Hello, i installed a Software spb pocket plus on wm6. After reset my P3600 it hangs on the start screen.
I see the HTC Logo and:
M 05 R 1.46.30.11
G 32.79.7020.19W
B 05 D 3.00
it stays on this screen with this info, i can not access to the usb update screen. Windows dont detect any "new" usb device.
Do i have to press some botton to acces the usb screen? can i make a "total" reset of the device?
Thanks for help.
uf all ok again
after the hard reset it boot again
to make a Hard Reset press left Software and right Software bottom (oposite of the windows and ok bottom) and the same time the small hole near the usb connector.
after an hour of panicing i came across this thread...thank god for this forum otherwise my retardness would have cost me a phone

After installing Registry Wizard and tweaking stuff on my MDA Vario, my device rebooted and just stayed on the white screen displaying the operating system configuration screen. I couldn't do anything else with it - I thought it was dead! Having searched all over, I've written a piece about resetting your device here. The one that worked for me for this particular problem was method 3 (but I think method 2 works as well but I didnt have it at the time)
PS I found that it happens when you change the default input from keyboard to something else. Leave it at keyboard and everything should be Ok. Registry Wizard is nonetheless a COOL program, just don't alter the keyboard setting.
Hard Resetting MDA Vario
There are different severities of hard resetting your MDA vario. Which one you use depends on what you are trying to achieve. If your phone is stuck and wont let you play, try the hard core resets (progress from method 1 (less sever) to method 3 (most severe). If it’s just a bit slow, try the soft reset.
HARDCORE RESET 1
start>settings>system tab> Clear Storage
This will still clear all your data and all the programs you have loaded onto your device. You’ll need to start all over again.
HARDCORE RESET 2
I hold the Comm and Voice Button (top two buttons on the side) AND the camera button (bottom right). Keep them pressed in and hit the reset with your stylus. Keep pressed in and let go of the stylus. Release when you see the following message:
PRESS Send to restore factory default,
SEND is the green lift up phone button on the left
It will do a brief format and restore to factory settings.
HARDCORE RESET 3
If your MDA wont budge with HARDCORE RESET 1 or 2, try this:
Enter Bootloader, - hold the "camera" (bottom right) and briefly press the reset button, don't release "camera" until you can see colour screen, connect USB cable, and start to re-flash the ROM (download the latest flash rom update from http://t-mobile.iris-global.com/download_manager_mda_vario.html
SOFT RESET METHOD 1
This is the lightest of the reset methods. This is the one to use if you want to reset your device without having to re-install all your personal programs and data
Simply press the reset hole with your stylus on the right hand side of the MDA device.
DEAD WHITE SCREEN
This was the most usefull help I have ever got ! Spent 3 hours in searching the forums, how to make my Wizard bootable after installing Resco Keyboard Pro. The only option was HARDCORE RESET 3 and reflashing the ROM.
Thanks for the great help !!!
cheers this has helped me too... rest number 2... will have to restore all my data though...
Reset 3 was the only thing that worked.

Thank you for all this great information I am currently typing with one hand wondering how long I should hold the camera button? If you could fill me in on this information that would br greatly appreciated. I have tried almost everything and i can't get away from this darn white screen. My Qtek 9100 otherwise seems to function
ok.
no sync
my activesync doesnt work i tried option 3 and went into bootloader mode tried the rom but it doesnt detect my phone. any suggestions
Re: no sync
Mehayuk, thank you, thank you and thank you again.
My MDA rebooted and it stayed with the white screen. Couldn't do a hard reset.
I thought it was dead.
Finally I found this thread and your number three method revived my Vario.
So thank you again for this most usefull post I have encountered on the internet.
Dead HTC Qtek 9100
I did hard reset my MDA with 3rd mothod. I was able to flash up to 100%. When device restart, it just stuck on T-mobile screen. I tried to do hard reset by using 2nd method but it didn't work, format failed. Is it posible that my rom is dead? Please help.
restarted my phone at work today and all it does now is go straight to the tri colour boot loader screen. Iv take sím out, SD card out, battry out, nothing works.
Put the USB cable in and it starts on its own straight to the tri colour screen without pushing start button
Any ideas..
Thanks Ahead
Maybe it´s as easy as that the camera-button is stuck? That happened to me with the power button. Now the power button is a bit "loose" in feel but is not active all the time.
yeap
I thought of that, iv pushed the camera button quiet a few times trying to see if its stuck but it didnt help at all, still doing it. If i connect the USB cable with no battery in it starts up on its own as well and goes straight to the boot loader screen.
Its says
WING220 MFG
SPL-0.91.hard
CPLD-7
USB
update
A quick update, if i actually put the USB headphones in the phone and try to start it it works. A restart with them in works to. Take them out and its straight to bootloader again. LOL Also Windows does not recognise the phone when its conected via USB cable when its running. This seems to be a USB problem of some kind. Iv done a hard reset as well, no luck.
Try this: enter bootloader and type "boot". If it again enters bootloader after restarting do the same thing again. Hopefully that fixes it.
hehe
No change. Only way to start the phone is with the headphones connected. When the phone is running and i conect it to the pc i get this " One of the USB devises attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it "

Try "task 8" in bootloader and then "ResetDevice"
(ps do *not* experiment with other parameters!)
nope
When i used "boot" it made a buzz and went to a white screen, had to remove battry to restart, it didnt help, tried 3 times.
" task 8 " it goes dark for a split second and back to the bootlaoder screen. remove bat. restart back to bootlaoder screen
oh after i type task 8 i get an error that pops up in mtty
wceusbsh004 port read error occured
try Hard resting it but juss to let u kno IF U DO THIS U WILL LOSE a last memory u did even phonebook and all resets like new i had to do it cuz i had a prob i could not text n stuff now it works fine after HARD RESETING
doesnt work
Iv already done the hard reset from within WM when i get the phone to work, it didnt help.
Try the hard reset after re-inserting battery immediately at power on.
(keep left- and right softkey pressed and power on I think is the key combination)
mmm
trying to do it but i must be doing the key combination wrong. Just keeps going to tri colour.
I presume you meen the soft keys on the sides of the s730. Camera key and the Comm Key.

No, the softkeys are the two buttons next to the joystick, see here ->IMAGE<-

nope
Iv tried the keys on the side, iv tried the keys on the keypad. i just dont get it to work...
mm
@ Jocky...
I eventually managed to do a hard reset, the problem was it just kept going to the bootscreen so i tried it with the headphones pluged in and then it worked, lol, but on the reboot it just went straight back to the tri colour screen again.. So no help there.

Hmm, looks like a bootflag related to USB is set. The reason could indeed be a physical problem with the usb port of the device. Also it could be related to dirty contacts (both of the UB port and the battery).
I’m having the exact same problem with my S730. Only works with the headphones plugged. I can’t hear nor talk if unplugged the headphones. Does anyone knows how to fix this ???
Hi People
I think I have really bricked my Diamond for sure. I have read all the threads related to this problem and have tried all the possible fixes but to no avail.
Here is the problem: It is stuck on the first screen after tri colour screen showing the RGD info in red ink at the bottom right cornor. Pc wont recognize it and Active Sync 4.5 on xp is grey, not green.
I have done a few Hard resets and Soft resets. I have Olinex Hard Spl installed. Had Dutty's 1.6 working perfectly when decided to cook my own with Surface Kitchen. My first cooked rom worked fine and then I cooked another one with same base Stock rom , adding som programs and bam, this thing happened.
Please Help Help and yes I had flashed the same Diamond with every available cooked rom with no problem.
Thanks in advance. Lets not Die this beautiful Jewel.
Anyone please?

Can you get it into bootloader mode??? If so, you should be fine to re-flash at that point.
I can get it to tri colour screen but it wont sync with pc ...?

So after getting to the tri-color screen and then plugging in the USB cable, you do not get "USB" at the bottom of the screen?????
Thanks for the quick reply..
Ok here is what I am doing. I perform the hard reset. Get the tri colour screen for couple of seconds and then it comes to the screen where it asks to press Volup to restore. I did it with the usb connected and usb disconnected but it wont sync. Active sync icon at the bottom on pc stays grey not green.
Pressing Volup on diamond restores, reboots and brings it back to 1st splash screen with RGD info at the bottom in red ink. aaaaah
When you are in bootscreen, connect via usb.
In the bottom off your screen you should see "usb"!
If this is what you see then flash one of the stock roms again.
After you've done this, your Diamond restarts and everything should be OK again!
Good luck!
Ok, do this:
1. Unplug the USB cable from the phone.
2. Hold down the Volume-down key and the Power button, then press (and let go of) the RESET button with your stylus.
3. When the tri-color screen appears, you can let go of the buttons.
4. The screen should say "Serial" at the bottom (in the gray color area).
5. Plug in the USB cable (The screen should change to "USB").
6. Run the RUU app to re-flash the phone.
That should get you back up and running.
To enter bootloader, turn phone off then press volume down and reset simultaneously and then power ono. If you have done this correctly it will remain there and the word "serial" appears at the bottom. Then plug in USB and the word changes to "USB" you can now flash ROM
When I flashed mine it also got stuck te first time because Windows found it necessary to install new USB driver when the Flash util wanted to connect to the HTC. The flash program jumped out leaving the diamond with the RGB screen...
But, after windows installed the new USB driver, I restarted the flash program and it finished just fine.
So if you cannot connect anymore I would try to find out if the USB driver has changed. Did you try connecting to another USB port?
Otherwise I would try to connect to another PC...
Hope it helps,
Beamer
fingers crossed
hope you unbricked it m8
@tararura
Be sure to come back and update the thread if you were successful. It may help others later if they search instead of starting another thread with a similar problem.
Holy smokes......
Its breathing again. Thank you TomInMB and Windoze9t8. Give yourselves a kiss for helping me out.
I used Windoze9t8's method and it came to the serial screen and then I flashed it with Dutty's.
So I was using hard reset method to get to bootloader screen, which was wrong.
So for everyone else, its Voldown and reset button at the same time for Bootloader screen.
Flashing is done and Active Sync recognized the Diamond.
Thanks again for everyone..... and I am sure that a few of us learnt the new trick from this thread.....
Glad to hear you're all set!!!! I sure would hate to have the feeling that my precious diamond was useless!!!!
Thats right , I already lost a lots of sleep trying to fix it last night..
Hi
I was trying out some of the samsung today plugins when my device froze(if i touched the screen or the hardware buttons it would still make a noise). I reset my diamond, it started up I then put my password in clicked unlock and now my diamond wont boot past the windows green splash screen. If I push the power button off then on again I end up in the same situation as before(if i touched the screen or the hardware buttons it would still make a noise and the wheel would light up).
Can someone please help me to fix this problem. I hope there is another way than a hard reset as I would not like to lose my programs and data on the 4gb memory.
Thank You
Can anyone help?
just found something else. when my diamond wont go any further and I plug it into my pc it comes up as mass storage. Ive tried pressing the touch screen to try get it into active sync but it will not work. I also discovered if i hold down the power button to turn the diamond off the warning box comes up. This is getting very weird. Is there a way to make the phone go into active sync mode?
From previous experience if it won't go past the boot screen and a soft reset hasn't helped it will be a hard reset. The good news is that all information on the internal storage drive will be safe and not removed.
Good Luck
htc tytn 2 with duttys rom r165 16 25 and 3.5 duttys
it works very good but nowww after i opened wifi it closed it self and resets it always and i couldnt hard reset it it doesnt accept could youu helppp
.....shut off your phone and enter the bootloader mode. connect your phone to your pc with a USB cable. When it says 'USB' in the little white area at the bottom of the screen flash another ROM like you normally would. You can also do a system restore by holding down your two 'blank buttons' and pressing the soft-reset button at the same time
