Bad HTC press/publicity

One of the few ways we can effectively fight back against HTC is with the bad press/publicity the whole driver fiasco is creating for them.
It is pretty funny when you sometimes read a blog post / article about some new product of theirs and the first 10 comments underneath the posting/article are negative for HTC and in some way refer to the lack of drivers on the current devices.
I thought we might be able to create even more negative publicity (especially since they did not stick to their word to offer a fix by the end of March).
For that purpose I would like to start this thread.
Please do not post ANYTHING but links to HTC related articles/blog posts/reviews where people can leave their comments.
If you want to discuss this threat, the driver issue or anything else, please start a new thread or post it in some other, already existing threat.

I love my TyTN II, but if i want this phone to last me for over a year I'm gonna want to do more with it, including video intensive applications... I'm already sad over the whole 3 mega pixel camera that takes 5 seconds to shoot a photo... and takes 10 seconds to START recording video..
I bought my Tilt mainly for fun, but I find the 3mp camera to be a heavily used feature now at my job (handy since I don't need a separate camera).. but the video lag for preview's is horrible!

I've posted on every link with bad comments about HTC.
This is a great idea. With enough people doing this we could flood sites with bad talk about HTC.

They just won PC Mag's editor's choice with the Tilt. It'd take a lot of bad press to counteract that.

i've also posted several negative articles on them, see for example the one i've posted yesterday in the General forum.

Theme set up

I read Stericson's post but honestly I liked how it was set up the old way. What do you guys think? Would it be possible to bring it by "Popular Demand" of what we the users want? Or is it set and locked like this for ever. I don't know imo makes things a bit confusing..

I agree with you. I only have a G1; therefore, I have only tested my theme with a G1, and anyone with another android device, while it should work, but I will not know whether it will work out of the box. Also, I do not care to see all of themes made exclusively for the htc hero (since those will not run on the G1). There should be the android themes forum for themes that have been made to run on every android phone on this site, but there should be a place in the specific device forum for themes that will only work with that phone.

Exactly, it should be kept within the appropriate device section how it was before. I have XDA DREAM bookmarked never saw the front page in my life until today.

lmao, so i am not the only one that has never seen the front page. i forget there are even other areas on this site. like you said about having a dream, that is what i have, i don't want to see things for other devices that i cannot use, or other people with other devices to see what i have and cannot use it.

I thought that dream/magic were the only 2 phones on this site since i had those bookmarked.

i was so confused when i saw all the threads in the theme section were marked as read, then i noticed they were moved and i thought to myself "this does not please me." haha

yuh now i had to re bookmark and its not as easy on the phone now i have to re direct my bookmarks..this is honestly a bad decision but id probably get banned for speakin my mind!

Can't find what you are looking for and what device it runs on

even better, go look past the first 2 or 3 pages in the dream themes and wallpapers section, nothing has been moved. all of the device specific stuff was moved to general, and all of the general was left in the device specific area. now i just feel even more confused by this decision.

Most of the hits come from google/searchbots and people searching.. I mod another forum and notice it.
I'm wondering about the HTC camera drivers.. seems the DZ is getting a little progress on it.

Yeah your right if I search any of the topics in here there at the top of Google.
Apparently they have image capture working, yet no video.... Maybe another thousand or so emails to HTC will help lol.
