I think I am in trouble... - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

Hey all,
I just tried flashing ivans just to clean with the sd card. And well, I think it got hung for a long time. So i pulled out the battery. Now the device will not boot up. I cant even get the bootloader to come up. Sorry if I seem like I am panicking a little. But i am haha. So if I have finally ****ed up my phone for good, can someone tell me what I should do or if there is still some way I can fix this problem.
Thanks You, Any help is greatly appreciated.

btw, the led doesnt even come up when i plug it in to the charger
my dads ganna kill me.. lol

Sorry guys...false alarm haha

Don't tell me you forgot to put the battery back in...

uh no, i think im still in a great deal of trouble. I was able to get into the bootloader but everytime i try the ruu, my phone powers off after 1 percent....anything guys?
btw...i have hard spl

What error message does the ruu give? You are attempting to flash the tmobile rom correct?

Try flashing again through the SD card. It "hangs" for a while. It's supposed to.
If you're using the stock tmobile one, you have to remove the SPL.nb if you have it HardSPL'ed.

Help wanted

Im a bit of a newbie to this but i know a thing or two and im not daft! My mda vario crashed so i redid the rom and it crashed half way through taking me to boot mode.
I took maybe 30attempts at reloading the rom as everytime i did it crashed half way through! Eventually i got a fresh mda offical rom on to it and it started first time but then crashed the second time i turned it on.now once in a while it starts properly but will crash for no reason all the time! Ive tried reflashing the rom again and im stuck at boot mode once again!
Ive taken the advice of many of your post's
Ive tried new wires, differnt roms, firewalls off, internet off, active sync on,active sync uninstalled everything and still it wont upload the full rom.
Im a bit lost and this is my final attempt as ive spent too many hours messing around. by the way its a G3.
ANY ADVICE is so so so welcome as im about to never own a pocket pc style phone again. thanks alot anyone who reads all this and anyone that can help!
Do you have an SD card in it? If you do, try taking it out because it can cause problems sometimes when flashing. If your Sd card has problems it may be why you keep crashing when you do get a ROM on there also. I've read that taking the sim card out may also help.
I took the sd card out,and yeh it did seem there was little or no difference when a simcard was in or out. At present its stuck on boot menu again and im wondering what is the best rom to try? im pretty sure the phone is completely unlocked as it had wm6 on it when i got it. thanks again

Hum... by having WM6 is doesn't really mean its unlocked... they could have flashed it using ShellTools.
As I understood it, even if you flash an official ROM, the PDA doesn't work properly, hanging right?
If so, I'm afraid your Wizard might be dying - faulty ROM memory...

HELP! :( Have I bricked my NEW! Kasier (HTC TYTNII)

just baught it, it worked fine.. then i tried to install HARD SPL, my computer froze and restarted.. i tried to do it again.. did the same..
so then i tredi to install a rom ( probs a stupid idea).. it loaded up to 100% then told me the rom was corrupt! and it refused to get out of the triband bootloader screen!.. i tried to hardreset it.. stayed in bootloader screen.. tried doing hardSPL again.. gave me erros, and asked me to do a recovery.. didn;t work.. tried to re-flash the rom.. no luck..
then i tried mtty, followed the commands given.. this time it reset and got to the roms loading screen.. but doe snot load past there..
now.. it wont detect USB wont load... nothing.. hard reset doesn;t work..
wheni connect usb cable it comes up with an orange light..
PLEASE !HELP!!!! :'( :'(
What OS are you running?
I had to use XP to unlock my phone. If all else fails, you should have a 1 year manufactures warranty on the phone. Just call them and say this thing 'just stopped working' and cross your fingers.
running xp.. the warranty it void... if anyone has any idea.. PLEASE HELP!! :'(

You are first going to have to determine if your phone is truly unlocked.
I am not sure that you phone is bricked. But it does sound like you are going to have to be creative to undo what you have done. If you are able I would suggest flashing hardSPL via SD. Please go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835
ok i'll try this now.. can someone tell me what i need to do after this if it fails??? desperate here ..
thanks so far!!

One step at a time. You might have to get a card reader to load the microsd, they make adapters for them to fit a standard SD slot, plug it into your USB and load into it.
yeah.. i happened to lose my adapter as soon as i need it.. i have a hermes. can i run the software through that???
thanks

you should be able to load the software onto your SD card via the hermes. Once have done this you can then move the SD card over to your tilt and go from there. It's very important that you take your time and read the instructions. This is one time that you dont want to rush through them.
ok so i tried to follow the microSD card flashing method.. i dragged and droped the nbh file ( it was renamed) to the card.. put it in my kaiser.. held power button and camera button.. went to the tri coloured screen for about 2 seonds now its got a white screen just saying "Loading..." does this just mean its loading the rom??
thanks
an hour and half later.. still the same screen... is this phone bricked...?

ITS NOT BRICKED!!! If you are seeing any screen at all it is not bricked. if the rom is not flashing or having trouble, double check the hardspl. And lastly, when was the last time you wiped?

HELP!!! Stuck at g1 screen!

I just got a new g1 and i was rooting it but forgot to install the new spl before flashing a build so i flashed the build and got a "cant symlink" error.
After that i figured out it was the spl so i flashed the new spl and it installed fine but when it said press home+back to reboot i just took out the battery...
Now I have to tried to boot the phone into recovery with home+power and camera+power and it still just remains on the g1 screen!
Please help!
Cant SYMLINK
First of all did you install the radio first? AND THEN THE SPL? or did u just install the SPL?
If you only installed the SPL then youre pretty much f****d and you need to go get a replacement device.
If you installed the radio first then the SPL then you should be ok just go back to recovery and reflash RADIO THEN SPL u can get them [here], but from what youre saying thats not the case.
If you do have to go to get a new device, it is free **at least mine was** I just said that i plugged it in the night before, it had been getting really hot and that when i woke up that morning it just wouldnt turn back on past the G1 boot screen. if you just got it you will be able to get away with saying "the phone said there was an update available, i downloaded the update and now it wont go past this screen" play it dumb and you should be ok.
Good luck, im hopin for the best, it sucks to have a brick lol i been there done that.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS LOAD ANOTHER ROM ON YOUR SD CARD, PULL THE BATTERY, GO INTO RECOVERY, WIPE, AND APPLY THE ROM! that is assuming you can get into recovery?
If you can't get into recovery sounds like another brick in the wall.

Im pretty sure i flashed the radio first but i forgot the spl and flashed the rom next... then i realized i didnt flash the spl and tried to flash it and it "successfully installed the update" so i pulled the battery out to reboot it and it just stuck at the g1 screen when i booted it... and no button combos worked to get into boot loader or anything like that...
but i called tmobile and they are sending me a new phone on tuesday lol
i dunno if i want to try it again =/
i thought i read somewhere that the newer phones brick easier? because of the new "board" or something
so do i

you thought the best way to reboot your phone...was by pulling the battery? even though the recovery said reboot by pressing Home+Back keys to do it, which would be infinately easier? Have you ever "rebooted" your PC by pulling the power cord? nvm dont answer that....
I would suggest you stay the hell away from the spl until you understand wtf your doing.
rebooting PROPERLY would have allowed the image to be written properly.
EDIT: LOL wow nvm this is a thread brought back from the dead......

If anyone can help me i will donate!

Hi everyone,
Since yesterday, i learned how to flash spl, and download roms and run them through RUU. I was unsucessful at first because of my firewall being on, and was able to flash roms without a problem after turning it off.
I wake u this morning, and tried flashing a new rom and I end up getting error [204] again. I checked everything from firewall, antivirus to even moving the .nbh folder to system 32, and still no luck. I wanted to reflash the phone back to the original TMOBILE rom, but it wont flash. HELP!
Iv been on since 11am this morning trying to research what im doing wrong, and rereading the "flashing roms for noobs" thread over and over.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciate and I will send money through paypal if you can help, this is driving me nuts!

Make sure that you don't have any special characters in your folder that's containing the customRUU file (?, %, $...).
Also, run the CustomRUU as an Administrator.
And then, if those don't work, IM me: AIM (ace10134) or Live Messenger ([email protected])

Ah, I thought I'd reply quick enough for it to go in the future, lol. But I'm still waiting to hear from this guy, I'm eager to hear if anything worked.
Sometimes something similar happened to me when battery way lower then 50%.
If this is not the case, try this -
rename the *.nbh file from the rom to RHODIMG.nbh.
Copy this file to your storage card, to the root.
turn off your phone.
press VOlume down (do not release it) and start the phone
FOllow onscreen instructions and flash the rom.
I guess it worke the guy does'nt even have the time to say thanks!! LOL.

Problem: Stuck at G1 Screen

I was running Super D 1.2, flashed to 1.4 earlier this week with no problems. Went to flash to 1.5.1 last night and had an issue.
When I rooted I used hardSPL and didn't touch the radio. To flash super D 1.5.1 I needed to get Haykuro's radio and Danger SPL.
I wasn't aware I needed the new radio first and that's where the problem started.
I put danger SPL and super D on my card, booted up in recovery (amon_ra's), did a nan backup, flashed danger, then tried to flash 1.5.1 and got this error:
e: can't symlink /system/xbin/bb/[
e: failure at line 59:
symlink /system/xbin/busybox SYSTEM:xbin/bb/[
Installation aborted
After I got the error, I hit reboot so I could put 2.22.19.26i radio on my phone, and bam, stuck on G1 splash screen no matter how I try to boot up.
It's my fault for not checking the radio, This is my second time flashing a new rom (I rooted my G1 a few weeks ago)
I took my sd out and put it on my comp, so I have access to my sd thru my comp. Is there anything I can put on there to try and boot up in recovery and fix this? I have a nan back up from last week and last night before I flashed anything.
thanks in advance
Like all the other post say, flash the radio before the spl. If you failed to read the instructions and can not boot into recovery or fastboot, you have a brick.

No, you shouldn't have to, but did you check before (can't check now)? There have also been cases where you got a bad download or it didn't work right, this also causes bricks. And please don't be a jerk and blame haykuro for this, I know some people have
I guess I failed to follow instructions lol ...
So I can't put a previous rom or anything on my sd from my comp to try and boot into recovery?

Well, enjoy your brick. You can replace the mobo, or break into htc and take the machine they used to originally put android on it, connect it to your phone's jtag's and watch the magic. Of course the second option comes with heavy fines, lawsuits, and jail time. Or you could buy a new phone
Nice, i'm an idiot.
Can I send it to HTC to get fixed?

No you can't, you broke the warranty by rooting in the first place :/
So, buy a new phone
bah! ...this sucks.
It be nice if they offered a service to fix them, for a charge of course.
Before I rooted I sent the phone to them to get some minor stuff fixed under warranty (which it was), but to be covered under warranty they said they had to make sure the damage wasn't user caused and the phone didn't have any aftermarket roms on it.
Guess i'll be shopping for a new one

On special occasions they do.
So you have a bricked phone! Care to donate it to the 'i wanna play with the motherboard' charity? Lol
just a stab in the dark, can you get into recovery with the USB cable connected / or a wall charger plugged in? (Hold home and long press power)
How long should I hold it? I just tried connecting via usb and home+power for about a minute with no luck.
Should it be home+power, but only hold power for a while? And how long?
