Anyone could confirm if the screen of the kaiser is same as the Hermes ?
Under align screen display (which is all white), do you see any faint gray shadow at the bottom ?

I think that screen on the Kaiser is way better than Hermes. I can't see anything on the Hermes screen outside on the bright light.

Ditto, I have a 8525 and a Hermes. The Kaiser's screen is crisper and brighter.
On the minus side the daylight reading isn't really any better.
the resolution and size is indeed the same, if that's what your asking.

Not exactly - Kaiser's screen is a little bit smaller (like 1-2 mm less on both width and height). Check with the ruler. At least I've checked, as I wanted to find out if screen protector from Hermes will fit to Kaiser - but it won't.
not the resolution ....
Under alignment screen, tap "align Screen" (which is all white), do you see any faint gray shadow at the bottom ?
The trinity has it but not the hermes...

Hey guys, there seems to be something a little irregular with the screen. When I press on the screen anywhere, there is a spot on the screen that appears to be what looks like pressure being exerted on it. Just like how it looks when you press on the LCD screen of a laptop. This happens also when i press on the case at the top on the left side. The spot I am talking about is about 1 in down from the top of the screen and about 1.5cm to the right from the left of the screen. It is not easily seen unless the screen is displaying a very dark background.
There is a membrane over the surface of the screen that will flex as any pressure is applied to the touch screen, both by the pen and by the frame. If you look at it through polarized sunglasses you can see the effect of any pressure quite dramatically. Unless the screen is malfunctioning or there is color distortion, I don't see a problem.

i dont think thats what hes talking about, he makes it sound like whne he touches the screen a "lcd ripple" appears somewhere else on the screen.
Mine does this when i slide hte keyboard, i can see one in the middle, it kinda worries me, especially since my last kaiser's screen broke and i didnt do anything, i just took it out of my pocket and it was like that.
Is the MDA screen any different to the Diamond screen?
I had an Orange Diamond, which I did not like so that went back. Instead I ordered the curvier MDA which I really like.
The reason I ask is that, I seem to recall viewing the Daimonds screen in strong sunlight and it was quite visible (Just had to get the angle right!).
However, its almost impossible to see the MDA screen in strong sunlight. Does not matter what angle I view the phone from!
Am I imagining things or is the Diamonds screen a transflective type thats viewable with backlighting or in strong sunlight
Thanks in advance
Hello,
if I use my X1 in a dark ambience with a dark background on the telephone, I can see that some areas of the display are brighter than others (particularly the top right and left side of the display).
Its only visible in dark areas with a dark picture on the telephone (e.g. the Sony Ericsson start up screen). If I have a colured picture or white picture and if the ambience is bright I cant see the brighter areas anymore.
Is this phenomenon ok or is my X1 damaged?
I think its normal (whether that's OK for you or me is a different question)
There were 2 or 3 threads on this a couple of months back -try searching for "light bleeding" or "screen fade" or "light leakage" and you should find them
Thank you for the post!
Seems that everyone has this problem so it wouldnt be helpful to return it, right?
How do you mean i don't get it.
i don't have any problems with the backlight
Than you are a lucky man

Thnx, I hope i don't get any problems with my backlight or else i would be very upset
My X1 doesn't seem to have this issue
But maybe I should try with something darker than this...
You need to photograph your display while having a dark picture on it. The failure is a physical one, that is why you cant save it with a screenshot.
Another question:
Varies the intensity of the bleeding problem from phone to phone or has the problem everytime the same intensity on every phone in case that the problem occurs?
Regards

The top left/right corners are a bit "yellow" for me, I guess that's just normal.
It really isn't noticable most of the time though, so I don't care about it .
Yes you are absolutely right, they are a bit yellow!
And only visible with a black backround, right?
Probably heat related.
Check it with the X1 stone cold, check it when it's been in use for a while.
Sorry but what is the X1 stone cold?

Oops sorry, regional thing I guess.
I mean when it's cold as in hasn't been turned on for a while, hasn't been on charger for a while (and is as cold as a stone )
Hmh as far as I can see is the problem everytime the same. It doesnt matter if the telephone is hot or not.
Old thread, but actual situation...
I have the same problem: on the top right corner (and just a bit on the top left corner) when the display is on and black (start up, panel manager etc.), i see a yellow light...
Should i return it?
I know its difficult to see on the picture but my replacement black One on the right is darker at full brightness than my white one on the left.. I know they use different lcd's due to quality issues now and the white one has a stuck pixel so at least the black one is free from that it just doesnt look right and is annoying me.. and input?
PS: when using the camera app the black one seems to always be focusing!! they are on the same settings, software and same looking at the same image, really strange
You are aware that you don't have the brightness turned fully up on the right device aren't you?

LOLOLOLOL that's an epic fail ... OP, surely you can see that in the pic! ... I have the black one and it only focuses when I touch to focus.
Yeah mines the same, works perfectly fine regarding that.
I have sorted the focus issue out with a hard reset they now both perform the same, the brightness is turned down slightly to show the blue colour better..
Only the bottom part of the screen is a bit darker than other areas
Does anyone have this same issue?

Sort of, if by which you mean that literally the very top of the screen - a row or two of pixels immediately beneath the notch - is very slightly brighter than the rest of the screen.

In my case, 0.5cm at the bottom border of the screen are a bit darker.
