Update rom helpp, no solution i have seen :(

Hey ive been lookin on this site for a long time and have been trying to update my rom for my wizard for at least 3 days. I really need your guys help. I have a mac and a pc and my pc is runnin xp and im runnin AS on my mac under virtual pc with windows xp pro. When i try to install AS on my pc i get an error saying windows installer cannot me accessed and i cant get it to install no matter what i do. So now ive been focused on the mac. I got it installed on my mac an runnin but i got another problem. When i usb my wizard it will not recognize it unless i run usbswitch which is not a big deal till i try to update the rom. I get through the unlocker but when i get to the rom itself it tuns the wizard off an on then gets the red, blue etc screen but does not recognize the wizard is hooked up usb i guess cause usbswitch is not runnin. so my problm is what do i do to fix this delma. Maybe this has already been adressed but i havent been able to find it on this forum yet so i apologize if it was already posted. I tried updating to 4.2 beta for AS but it did nothing. I appreciate any help. Thank you.
ps. i have a tmobile mda runnin out of the box roms, so i guess its 1.8 or sumthin, maybe 1.2 i dunno w/e it is

Can't upgrade ROM with Windows Vista RC1

HI to all, i'm a newbie here and this is my first time to write and ask for help here. I been read the entire forum to get all info about the wizard phone and i really like this forum here. Give me alot of info about my phone, so i hope all people here can read first before ask question.
After a long search here, i still can't find my answer so i hope someone can help me. I just install the windows vista rc1 and hack the windows mobile based device working for it and i can sync everything and install software to mobile but when i try to upgrade my rom it won't work??? it say usb not connected but its connected at all. Anyone have any idea my happen here?
Hope someone can help me out, and i really appreciate.

If you use RegEdit to add a key called "WHOS" under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft key in the registry, connect your Windows Mobile 5.0 device and go to Windows Update, a new 7.0MB update will be available that enables Windows Mobile Device Center. This should let you do the update.

I done it already, like im say i can run the windows mobile based device with no problem for sync with my phone but when i try to upgrade the rom, the rom program will say error no usb connection. hope this will make it clear. thanks for ur help.

nope,works fine with me. i have asus p4pe-deluxe MB with usb 2.0 and a usb cable from canon.
my only problem is i dnt have license key,so m only on 14 days trial

hi there, i tried upgrading my 02 xda executive from the software update on O2 website.my active sync 4.1 stopped working in midst and my xda is nt working now.and my pc isnt recognising the xda. the xda isnt starting up its completely dead.I tried hitting the 2 softkeys and the soft reset button and the screen lights up and it says to rollback to factory setting hit 0 zero, but nothing happens................plz help would be appreciated.http://www.my-xda.com/xdaExecSoftware.jsp
also the screen now has USB and v1.00 over it and shows nothing but this and not starting up and my pc pops a message up saying that an unknown usb device and cant be connected

at buddy28, try to reflash it with atleast latest AKU 2.* for universal,just click ur softreset button so that the bootloader will appear again then flash with new rom(be careful though if ur not PRO)

For ArtTX, im now using the Asus Barebone T2-p computer and i have try with another computer with windows vista rc1, it also don't working. It is possible because i'm using vista rc1 not vista beta2?

I'm using Vista RC1 and I cant flash my Wizard too

hmmm.... seem like all the rom upgrade doesn't support vista RC1....thats too bad. Oh well have to switch back to windows xp.

hello everyone,
i have a little problem and hope you can help me with this. Yesterday i flashed my wizard with the underground edition. everything worked fine in the process, i did the CID-Unlocking as well. After rebooting,the screen appeared and i was happy. Then i realized that the radio didnt work and my usb-interface (charching and sync) is disabled. So i can not flash my deviceagain, it even does not charge the battery. now the battery is empty and i have to find a method to fill the batt up, to get into my device. if so, can anybody help me with a hint how to reactivad my usb interface?

The USB Port of my device is also defective, and i am using an external charger to charge the battery.You can get an external charger and can put your battery in it to charge.
However i am unable to use Activesyn and flash my mobile.
Can i flash my phone with a bluetooth connection?

with any update Utility u going to find EnterBootLoader.exe with it
send EnterBootLoader to your mobile and run it
connect your usb and flash your new rom

Are you using Vista? I had the same problem after my first flash. You need to update the Driver. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338473 Follow to update Vista drivers.

i got a XDA 2 I otherwise known as ,PH10A its not turning on so i cant install rom on phone.taken cmos battery out stil no joy,,please can anyone help me out i put it in the crradle and it does charge up.and on the screen it says USB V 1.02 and thats all and wont do nothing else ..pc wont reconise the phone..i badly need help anyone got any ideas ..

The bootloader message USB V 1.02 does mean that it is in healthy bootloader mode and that it does find a healthy USB connection as well. Activesync will not be able to communicate with it the way it would do if Windows Mobile would have been loaded on your XDA. But the normal ROM flash utilities should be able to access it. Be sure to use ActiveSync version 4.5 to flash WM6, be sure to use a PC running Windows XP, not Vista, be sure to read flashing instructions very carefully, print them and keep them handy during the flashing process. Flashing can take over 30 minutes, be patient!

Hi Maggie. Phone Is In The Cradle I Got Active Sync 4.5 And Running It On Xp.it Dosnt Detect The Phone At All.on The Phones Screeen Its Says Usb V1.02 As Iv Mentioned Befor.cant Seem To Flash The Phone ..but It Does Charge Up In The Cradle.but Nothing Else Can U Suggest Anything Else ....thanx

They come with the HimaUpgradeNoID utility to flash the ROM, it's built into the Tofclock .exe

HTC TYTN II - How to recover from bad flash.

Greetings everyone,
I would like to ask for some advice.
I bought a HTC TYTN II and wanted to flash it to a ROM I found on the forum.
But to do that I had to use nueSPL-2.47.exe
That turned out to be a mistake as at the moment it started formatting to FAT32 the screen freezed. And I waited for around 15min. But nothing happend.
Now needless to say the device does not function. I tried a hard reset(Camera+Power+Reset) and just (Reset). But all I get is a screen darker than the pits off hell.
I am able to get the power light burning but that is it. Already tried putting the battery out and in again. But all to no avail. Maybe one of you can help me?

Confused "Tytn" with "Titan", too bad.. That's already happened, if you search for "nuespl" in the Kaiser forum you should find a thread about someone else who had the same problem recently.

uh oh... what was your radio version? does the PC still try to load a driver when you connect the phone?

Wrong firmware now that explains things.
It seems that the soft/hard reset and boot loader are not working for me. All I ever get is the power light and no screen at all.
Just my luck.
My phone was a 3G version.
When I connect it via USB it does try and load drivers but it does not find the correct drivers. While the phone was ok the drivers were fine.
Strange.

I sure hope I do not have to send it to my supplier. Because the phone is just 2 weeks old ;-)

3G, okay, all of them are 3G... do you remember exact radio version. no problem if not, though.

Sorry I do not know the exact number.
I was able to install the drivers. So thanks for that.
But If I try and get onto my phone I have no folders. And active sync does not see the device. Maybe I need to use a program like artemis to get files on there?

There is of course a change I might be able to get files on there by putting my SD card in a card reader.
But does it boot from there?
Pocket controller-pro did not work for me.

that will not help, but there is another way... PM me, as it needs interactive step by step instructions.

im having the same issue i just ran the neuspl 2.47 and my htc tilt wont work the power light comes on and thats it can somepone please help me out i am in need of help badly!
