Hi,
Right been doing some digging around the forum to try to get to grips with how to use Touchflo on my Kaiser (Vodaphone v1615 WM6.1 build), but haven't really found an answer. I can see an icon in settings for Touchflo that just says enable sound when scrolling, but i don't get any other options to enable it.
How do i enable default HTC (cube) touchflo on my Kaiser? or is it not part of the Tytn2 standard build? I have tried Ftouchflo which works, but am after looking at default HTC stuff before looking at other implementations etc as the ftouchflo stuff didnt quite work as i wanted.
Thanks in advance

Right been having a bit of a play...and think i need some further help lol. At the moment I haven't installed the HTC Cube (found links for it elsewhere on the forum) and am just playing with the finger scrolling. Out of the box i can't scroll in contacts or calendar etc but have installed Opera 9.5 and that works a treat...not sure if thats part of Touchflo support or anything .
I then installed FtouchSL (Trial version) and get scrolling working (though it says it will disable Touchflo scrolling) in contacts, but not calendar (i.e left right to go through days etc). Then Opera 9.5 does not work with finger scrolling at all.
I have now removed FTouchSl and wondering how i get scrolling to work with inbuilt Touchflo? I would like to be able to finger scroll through contacts and calendar for example.
Cheers

Leave off the FTouchSL for now. Find and install schaps advanced config and set make sure TouchFlo is enabled in there. My contants works with Finger Scrolling. My current calender is TouchCal and that is already FF (Finger Friendly) you can try it for nowt. Opera I think has it's own touch scrolling.
Also try pocket CM as a FF contacts app. Or install HTC Random Access, this adds FF letters into normal contacts.

Thanks Dave will give that a try

Hi,
Is it possible to install a TouchFLO CAB onto the AT&T Tilt? I have searched throughout this site and have seen it mentioned, but I have not found the actual TouchFLO CAB that I can install.
Thanks for your time.
already built in
Ya, it's already built in on our Tilts... but here's a twist...
What if I don't want to hear that stupid ticking sound? I remember seeing on the Kaiser ROM the option to turn it off, but the Tilt has no such menu option.
Moreso, how can one disable TouchFLO altogether? I don't recall seeing it as a Service or in the Startup menu0
I'm using helmi_c's cleaned up AT&T Tilt ROM.
You can edit the stupid ticking sound in the registry. 0=off
You can turn it OFF in the registry.

Or Downlaod and use KaiserTweaks, which has that, and many more tweaks you might enjoy. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333898
thanks everyone. I didn't realize I had touchflo because of two reasons.
1) there is no touchflo icon under settings.
2) touchflo isn't working for me when I use my finger to scroll. I think, I am not sure, that it is because I am using the protective screen that came in the AT&T box. That would suck.
Anyone experiencing the same thing?
You can change the sensitivity of TouchFLO via a registry change also containted in KaiserTweak....also, see this post for the "use cases" of how TouchFLO works...

i'll take this one step further. I don't see anything period on my tilt for touchflo. where do I find it?

The Tilt doesn't have the TouchFLO options config settings page. But it does ave TouchFLO. Bear in mind, TouchFLO is the finger dragging capability. The TouchFLO does NOT have the "cube" from the Touch phones. It just has the same ability to use your finger to move around the screen and "drag" pages.
Since there's no program on the Tilt to set the TouchFLO settings, you need to either do registry edits or use an app like KaiserTweak to modify the deault sensitivity and sound settings for it. Search around you'll find mor einfo. but that's the basics.
I am looking for something simple but I am unable to find it.
I have upgraded to WM6 and I want PIE to scroll by line.
That's it.
PIEPLUS 2.2 used to work on WM5 but scrolling behavior is broken on WM6 - now it always scrolls by link ("Like IE").
MULTIIE 4.0 doesn't do it either.
I have tried Picsel and Opera but they have their own shortcomings.
The human brain isn't designed for page scrolling - we need nice smooth incremental scrolling. At least my brain isn't.
Help someone?
Search forum for thread about customizing PIE "KEYS". Relatively simple registry edits or there are tools that will set them up for you.
Cheers!
Apple like scrolling

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately these keys just provide for link and page scrolling. Line scrolling with the D-pad means that when you have a screen of text it will always scroll a predictable number of lines, regardless of links on the page.
OK, solved my own problem.
Smooth scrolling (including with finger like iPhone), full page view with zoom in (like Deepfish), full javascript support (unlike Deepfish), nice reformat for one column (unlike PIE).
Full screen too (press the * key).
Which browser? Opera Mini 4 (again) but with a different Java VM this time (allows softkey support, full screen and copy/paste) and now I have exactly the browsing experience I was looking for. Even on a Treo 240x240 screen.

Best of all ... it's free.
yep, very nice browser. Been using v4 since it was released. Esmertec Java works the best for me (looks like that's what you went with too).
TIP: Exclude the java executable from your touch software since it already supports finger scrolling. Allows it to work a little more smoothly IMO.
Yes, Esmertec Java made all the difference. The previous JVM I was using was slow, didn't use the top and bottom of the screen since the WM6 menu bars were always on and cut and paste didn't work.
I have got a direct link shortcut set up, it launches as the default browser for email links and it no longer security prompts for net access. I'm happy.
I have tried all the alternatives (Picsel, PIEplus, Thunderhawk etc) and I have finally found the one that works for me. Anyone still using PIE should give this free browser a try (with Esmertec), it's really nice.
How can I get rid of the security warning and make Opera mini my default browser?
And how do I exclude the touch stuff?
Thanks
this thread has the instructions I used for setting default, disabling security warnings and one click launch ...

I use the commercial TouchCommander software on my TytN II. It does what I want it to do EXCEPT for the Swipe Up command. I cannot open TC with a gesture. Does anyone use TC with the TytN II that can open it with the Swipe Up gesture? If so, did you tweak any settings like the Delay or GestureWaitingDelay setting in FTouchFloConfig.txt? MobilityFlow claims that the Swipe Up works for most of their customers; am I alone with this issue?

If you have the latest 2.1 version it works. Make sure you hav a tflo shortcut in startup folder. Also, consider the cube by Slither2006. I bought TC & now don't use it b'cause Slithers app is tons better with equal or less mem consumption. At least with beta 8!

OK, a couple questions:
1. Are you saying that a shortcut to FTouchFlo.exe or FTouchFlo.TC.exe should be in the startup folder? It's not. You'd think the TC install would put it there.
2. Where do I find Slither's Cube? I tried a version of the Cube a while back and found it very user-UNfriendly. I'd like to give Slither's version a try.
Thanks.

Still looks pretty user-UNfriendly to me. Way too many gotchas from my point of view.
TC works fine except that I can't get the up gesture to open the app. I'd really like to solve that issue. Unfortunately, MobilityFlow is pretty much unreceptive to my questions about this issue. I suspect that I removed some vital component in my Startup folder that is needed for the TouchFlo feature. Here's what is in my Startup:
btdwake
CommLoader
PKG
Pocket PROMT Launcher
prssrsrv
RefreshStartMenu
sddaemon
Services
What's missing?
Thanks.

Hello
I tried to find suitable Cube application for my HTC Kasier(genui from HTC)
Please advice me which one is the best for not advanced users...I mean way of configuration needed after instalation?
regards
I'm going to be really annoying here:
Search the forum.
Not only are there numerous posts about the various cubes, there is even a wiki.
Perhaps we can close this thread now.
There is something to know about the cube applications : they do slow down your device.
Each time you will press the screen, it will slow down the running application, because the cube application will interract to know if by pressing the screen you try to access to the cube application ...
I discovered that by using a paint application. When I was drawing pictures, it was very very slow. I deinstalled the cube application, and then I could draw pictures with no problems...
So you should think twice before installing these apps !
The only animated today plug-in I've liked so far is Ultimate Launch - but I guess that's not a true cube. I know Dutty's buddys seem to love his implementation of the cube. Why don't you check that out?
Also you should try dutty's vista suite, the cube and touchflo are integrated there, no need for configuration and works really well and stable. Although, it doesn't have four pages or fancy animations as in others.
Hi,
When I slide my finger up and down over my contact list, it scrolls too far and too fast.
I read about some tweaks but mostly they talk about speeding up things...
Any help is welcome
Thanks
Completely agree, the scroll speed is way too fast in the contact list... there has to be a way to slow it down.
I have the same problem while scrolling through my contacts. It seems that other apps do not have this issue.
can anybody help?
so, I understand there is no way to change the speed......
Strange
Why dont you scroll with your finger over the letters? It's more easy.
Or enable "jog wheel scrolling" in Advanced config. Then you can scroll with your jog wheel.
Would be a great idea I think....
However, Where to find it in advanced config?
Thanks
Diamond Smart Touch > contacts scrolling
sorry, don't find it...
All I have is, in "Touchflo"-map the item scrolling, which is already enabled...
don't find any map: Diamond Smart Touch in the advanced config program.
JP
you have to install boinger66 advance config to get that options in advance config.
