i bought my wing off ebay and it came with the following specs:
ROM version: OpenTouch6L WWE
ROM date: 06/20/07
Radio version: 03.07.90
Protocol version: 4.1.13.51
i wanted to put it to the factory rom which is at 4.26.531.4 when i check at t-mobile's support site
during the rom flash, at 1% the phone resets on its own disconnects itself from the PC and shuts down activesync which then crashes the rom flash.
it resets normal and the phone still works under the opentouch rom.
is there anything else i can try?
what is the SPL of the device? It should be hardSPL'd, so you need to remove it first.

welcome to xda-devs
i was able to reset it to the factory rom. i've read that when it appears to crash, during the splash screen do a soft reset and press the camera button for the flash to complete.

you're just stuck in bootloader mode...to get out of this simply press the power button + soft reset + record button at the same time
Tried, but nothing is happening
u must'nt be doing it properly..
just keep the power button and record button pressed..and then press the soft reset..or just reflash ur device once..
the worst case could be the hardware record button isnt workin properly
Thanks for your help, Beleive me I want it to work.
I keep pushing & holding the buttons while pushing reset, but nothing, I've even held all buttons & reset for over a minute, but still nothing. It looks like it wants to do something, the screen view "Serial - v2.07" starts to go dim but comes right back after I release the buttons/reset (It says "Serial" instead of USB when out of the cradle).
I'm open for any suggestions!
same thing happened to me with my xda 2s. I spoke to 02 technical services and apparently the unit is stuck between roms. The power button + soft reset + record button or camera button trick didn't work for me. I had to send it off to 02 to be repaired - it seems it can be reset but by 02. Sorry but I'm not that technically apt to explain anymore!
Know that it isn't good news at all but I hope that helps. And stops the panic a little...
Thanks, that does stop the panic of thinking I now have a dead Xda, but I sure wish I didn't have to send it in though.
How much did they charge you, about how long was the turn around, and did they at least install the new update for you?
Thanks everybody, got it fixed, someone on another post said it happen to him, just put back in the cradle and start the update all over again. I did just that and IT WORKED!!!!!!
Now I think I'm going to try to upgrade from 2003se to WM5, hope this goed more smothly, any suggestions out there?
Wouldnt that be the first thing you tried..?
Yea, if fact the instructions say to do exactly that but for some reason it didn't work the first time, don't know why.
Boot loder screen is all I see
I had the same problem with the latest (Nov 05) T-Mobile update. Tried to soft and hard reset, take battery out, change to new computer with active sync - nothing. After the Hard reset with record button depressed - nothing. Still Serial screen - replaced into cradel started the update and it worked. PHEW!!!!!
Thanks for the posts - really helped.

After a reset, my qtek 9090 displays "NO GSM" and "D 5.60.00 WWE". At device Information, shows:

ROM date: 03/02/05.
RADIO version: (EMPTY)
PROTOCOL versionEMPTY)
and ExtROM versionEMPTY).
When i run an upgrade with "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" and nt.nbf, it works. But it dont accept radio_.nbf (ERROR 114).
Any idea? ty.
first try a soft reset (power botton + reset)
if u get still no radio
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Radio_1.15_Upgrade
follow this great tutorial and u'll get radio back
I followed the wiki tutorial.
Still no radio rom...
Could it be more than a software problem?
Try to press reset once, and then before the R: NONE G: NONE and D: (something) appears press reset again.
This should normally happen when removing battery and it is a common problem.
Is that what's happening to you ?

Hi all, I 've just update my Tilt to the WWE WM6.1 ROM, but after that, when I connect the Tilt with my computer & soft reset the tilt, it will hangs at startup screen, if I disconnect it & soft reset, it becomes normal, anyone has this problem too?
here is the information of my tilt:
ROM ver: 3.28.405.0 CHT <----I sure I load the WWE 6.1 ROM to it?
ROM date: 05/02/08
Radio version: 1.65.16.25
Protocol version: 25.83.40.02H
this is just the tip of the iceberg. wait until you notice other issues, especially if you were using lots of 3rd party software. core media player and skype are two very commonly used pieces of software that dont work as well. i have spent the whole of sunday torturing myself with this update.
i tried to be careful and waited until the official rom update appeared. i was patient and i thought i was wise, but it didnt help. i might have to revert back to 6.0 after a few days of testing
This should have been posted in the ROM section but anyways you need to check out this to see how pissed people are about it so dont think its just yourself

i need help with my phone, ive tried almost all, just udpated my cingular sx66 from wm2003 to wm6 through wiki, almost nothing is working perfectly, my wifi has to click many times in order to turn on, bluetooth paired with my jabra, awful, intermitent sound, can't watch youtube, and many times the phone icon turns off and when i turn it on, it says no service, ive tried with many sims but i have to soft reset almost always in order to read the sim, i already unlock it with the unlocker provided here, ive tried searching for the latest radio rom but i have no idea how to update, tried to install extended rom, no idea, did all the instructions in the sx66 standardization project, it is just a folder with a lot of cabs but not even the auto install runs or do anything, please i need help, i cant use the phone, ive searched and couldn't find anything
thanks for the help
mine working fine... try to hard reset again. btw ur flasing who's ROM?
ok the first thing is that whenever u take the battery out from BA u must soft reset it by the stylus.
and radio link is
http://rapidshare.com/files/131754772/BA_RRPT_Radio_11500.rar.html
upgrade procedure is same as u did before.
i just upgraded using the wm6 Ba wiki, no issue with that, i used the same radio rom you posted 10 times but it never updates, it stays, in "updating device, don't disconnect" for more than 8 mins, so I suppose is not working
rom version: 5.60.00
rom date: 03/02/05
Radio version: 1.02.10
protocol version 1337.35
extrom version: 1.40.125
i think that the extrom installed,
this is something wrong with ur device radio cause i hv sucessfully updated my radio using that files. and also given it to other xda-developers.com members for update and they did it sucessfully.

I have a T-Mobile Wing for about 1,5 years now and up until the other week it worked great. For some reason it only show the T-Mobile flash screen and does not boot anymore.
I tried to flash it with the latest RUU rom but every single rom i try to flash keeps saying that its not the correct model ID.
Since it hardly ever boots WM6 anymore i try to flash it from the bootloader. (turn on and hold cam key)
I booted good once and i managed to get the following info,
Device Name: HTC_p4350
Rom version: 4.12.405.1 WWE
Rom date: 04/09/07
Radio version: 02.83.90
Protocol: 4.1.13.37
ExtRom version: 4.12.405.101
Model No: HERA120
Platform: PocketPC
IPL: 4.10.0002
SPL: 4.10.0000
Can anybody tell me which rom i should try to use??
So far i have had no luck at all.
I tried the following ones without success,
TMo_Wing_RUU_Update_4.26.531.4
RUU_Herald_HTC_WWE_5.4.405.1_4.1.13.34_02.79.90_Ship
RUU_Atlas_TMO_US_4[1].10.531.3_4.1.13.37_02.83.90_Ship
I messed up my phone yesterday and was able to recover it using the TMoblie update ROM.
Did you try it more than once? Mine worked the third try. Make sure you are in bootloader. It is weird, but once in a while flashing takes acouple times.
So before you try other things, try the TMoblie ROM again from here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Herald_Upgrades
use 4.26.531.4

Thanks, I tried to do that all night but still the same old thing.
I don't understand. It is a T-Mobile Wing so why would the rom file keep saying its not the correct hardware??
Another weird thing now is starting to occur.
Now most time even the bootloader crashes or the splash screen freezes.
I am not sure but can it be that the bootloader itself somehow is gone bad?

1. How long does it stay on the screen ?
2. do you have it plugged up to pc when booting? - unplug the usb cord.
3. if you are flashing to another rom, try hardspl first - there is a thread with instructions on how to do it.
4. when flashing try using flashcenter.

*Quick note: Use FlashCenter if not HardSPL'd
Use ROM Update Utility (RUU) if HardSPL'd

Thanks,
1: The bootloader screen comes up and then the screen goes slowly white
This takes anywere from 3 to 10 second for it to happen. Other times the T-Mobile flash screen comes up and then it crashes or just stays in the flash screen until the bat dies.
2: plugged or unplugged to the computer for the crashing doesn't matter.
3: Thanks i'll look for that thread and use that
4: I'm gonna use flashcenter tonight.
