Looking for a corded stereo HEADSET with microphone - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Looking for a corded stereo HEADSET with microphone for telephone calls and listening to music with a USB connector for AT&T Tilt. THANKS for any recommendation…

Get one with a regular 3.5 jack and an adaptor - more choice that way I would have thought.
Please let us know which you end up buying, and why.
Cheers,
Joe

Don;t you get one for free with the device?

Check out seidio online too .. this model here looks interesting ... you can use your own headset, but also answer calls/talk on the phone. I have not tried this, but plan to.

Does the W100 work with any other software than media player?....
Will Conduits pocket player work with it using some existing plugin?

tried it, all I know it will work with the audio manager and the WMP, but not the core player. not tried with the pocket player 3.50 , the last few times i installed it, it messed up the menu of the phone, so I will not use pocket player again.

Playing music

for playing music there are two standard options.
the tf3d player and the wmp10. both have problems.
the tf3d player cannot adjust the volume. so you will always have to adjust the total volume.
and both do not have a good library.
i would like a library that shows all the music with artist name and title, and offers you an easy way of playback. with keys you can use with your fingers.
this is an example.

unfortunately pocket player crashes after using it for 1 minute. I do not know why.
so does anyone have a solution, or maybe another player that gives you the same functionality and works.
hi,
if you want to have a very good (maybe the best) mp3 player, you have tu use S2P! and thank A_C for his good job!

I still like and use the original classic HTC AudioManager which runs on the Diamond quite happily alongside the new one.
Very easy to use with fingers and very clear library lists.
Other than that I use Pocket Player and, although slow to start, it has never crashed on either standard or Bepe's rom.
Audiomanager in VGA (bad screenshot - looks much better on Diamond screen!):
It's amazing how you can buy a top end mobile phone with TWO MP3 PLAYERS built in and yet you still have to download third party software to get the job done properly!
It seems that HTC spent so much time pretending to be the iPhone that they forgot to add functionality to such an important feature!
Anyway, I'm off searching for the vga HTC Audio Manager!
as i said, the pocket player crashes on my stock nld rom.
the htc audio manager gives a lot of problems as far as i read in the forum.
the s2p (free by the way) does a nice job.
the volume slider is a bit insensitive, but you can use the up down on the dpad. choosing a number with your finger sometimes makes you choose a number that you did not want, but that is practice

$5 for anyone who makes this simple program for me

Hey, I've got a 'ghetto' little in car computer system set up and it's a pain having to tap-tap on a 7 inch onscreen keyboard obviously not made for fingers. A full size keyboard just isn't practical in a car environment, however the Kaiser already has a very nice petite one built in.
If anyone can make me a program to send keystrokes FROM the phone TO the computer via USB or bluetooth (usb preferred) I'll paypal them $5, or whatever they see it worth. Thanks a lot!
Good Luck finding someone to do THAT much in depth programing for $5.
But Hey You could get a Sub Sammich!

It's not that much work... (although I'm not taking on any more projects at the moment).
You just need a RAPI Client/Server App coding that can pass the key strokes back and forth.

I'm confused if by car computer system you mean a legitimate computer in your car. If so, GRemote should do the trick http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427097
you could also use mymobile. It mirrors the keystrokes to the computer or vice versa. not sure if this is what you need but thought I would throw it out there.
ill do it
and retire to oz on the payout..... all £3.28 @ todays exchange rate
It could be helpful. I plan to install a computer in my Nissan Xterra, ITX board and 7" touchscreen LCD. I have the ITX board and everything is ready to install but it's too much money to buy the touchscreen LCD. So instead I deside to break a laptop a part (Dell LH400 NON touchscreen 12") I plan to have the screen in the front somewhere and the board will be in the back and control the laptop with my tilt (w/USB cable or BT). It will be nice to have this kind of software on my tilt.
mayby it should have shortcut to to find application on the computer, like video, pix, gps software, players and more
Gremote
as haywiremonkey said Gremote works very well for that i use it all most every day, i use it over wifi but it says it works over bt also just never tried it. i found gremote in the touch pro software section of the forum.

[Q] [HTC HD2] Headset plug in with mic and music control

Hello ,
Since my old HTC Artemis is dying slowly, I have bought an HTC HD2.
I am looking for a headset plugger(where I can plug in a 3.5mm headphone) which can connect to the HTC HD2 and has a mic, music control(play/ pause/ skip and call pick up/ cancel facility. I read through the old threads and the closest I came to was combining the original headset with another one.
Please suggest me a working one.
Thanks
I would suggest bluetooth stereo headphones. They have the buttons to do all your music playing or phone calling all while your phone stays in your pocket. I use them religiously. I'm at work right now using them. Also use them with the bluetooth on my laptop.
Are there no wired sets who can do this as well?Bluetooth would be awesome had they not needed the battery to be charged.Which model do you use and recommend?

There are, but once you go wireless bluetooth you don't want to have wires again. I know I don't. I have a set of RocketFish. These specifically. I love them.

You can find in the ear sets also. The specific set you get should suit your taste. Just make sure it has buttons for call, play, forward, back, up vol and down vol. I can start/stop my music, skip forward and back through songs, answer or send a call to voicemail, start a call with voice dialer, and control the volume all with my phone in my pocket.
Hi
Thanks for the info.
Would you have a model number for this specific one?And it also has a built in mic?
Thanks

Rocketfish™ Mobile RF-MAB2 High-Definition Stereo Bluetooth Headphones - Black
Yes it has a mic. I use it for calls and have been told it sounds good on the other end.
*edit*
If anyone buys these... read the directions and change the sound settings. The last setting offers great sound for music, videos, and games.

[Q] Sports Headphones w/ skip/pause/mic

I am after headsets that wrap over ear for running, so cant use the stock ones that just fall out - does anyone know if any exist that allow the use of the skip/pause/mic feature?
I had a thought that the myriad of iPhone accessories might be an option, so tried some old headsets (had the same plug segments etc, but the skip track didn't work - only pause/play). Might have been the old headsets, but dont want to buy new if they aren't compatible. Should the iPhone/iPod ones work?
Any help appreciated

They are a bit uncomfortable, but I think it is because I have a bigger than usual noggin. Anyway, after a while I got used to them. They sound really good, they do not block outside sound, which is a plus for me (can hear traffic/cars behind me), the battery is rated at 14 hours (I have never been able to drain it completely), and they have very strong btooth reception. They even have a built in 4 presets equalizer. Only downside I have found is that microphone call quality is not great. Usually the person I am talking to cannot hear me clearly.
Oh, and the music controls work perfectly.

It's not the old headsets, I will confirm that iphone controls won't have skip tracks working with android phones. I think there are very few sports type of headsets that will have android controls. Your best bet is probably to look into the bluetooth headsets as they will have the controls working.

Google Maps not playing directions via Bluetooth

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone here has had this issue and knows how to fix it.
So I enabled directions via Bluetooth in Google Maps, but yet the car's audio system doesn't play them.
Music plays fine over Bluetooth from my phone, so at least I know the phone or Bluetooth are the issue.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Sent from my G8441 using Tapatalk
there is a option to play in car speakers (bluettoth) or the phone itself (even when conected to bluetooth). Is it playing in the phone at least, whil you're in your car and with bluetooth on?
^ once I select the option to play over Bluetooth, then the phone doesn't play them.
So in effect I don't get any directions, which is a bit of a problem.

OK, I tried something else just now: playing music from my phone over Bluetooth, the Google maps directions work over the car's audio.
But if I'm listening to the radio or CD, then it doesn't...
It's the same in both cars, so looks like a phone/android bug?

Uh dude, that's normal...
If your Android phone is connected via Bluetooth to your radio, of corse radio itself must be on Bluetooth mode (not radio or cd) it order to listen audio.
What is NOT normal is not being able to listen audio (google maps or any other audio media) even if your radio is in Bluetooth mode.
