I am having a problem connecting to my XM Online account via xmstream and musicdock. I log into my account, and the channel's page loads, it switches to Windows Media. It will then say Buffering....Connecting and then after a few seconds it will Paused. After that nothing happens. I have no clue what is going on here. I have searched both the forum search tools and the Google search and nothing has come up. I am running Alex's 1.62 ATT Home ROM.
Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
Quick update: This only happens when I am connected via GRRS. If I connect via WiFi no problem, it plays fine. I have tried disabling and reenabling the proxy which doesn't work.
Thanks.

I am having a strange problem, I have an ATT Tilt but I flashed it with Alex's Home ROM. Before the flash everything was working fine. After the flash almost everything works, but for some reason the GMAIL application won't connect, and when I try to download an MP3 to save on phone as ringtone it doesnt do anything. Same problem when trying to log on to wachovia.com/mobile with PIE, it looks like it tries to go but just stops and goes no where. I have tried connecting through both wlan and medianet with same results. Eveything else works fine, I can browse other web sites through IE and opera mini (and on opera i can logon to wachovia moble), other java and non-java apps (like live search and google maps) are able to connect fine. I have searched through forum a lot and tried everything I have found in all connection problem threads, and checked every setting. Does anyone have any ideas please??
Thanks so much for any help.
I'm currently using a TyTn II in Canada, with Rogers internet.com settings.
Now everything was working fine (browsing, IM, push email, etc) up to 2 days ago. Now when I run Internet explorer or Opera, it only loads google and nothing else. It's stuck on rendering/even loading the page. Yet, push email, palringo, weather all still work. Any idea's as what it could be?
I know it's not a proxy problem as I have it disabled, I've tried hard resetting, new radio, different SPL, different rom, everything, checked older threads and still nothing found.
Please help! (Also, Windows Live Messenger doesn't work either). Thanks

No idea, it could be your network settings but I don't run Canadian network. Please tell us your connection settings maybe someone can assist you further.
connection settings are:
GPRS, 3G
apn: internet.com
user:wapuser1
pass:wap
everything else disabled.
Could it possibly be server side related and that I need to call in to get my connection flushed/reset? Is this even possible to do?
Please help!
I have the same issue. I was told by Rogers in Canada that over the last number of months they have been putting in blocks to lock out unlocked phones (if this is true that sucks).
It is not the Web Browser because I can connect via WIFI.
Phone - AT&T 8925 (Tilt) Unlocked on Rogers in Canada
ROM - 1.62.502.0
No other programs are affected.
Problem - When accessing the Web via cell network all web pages load doing this. After you hit enter it says (bottom bar) Locating... Opening... than a pop up window says "The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again." Connection is still active and was never lost. If I disconnect and reconnect same issue.
It has worked for over 5 months and then it just stopped. I have talked with Rogers Tech Support and they say all the settings are correct and they believe it might be the antenna in the phone.
Any Ideas or direction would be helpful!
It is caused by a proxy setting that comes with the AT&T software. It sets something by default in the registry. To fix this go to, Start->Programs->Tools->Proxy Manager and click on 'Disable Proxy'. This should fix that little annoyance and enable users to use the internet without any problems.
Hope that helped a bit.
Cheers!

Anytime I have connection issues on any of my phones (Pro or Standard) I just re-install this CAB. It usually works. Give it a try.
(This is for Rogers Wireless Only)

I know this has been discussed before but I cannot find a solution that works for me. I accidently erased my connection settings. In doing so, I lost ability to surf the web. I went to an AT&T store and they input some settings that got me back on IE. But then I noticed a problem when trying to send/recieve e-mail. It will not send and recieve unless I am connected to my computer via USB or WiFi.
I found a thread that shows how to reinput the At&T ISP and MediaNet info in the settings/connections menu. I tried that. Went into manage existing connections, held on the connection and clicked connect. Still doesn't work. I tried downloading and installing the Cingular PDA Media Net settings that I also found in the other thread and still doesn't work.
So I was gonna try to reflash the phone, but then I saw that people were having this same problem after a reflash and didn't havethe problem before. So I wanna try everything possible before I do that.
Another thing I noticed that is when trying to sync my contacts to my PC, Active Sync tells me outlook is not installed on my device. WTF? This never happend before either! Thanks!
After about 2hours of using my phone on wifi the exchange sync (built in mail application) doesn't sync anymore (internet itself keeps working). If I then disable en enable wifi, it works again.
I connect to exchange via https (outlook anywhere). Same goes for calendar.
btw, my GMAIL keeps working with no problem. It's just exchange that stops syncing
have you tried restarting the phone?
might be a service that got stuck
yep, doesn't fix it.
I'm gonna test TouchDown to see if it shows the same behaviour
Are you accessing Exchange via "Email for Exchange" or "Corporate"?
what do you mean?
I've made an account on my phone that connects to the 'webmail' of the exchange. Official name is Outlook Anywhere.
noob with similar issue
I'm a relative newbie to this forum so unsure of posting protocol, apologies in advance.
But whatever. I have the att version of the galaxy--the captivate--and have had a hard time getting exchange to work reliably. I've several times deleted and re-created my exchange account, and it will sync initially, and sometimes once or twice thereafter. But then, it ceases working competely, simply saying it has a "connection error".
This happens whether I'm on my company's wi-fi, home wi-fi, or just over the air 3G. the only fix is to recreate the account, and that's a pain.
I had an old winmo HTC fuze for a couple years, and it worked fine with this exchange server--I don't think I ever had to recreate the account, and it was thoroughly reliable. I also borrowed an old G1 for a couple weeks, used Roadsync, and it worked fine too.
I read in another forum that advanced task killer was the culprit, so I deinstalled it. No change. I also read that turning the synchronization on & off from the power widget was worth trying. Also no change.
Any other ideas? I too will try a 3rd party client before returning the phone. I mostly like the phone otherwise, though the GPS problem is annoying.
Appreciate any help.
Tried it with Touchdown: same issue. It tells me: No available network. However website continue to work...
When I click some links/visit some sites, it starts working again...

it sounds like the Wireless or 3G goes into sleep mode when you are not using it.
I have a similar problem, my calendar is able to sync but contacts unable to sync with exchange server.
Last night, I found my TouchPad sitting under a pile of papers in my office after a few months of wondering where it was and charged it on the dock. Before this long gap of not using it, it had been working perfectly fine - internet browsing, apps, etc... and the internet definitely worked.
After turning it on, it will connect to my WiFi network without a problem, but when I go to open up a web browser page, it says: "Error: No Internet connection." I also can't get it to load stories in the USA Today app and it won't check email in the email app.
I tried enabling/disabling Airplane Mode and then reset the WiFi settings (gave it a new IP address under the WiFi Preferences menu, like this HP forum post says to do), but it still doesn't want to let me go to websites or anything.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

As you say that you haven't used it for a while I'm wondering if you updated the root certificate.
If you didn't here are instructions on how to :

It won't even let me go into the App Catalog to download the update, actually. When I try to, it says: "You must connect to a network to use this application." After I click "Retry," there is a brief moment where it flashes a screen asking me what country I'm in before it goes right back to the screen telling me to connect to a network.
I don't think this is an issue with my router, since all of my family's phones (a Galaxy Nexus, a Galaxy S3, and two iPhones), two laptops, and a Kindle are all using the network with no problems at all. It seems to me like it must be an internal problem with the way my Touchpad is interacting with the network.
Thanks for the suggestion though! That could be another issue I'll have to fix too (since I don't remember downloading an update to fix that problem, which I hadn't heard about before, though I think I've probably used my Touchpad at some point since July 2013).
