I was reading this on MS Mobiles looks interesting
We have got this photo and information from our sources at O2 and here are some further highlights about HTC Prophet that are known by now:
built-in FM Radio
built-in Wi-Fi (unknown whether also 802.11g or only 802.11b)
powered by Windows Mobile 5.0
processor: 416 MHz
display: QVGA (240x320 pixels), 65k colors
camera: 2 megapixel with Flash
form factor: Similar size as Magician but Slimmer.
cellular networks support: EDGE, GPRS, GSM
ROM and RAM: still no information available
Please note, that O2 Xda Atom, that O2 Asia will start selling in December 2005 is not made by HTC but by Quanta - although having very similar specifications like HTC Prophet.
Conclusion: built-in FM Radio is extremely important in some countries, particularly in Asia, and therefore having a HTC made Pocket PC phone with built-in FM radio will be crucial for overall success of Windows Mobile phones. [/quote]
FM Radio would be nice, but that thing's ugly :/

i see that a S710 (Vox) have an hardware keyboard backlight. my Wings has not. is that true or only a mailfunction of my wings?
the numeric pad has an backlight on the wings..
BG Joy
The wings also has a keyboard backlight, however if you have the 'Light sensor' enabled, it will not always be on. After disabling this light sensor my keyboard backlight is now always on when I slide it open.

The option is in Power Management.
compliment! Thank you for your assistance I was completly confused I should make a proposal for the first smartphones in our office. i try at the Moment from HTC the S710 and S730.
and i think S710 is much better, we dont need UMTS / 3G for email push, the S710 is smaller, nicer, cheaper and the keyboard light lights better
and of all: S730 don´t have GPS, so there is no advantage at all.
More ram and a much better processor doesnt count?
As the s730 has the RAM issue - (same free RAM as 710) and the processor is underpowered (some guys also respond faster sw reaction time on s710) - seems that you could not count it :-(.
thats right, s710 feel a little bit faster. Test with 2 hardreseted devices without software, as example switching between landscape mode if you open the external keyboard. and RAM:
the most of our users use from a smartphone only for email push services. (sometimes a dictionary and a password safe)
what do you mean the processor is underpowered?
did u hear about the issue with the ATI graphics card internally built in but not supported with optimal drivers?

Yes, I know - that is why I mentioned it as underpowered. Well on http://htcclassaction.org/ pages using the expression: " This means our really expensive HTC phones (the TyTN II is about $700) are grossly underperforming." - same as s730. So, in the end the processor currently (with the last ROM version) has slower reaction time then s710 with 201 MHz core. Confirmed also by joy.d above.
Seems to me HTC scamp the job on s730 and it is a big pity. Wings was adept (with expected GPS) on very attractive smartphone. But the result - if you see here all these threads with so many particular problems (compare it with s710) - HTC made very bad work. Regrettably. Also check the company support responses on mentioned page - do you like it? Grrrr.
so do you think HTC will ever release some update which actually unleashes the full potential (RAM issue or 400MHZ core) of our HTC wings?
does the HTC wings also have the ATI graphics accelerator?
thanks for the expertise

Here is one big opportunity for HTC. If I understand well, s730 was not released for USA market yet. (http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1045). And it is very big market. We can hope, that HTC use the owner responses as back loop and now they are cooking new ROM to be more successful.
Concerning the driver missing: Again from mentioned page: "At the time of this writing, all HTC devices based on the MSM7200 and MSM7500 chipsets from Qualcomm seem to be affected." - so s730 too.
i notice there is 2 types of kaiser , one with front camera (video calls) and one without front camera . what is the name of the one who has front camera ?
EDIT : and forgot to ask , is there any other differences between them ?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser
Once again, reading the wiki answered a question. Somebody should post it as a stick on this forum or something.
thank you for answering , feeling stupid since it on wiki ....
by the way, is it possible to make video calls with the non camera kaiser phone ? ( maybe with the rear one )
AT&T has a video calling feature where it is one-way video conferencing with the rear camera: the Tilt isn't officially supported IIRC....unofficially, I have no idea if it could be done. However, AT&T's current network isn't setup for video conferencing two-way yet, so unless you are traveling to elsewhere anytime soon...

hi
one more for future info updates:fingers-crossed:
There aren't alot of Lumia devices their own thread nor, let alone their own listing in the device section. I was hoping that the Lumia 928 was going to get added, but sadly it might not happen.
Anyone tried gdr3 for 625???

Is where maybe already a custom rom for Nokia 625?
Um... haha no. I mean, it'd be cool, but there are hardly *any* WP8 custom ROMs. Lumias (and most other WP8 devices) are locked down much too tightly.
Unlock code for lumia 625
DOES Anyone know if there is the unlock tool out for the Lumia 625 please? i am desperate for it.
thanks

EVERY LUMIA USER IS DYING TO HAVE ANY KIND OF UNLOCK.
and yes, all caps necessitates me yelling at my phone seeing this comment for the trillionth time.

I *think* the OP is actually asking for a SIM unlock (but doesn't know enough to know that there are many kinds of unlock, apparently...).
Good news
Hey guys, I gotta good news!
I bought a lumia 625 in the last year in December, but until now , I got stuck with WP8 unforunately. I was really interested in Windows Phone platform, but hard restrictions makes me feel like I have a nearly strong, but an absolute useless mobile. I like to gain the best of all the features whitch comes whit my device, but in this way, Nokia is still two steps behind from the other manufacturers of the market. I follow day by day the infos of the Android project Nokia X, so I've decided to check my bootloader somehow, to test the possibilities if in the future can be able to port a CFW into the phone.
-Turned the phone off,
-Pressed the Volume Up button and kept holding it
-Connected a USB cable to the PC
- And voila, A NEW UNLOCKED QUALCOMM DEVICE WAS RECOGNISED BY OS (instead of Nokia DLOAD)
Try it now

Ähm.... what exactly are you trying?
And what do you want?
Do you want an unlocked bootloader?
Or do you want SIM-Unlock?
If you connect your device and it shows "qualcomm device", does windows ask you to format your drive? (if it does, do NOT format, press cancel!! as in old Lumia 800 days)

I'm just having a trial of if I have an unlocked bootloader or not. I do not want to unlock the sim-lock, but if it possible, I would change the firmware to another (get started trying to port android somehow). I know, that there's a large scale of Android running smartphones nowadays, but lumia devices have uniq beautiful design, and well quality of hardwer. So if there's a potencial chance of success, why not?
SORRY guys i was a little basic on the 1st post, what i want to do is use another network on the phone, its locked to one company and i want to use another companies sim, is this possible without having to pay for it pls?
Sorry about that

I highly doubt that happens. If you hold the volume up button during boot, you'll put the phone into some sort of mode (forgot the exact name), but the OS won't recognize it as a mass storage device. If anything, you'd get a QUALCOMM MSM DEVICE or something like that, which isn't of much use either. And if you connect the phone during normal boot procedure, you'll probably get a NOKIA BOOTMGR for a couple of seconds before the OS finishes booting and the MTP kicks in.
This isn't WP7. Production WP8 Nokias are all protected by SecureBoot and a whole bunch of other stuff, so you can give up your hopes of a factory unlocked bootloader.
