recently my signal strength and carrier icon have come up half missing. The right half of the signal icon is missing as is the volume icon. I can still click the spot where the volume icon is and adjust the volume , but it doesn't show anymore. This is using the big storage rom on a tilt.

on traybar right? i have the same question, but no one can answer...
I would like to know that too. Right now the only thing that i know to find if the headset is connected is to open the dial pad and see the headset icon on top right of the dial pad.
Well...howzabout the blue light that blinks? If it's blinking and your headset is on, you're prolly connected.
lol. Blue light = Blue Tooth.
Plus saves screen space.

Anybody ever heard of the ring volume dropping itself to the bottom of the slider?
I keep missing calls and texts because the ring volume has turned itself off
the radio button is set to 'on' so i slide the volume up to full, then click on the speaker icon to close that box. Open it up straight away and the slider is back at the bottom!
There are other people with the same problem, it has a topic right here: volume drop.
I always adjust my volume with the 2 sliders, because I've also missed several calls when using the profile-buttons.
I had the same problem. I discovered that if I tap on the speaker part of the icon located at the top in the title bar, it would set my volume to 0. If I tap on the noise part (the 3 lines to the right of the speaker icon) it would return to the normal volume. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

fantastic, thanks.
I checked my sound & notification settings and they seemed to be set to not ring - very odd.
i'll check that thread out though
Is anyone aware of a way to change the system volume increments when using the up/down keys on the phone or E100 remote?
The volume can be adjusted more finely with the touch screen, but this means taking the phone out and fiddling around a bit. Some are finding the lowest volume you can get with hardware buttons a tad too loud with noise canceling phones that sit in the ear canal.
Thanks
Would be VERY usefull....
I too am wondering that. I looked in the tweaks section and searched around but no concrete answer for it.
This would actually be very usefull!!!
Don't sweat it Guys.
Both default volume bubble and HTC Volume Control controls the volume in following increments: Vibrate>Silent>20>40>60>80>100. There's no other way to fine tune it.
Maybe the HTC Volume Control UI is a bit misleading, but if you tap with the stylus, you'll see and hear that every procent has 3 corresponding lines.
If you tap it, you can get it in 1 line increments, this is not a misleading UI, it adjusts the volume in 1 step increments. You may not be able to notice it with the phones speaker but you sure can with earphones.

Exactly.
If You listen to music 3bars is often too loud but 1 or 2 is perfect. So a solution for this would be very helpfull.

Also looking for a solution to this problem...
I have a touch pro2 and as you describe here the system volume can be changed 1 bar at a time with finger.
But it can also be changed 1 bar at a time pressing the volume buttons (or volume buttons on headset) IF the screen is turned OFF. If the screen is ON the buttons will move it 3 bars.
If the phone is locked then it does not matter if the screen is OFF, it will still move it 3 bars at a time. So right now I never use the lock on the phone as I need the 1 bar step size when listening to music with my headset.
Hi:
I am brand new to the Captivate and loving it.
I do have an odd glitch every now and then.
When I am on a call using speakerphone, sometimes the phone seems to lockup, the call stays connected, but the screen becomes unresponsive. After it recovers, the speakerphone icon stays on, even after the call is hung up.
In order to get it to turn off, I have to reset the phone.
Any ideas why this is happening, and how I can get it to stop?
Thanks!
Where is the speakerphone icon? I use speakerphone a lot and I've never had any long lasting icons appear. My captivate is 2 months old now and from what I can tell, yours is newer. It might just be a bug in newer devices.
Hi:
When it gets stuck, the normal speakerphon icon in the notification bar (where I pointed the arrow to) stays on.
Also, I sometimes have that little blue icon when I place a call (circled in purple).
This icon looks like the oned in NOled, but it appears there even if I uninsatll NoLED.
Thanks so much!
PS: The first screenshot is a screenshot of phone getting stuck, but with no speakerphone on. Please forgive the horrible paint job lol.
The second and third are after the phone unhangs with speakerphone on(which happens quickly, about 30-45 seconds). You can see the speakerphone icon stays on. Phone has to be reset in order for the icon to go away.
My S21 Ultra running AUAC firmware.
Stock phone app.
The problem I got when using DND is only the sound on incoming call but no answer/reject screen shown. Even unlock the screen, only phone notification icon in the status bar and need to pull down and find the phone to answer from there.
