was the orginal name of the wizard before the changed from what i remeber, i could be worng tho :lol:
can i change German to English by this file?

Sure. You can use K-Jam or QTek9100 rom on Dopod 838.
Unlocked it first. Backup your original rom with "r2sd all" command.
And try to upgrade with K-Jam or Qtek9100 rom.

These roms are only for I-Mate K-Jam? Can we install em on Qtek 9100?

I've got a Tmo-wing and I'm installing an HTC-Branded Herald Spanish Rom (yeah.. i know about the keyboard problem.. i'll work it later).
I've already installed the spanish rom available at the wiki (props to pof for his herald-uspl) but it turned out to be a WM5 rom..
Right now i'm looking for the HTC-Branded P-4350's Spanish WM6 ROM wich I can´t find neither download from HTC-Club due to the fact that my P/N it's a wing's one, not P-4350... bummer

It's possible to use P3600i rom on P3600
I'm using the latest Dopod release, it's for P3600i but using the olipro's SPL 3.03 (if i'm not wrong this was) and changing the OS base address from 0x400 to 0x401 in the nbh generator you'll haven't any problem.
So P3600i is worse... cos p3600i without xda cooked roms is NOTHING lol
Now I know why I dont see cooked roms to p3600i,,,
