SOLVED: Hold power then plug USB cable. Suddenly my AT&T was detected by activesync, then I run ALL cool STUFF: HardSPL, SuperCID, and of course... SPANISH thanks XDA-Dev!!!!
Hello!!
Have a STRANGE, WEIRD issue:
A AT&T Tilt comes to me, user wants to switch Spanish language (its haves original AT&T rom).. So, bcoz theres not AT&T Tilt spanish rom (well, ive searched it but no luck) i was trying to flash it.
Plug the phone to USB. Ummm.. weird. phone is reporting "Charging" but activesync wont detect anything. So ive tried bootloader mode, but no luck. It says SERIAL text and not USB text...
who can help me???

Ok, I posted a thread on the main wizard forum and I'm trying again here since this is a little more on topic in this forum.
Here goes with all the technical specifics I can add in.
I recently got an HTC 8125 (I've had one before and never had this problem)
I immediately CID and SIM unlocked the phone using lokiwiz's unlocking program.
I inserted my tmobile sim into the cingular 8125 and all was great.
I upgraded the ROM to the TNT 19199 batch of WM6.1 Everything is still great.
The phone worked awesome, the next day I downloaded the T-Mobile UK radio version 2.19.11.
I flashed it to the phone and everything seemed fine, the program finished and the phone restarted.
Upon restart I was greeted with a no service message and the phone behaves as though it is shutoff. No big deal, right? WRONG...
I went to the tmobile and cingular site and got the default roms from each just in case.
I then connected the phone to the usb and activesync would not recognize the phone, or do anything for that matter.
I used an external USB bluetooth dongle to try and connect the phone to the PC to flash the default rom and fix the radio problem, this wouldn't work either.
I then put the phone into bootloader mode, this works ok, I see the USB in the corner and figure I'm saved. Nope.
I ALWAYS get an Error Connecting from the rom software. Even though my PC recognizes the phone, active sync does not. I re-installed Activesync and rebooted my computer numerous times. To no avail.
The ONLY rom software I which has worked is the TNT 19199 but it doesn't fix the lack of radio.
Here are some other points of interest. On phone bootup I get this:
IPL 1.08
SPL 1.08
<----Notice, NOTHING in the GSM spot.
OS 1.11.1.0.1 (or whatever the numbers are for that particular rom)
The USB will recognize the phone ONLY in bootloader mode, otherwise when the phone is on the Today screen I get no recognition.
The TNT rom has worked twice when I tried it, (by worked I mean it allowed me to re-flash the same rom) Of course the TNT rom doesn't work all the time, it has given me several connection errors.
No other rom has worked as of yet, all others give me a connection error.
The battery meter will not display, nor will it tell me what type of battery or how much charge is left.
The phone will sometimes go to amber light when plugged into the wall charger but NEVER with the usb to PC cable.
I can still navigate around the windows mobile 6.1 interface though it moves incredibly SLOW. i.e. I pushed the comm manager button to make sure the phone didn't simply get shutoff and I waited about a minute and a half or longer for it to bring up the comm manager.
I need some severely good advice and some new tricks to try, I'm running out of ideas, I saw several threads under the HTC TyTn threads about similar problems and something about the IPL/SPL being important but I'm not sure what they're talking about. I have searched this forum and I have found people talking about similar problems, all the responses point to, "If you can get to the bootloader you're fine." This is incorrect.
So seriously, help me out here.
HOW DO I FIX MY STINKIN' PHONE.
I would suggest rolling back to your working configuraton by reflashing using a memory card instead of the USB.
fixed.
Actually I finally figured it out.
It seemed the reason that those roms worked sometimes but not others was this: To get the phone to recognize you had to do things in a VERY specific sequence.
You had to let the phone boot all the way into WM6 and then plug in the usb cable. Then put it into bootloader with the camera / soft reset button method. Then you waited for the nice USB connect sound, and began the ROM flash RUU program. (In this case it was the T-Mobile default rom).
Once that was done the phone acts as normal and everything is good.
Doing anything out of order or putting the phone into bootloader without it having first booted all the way to the OS would give you the connect error.
Please clarify if you're running WM6 with IPL/SPL 1.xx? I believe that's not possible to get good results that way.
IPL 1.08
SPL 1.08
<----Notice, NOTHING in the GSM spot.
OS 1.11.1.0.1 (or whatever the numbers are for that particular rom)
TNT 19199 batch of WM6.1
Wm6.1 on ipl/spl 1.xx,strange ,how do you explain this, how did you manage to get wm6 installed with ipl/spl 1.xx,cuz it only works on ipl/spl 2.xx and higher. Are you sure its TNT 19199 series wm6.1 Rom ?
hi guys
first of all sorry for this subject name but im really pissed off, so pissed i could kill sum1 seriously...
i bought this friggin ppc like 2 years soon, and of all that 2 years i've been using it for half a year in total...
first problem was lcd missaligned, than soon started USB problems..
managed to repair LCD (changed it completely) but now the USB problem remains and im friggin tired dead of all this mess... i don't have a clue what to do anymore..
so, cignular 8125, G3 series... molski 2.26.10.2 AKU 2.3 rom on it...
problems now:
it boots up after 2-3 minutes..
than the worst problem is that USB cant sync with pc...
i tried plugging in motherboard usb on pc,. than tried to get even a 2nd PCI usb card and always the same problem..
when i connect pc via usb cable to ppc, i see ballon saying: usb found, generic rndis, PocketPC mobile based bla bla bla and after few secs i get usb hardware might not work properly, error ocured.. and that happens all the time, i even get sometimes on PPC a screen saying USB> connecting to host (cancel, hide) and it freezes there...
so, after this mess i send ppc to a service guy that changed me the USB plug on ppc (as u guys said it could solve the problem http://tinyurl.com/3xvj4m )
so he changed it and im stuck again on this friggin ppc...
goddamn %&/()= i wish i was never so stupid to buy this piece of machinery, after only half a year it bricked down and now i'm only loosing my mind...
anyway... can anyone make this for me http://tinyurl.com/2ku6lw copy his rom on sd card and send me that copy of sd card over mail or put it on ftp?
Any other thing doesnt help me, even in bootload mode it says USB in left corner on ppc, but again pc says usb not recognized and again it wont get connected (so no RUU update)...
guys, im seriously desperate....
btw, anyone knows sum1 in eastern or central europe a person or service capable to fix this....? the ppc i got it from usa, but im in eastern europe..
thanks and i hope u will understand my nervouse..
did u allready try to connect with other pcs?
i had problems like this when
1.) i do not switch off internal firewall, ashampoo, didn't have this problem with sygate personal
2.) i had software installed, called PLV - Manager , has something to do with my work..^^, which connects via Serial port and somehow does also block usb ports.
well yea i tried other pcs, but maybe the firewall is the key and some other programs... i'll see this weekend... any1 suggestion for a service guy who can manage to repair the ppc in case i fail?
thx
Hello,
Firstly I want excuse that I open new threat and open it here, but please let me explain it why I do it.
I have O2 Stellar, with SPL:1.82.0000 and my USB dont work, and USB connector is OK and cable or USB port too. I try it at diferent PCs with diferent systems aka XP, Vista.
Main problem is that USB dont sync with ActiveSync or other, no "Tada sound" dont show "not recognize" really nothing action when I plug it to USB.
And charging is work only when PDA is off and light RED LIGHT but when is off, than no action, no light, no charging.
I know that this is threat for "Kaiser General" but I can live with charging only when is off, but I cant live withou coocked ROMs, I really try use all HardSPL new Radios, NBH from shippedroms copy to SDcard (Formatted to FAT32) and it only show "LOADING..." but nothing, more, still Loading.
I was tryed JumpSPL but it dont flash from SDcard, and USB is not showing and not working, that I cant use MTTY.
Please let this threat open, I really need HELP
Do someone know if this is Hardware or Sofware problem?
I cant send it to service, from my country is too expensive (like new phone)
Thank you in advance
Jozef Ziak
Edit: The handsfree is working perfect, I really dont know what is it.
i have the same problem i been through three phones already 1 that i used roms on and two brand new ones from warranty att said it's a hardware issue".they are sending me another phone.
I had almost a similar problem with my tilt at one point. Check your usb to pc settings and make sure you have "advance connection" (or something similar I can't remember exactly what it says) checked. On the rom I am using now shows something different there. I says "enable faster data sync" "uncheck if activesync doesn't recognize the device"
Thank you, but nothing reconize my PDA, no sound after plug, nothing when I go manualy to Bootloader, only show serial, not USB
same problem
Hi,
I had the same problem. I tried everything but nothing helped. I had 2 more months of warranty so they changed the main panel. After I got it back from the service it was working for 3 weeks long and now again died with the same issue.
Strange. I have to send it back to the service.
HI there , I had the same problem for about 4 month but i solved it >>> how ?
Just clean your htc USB port and check if it is broken or not and you will see that your issue will be solved brother
I'm a noob, sorry if I'm asking something stupid.
I've got a tytn ii, UK version (vodafone) Flashed a while back to vodafone WM6.1 on it.
I had no active sync usb connection on several PCs.
Did a hard reset.
Still no USB connection.
On bootload screen, it says:
KAIS130
SPL-3.28.0000
CPLD-8
Serial - Doesn't change to USB if I try and connect to PC.
I put jump-SPL in and get this screen
KAIS130
SPL-1.56.Jump
CPLD-8
No Serial or USB - just a blank white bit (no SD or SIM card in the phone and cable is plugged in, no hubs)
I see allsorts on the forum about force-usb roms, but they all seem to need a HardSPL, which I don't think I have on this phone.
Is there anything I can do to fix this and put a decent ROM on here?

I don't think you can flash hard spl from an SD card, so you may have a large issue. On another note, you may have a broken USB port. If that is the case, you want to try and buy a "3in1 adapter" for your phone. The USB port of this phone has connections on the top and bottom of the center plastic part, and a normal USB plug does not support the bottom of this part. So if yours is broken the usb cable may not be connection to that middle part all the way. The 3in1 will support the bottom and hopefully charge and connect the phone.
Here is a pic of what it looks like:

No it's not bricked. As long as your phone still breathes life you can get it back up pretty much. However, yes you need HardSPL. That should be the 1st thing you do. Now that you have it you're golden and good to go. You need to read ... and re-read .. then read again ALL the stickies from the rom development section. Your problem is covered in it multiple times.
And as stylez will no doubt say in a minute, you should post in the correct section as your post is not about rom development.
Thanks for your replies.
stuntdouble, does the 3.29 mean it's already got hardSPL on it?
When I connect USB, it charges, no problem, just won't connect with Activesync. Could this mean anything else? Is there any other way to test if the USB port is screwed on other pins?
Oh, and sorry to put in the wrong forum, which should I go for with a question like this?
Moved as not ROM Development..

Sounds like it's hardspl'd yes. If it won't connect via usb normally, you need to force it. Again ... read the stickies buddy. Any problem you get, I can guarantee you that other people have had before, and will be in the FAQ's + Stickys. I'll even help you on your way. Good luck. Link here:

Hi all! I've bought an HTC AT&T Tilt recently but it really turned out to be not so good of a deal. First of all if the phone is turned on the USB just doesn't work. I mean no charging, no connection to PC etc. If it's off it charges normally. At first i thought that it's a hardware issue and I just gave away money for nothing. After I started playing with it I noticed a few things. I ran Android through Haret and the USB works magnificently. Charging, connectivity and so on. When I switch to WinMo - bump. I tried 3 different comps and 4 different cables but still nothing. Read some threads here and there but as far as I could tell I still need USB connection to flash the device. So no HardSPL as far as I know. The USB port on the device is in perfect condition(at least to my knowledge). I cant's even use the phone because it's AT&T network locked and to unlock it I would still need USB connectivity! If anyone has an idea how I can flash completely via MicroSD or anything else I'd be really thankful. Thanks in advance!
I forgot to write current sw versions:
R 1.65.21.18
G 25.88.40.05h
D 3.57.00.00
And at bootloader:
KAIS1*0
SPL-3.56.0000
CPLD-8
