Hello,
I have a problems with my Diamond. Some days ago I set up the wifi and everything was OK. This weekend I installed the TomTom Navigator, and now I don't have wifi anymore. The Diamond connects itself to the network (the status is "connected" and I have the icon) but no data is exchanged (no internet and no weather forecast update).
The TomTom doesn't work well either. When I launch it, it contacts all the satellites but right afterwards it looses them and I have two messages :"No GPS available" and "The signal was lost 1min5sec ago". And then sometimes it works normally and there are no problems. The GPS is on "internal GPS", I have also tried "Other external GPS", but the result is the same.
Does any of you have an idea how I can solve my problem?
PS I am using Rom : 1.93.456.2, Radio : 1.00.25.05
TomTom7 (v7.450), maps 720.1803

Hi, All!
I'm using wifi connection at home, to be online. But, I have a problem with the wifi "card". Sometimes when wifi is ON and I'm turning off the PDA and afther few minutes turn it on, the wifi icon in the upper "toolbar" / icon line is Missing. And I can't use the wifi, till I push the soft reset buttun. (the wifi tab is missiong from the Setting / Connections / Wi-Fi too)
What is this problem? Afther a softrest, it works again...
Hardware problem? Software problem?
I have the following apps installed in the kaiser (original HTC Kaiser, no ATT, or sg...)
iGO, SPB Insight, SPB Backup, Skype, TotalCommander, Sprite Backup, Fring, SPB GPRS monitor, Opera browser, StDict dictionary, zaTelnet, and Wififofum.
Please help
I don't see this happening (original Kaiser). When i turn off the device (stand-by) the Wi-fi disconnects, but when i turn it back on it reconnects.
usually the mein is reconnects too, but sometimes missing the icon, and of corse can't reconnect. (1 or 2 times a day)
try with the keyboard shortcut (Fn + OK), maybe that will work
I experienced this behaviour also. It happened twice today, although I am not able to reproduce it on demand....
No matter what I try!
I got a new XDA Stellar from the O2 network in the UK, I can use Google Maps (although it says im a few streets away from my current location) and can go on the internet with it fine, just cant get a signal on TomTom
I have tried using 'Other NMEA Receiver', 4800 Baud and COM4 but it still doesn't work, I have also tried choosing all the other baud rates, leaving it in my back garden for hours at a time but it will not get a signal, tried uninstalling Tomtom and reinstalling it, all the phones GPS settings are set to default. I have installed a program called GPSGate which finds a GPS signal and locks on to it but still the Tomtom doesn't work
I am starting to think that it may be the ROM/Radio that needs upgrading but I am reluctant to do so as it's a company mobile and I wouldn't want anything to go wrong during the process, also I am from the UK and I haven't seen many ROM's from users in the UK
Please help!
hi
Recently i bought tomtom version 6 and all works fine except the traffic , as soon as i click on traffic the tomtom goes so slow and eventually i have to reboot the diamond.
is there anyone can help me to solve this problem?
thank you for your help.
check your connection settings, TomTom traffic tries to connect to the TomTom server to log in and download data.
if it cant find a connection it will crash.
i have got mda compact 4 and i have same problem makes my device so slow i just turn off the traffic part of it.
i have chacked my connection and its nothing to do with it.
Hi everyone,
I'm running on the Nav n Go iGO 8 on the PDA Corner Ultimate XV3 (May 7th) with the 1.65.24.36 Radio and iGO is having issues. aGPS is enabled and it is able to acquire satellite signals but then it freezes when i click street name when entering the destination. However, when aGPS is disabled it cannot acquire signal period as if the GPS unit is non-existent.
HELP
A-GPS
Hi
I can't get iGo8 to work with A-GPS enabled unless I start another program that switches the GPS receiver on and wait for a fix. Even then it's buggy and I have to restart the program every now and then. It is useable though. I find that iGo8 works perfectly with A-GPS switched off. Try waiting for a valid GPS fix before starting iGo8.
Cheers

My HD7's GPS ('my location' doesnt work, nor does the free 'GPS' app.) doesnt seem to be working.
I dont have a 3g network, and my GPRS doesnt work thanks to the failure of HTC's connection settings app as well. But even over WiFi, the GPS fails.
Is that how it is? Does GPS required GPRS/3G to function?! If not, should i return my HD7?
ok GPS app now works and shows some altitude/longitude.... but the Maps 'my location' still fails. :/ any ideas?
i've got 3g and still refuses to work
anyone?
HD7 uses aGPS
Unfortunately, the GPS capabilities of the HD7 have disappointed me as well. In actuality, the HD7 uses assisted GPS technology which requires a signal from nearby cellular towers, preferably three towers or more, in order to triangulate the position. Also, currently no external true GPS can be used, at least via bluetooth, since the bluetooth profile on wp7 only supports hands-free audio.
