qtek 9090 - no RADIO ROM - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

After a reset, my qtek 9090 displays "NO GSM" and "D 5.60.00 WWE". At device Information, shows:
Rom version: 5.60.00 WWE,
ROM date: 03/02/05.
RADIO version: (EMPTY)
PROTOCOL versionEMPTY)
and ExtROM versionEMPTY).
When i run an upgrade with "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" and nt.nbf, it works. But it dont accept radio_.nbf (ERROR 114).
Any idea? ty.

first try a soft reset (power botton + reset)
if u get still no radio
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Radio_1.15_Upgrade
follow this great tutorial and u'll get radio back

I followed the wiki tutorial.
Still no radio rom...
Could it be more than a software problem?

Try to press reset once, and then before the R: NONE G: NONE and D: (something) appears press reset again.
This should normally happen when removing battery and it is a common problem.
Is that what's happening to you ?

BA / WM5 / Radio 1.06 upgrade

Any advice on how to achieve the upgrade. I have attempted with BAUpgradeUT and and MAUpgradnoid without sucess. My Rom version is 5.03.02 WWE (3/2/05) Radio Ver - 1.06.00, Protocol Ver 1337.38, ExtRom Ver - is blank. Getdeviceid recognises as a PH20B.
Using BAUpg is don't recognise device
Using MAUpg it correctly identifies CE image ver5. it goes to check information on device, Activesync shuts down, then Error 101 connection error
Any ideas ?
Connection error....
Have you tried putting the device into bootloader mode before cradling it?
I initially had the same problem upgrading my BA.
Press camera (media), record, power all at once while you reset. The screen should display "Serial" until you cradle the device, then switch to "USB."
Make sure you run the upgrade program twice, it often fails the first time.
Hope this helps, post again if this doesn't work.

NEED HELP FAST! :(

hey all I tried to put the upgraded cam patch onto my XdaIIi and it went wrong and now all the screen says is:
SERIAL
V1.01
whats wrong with it and more importantly how do i fix it?
thanks
put your device to the cradle and run the upgrade proses from your pc. Im sure you can done it.
Thanks
thanks cluster, its back to normal now I crapped myself for a minute
is this right?
ROM version: 1.11.00 WWE
Radio version: 1.04.00
Protocol version: 1337.42
ExtROM version 1.11.162 WWE
Yes, for some reason your device (correctly) went into Bootloader mode, but the process wasn't finished.
It doesn't matter, so long as you run the entire firmware flashing process from start to finish and keep the device in the cradle until it says finished on your PC, you should have no problem.

Camera Failed to Initialize

Hi All,
I Upgraded my I-mate PDA2K with the i-mate 1.40.176 rom and now i get and error when I try to use the camera.
Failed to Initialize Camera.
Please Reset Hardware.
36001:100:2
I have tried a soft reset and a hard reset, I also re flashed with T-Mobile UK 1.42.112 and O2 UK 1.40.242 but the problem is still there.
Also the camera button is mapped to Media player instead of the camera I have re mapped this under buttons in settings but if you do a soft reset it losses this and reverts back to media player.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Current Config:
Model No.: PH20B
ROM version: 1.40.00 WWE
ROM date: 03/10/05
Radio version: 1.15.00
Protocol version: 1337.45
ExtROM version: 1.40.242 WWE
Try to upgrade it to wm5 and if you really want stick with wm2003 then you can downgrade.

try to upgrade in "BOOTLOADER MODE".
press record+powerbutton then softreset while holding them. that will give you a "Serial X.xx" and if you plug it in the usb/cradle, it will turn into "USB X.xx"... then try the upgrade/flashing again.
MaUpgradeUt_noID can't find my pda in bootloader mode, the versions of SO, radio, etc, is empty.
Only appear when is in normal mode.

Click to collapse
Mine has ever shown any existing version, only shows what the new one will be. All my flashes have been fine. Did you try to continue and actually get an error, or did you stop when it "did't find your pda" ?
Win XP, Activesync 4.5 running
In Bootloader Mode (usb v2.07):
- Run upgrade
"Checking the information in your device...."
"Device CE image version: <empty>"
To "CE image version: <empty>"
- Click Upgrade
"Checking the information in your device...."
...........nothing.......i kill the process in task manager
In normal mode:
- Run upgrade
"Checking the information in your device...."
"Device CE image version: 5"
To "CE image version: 6.10"
- Click Upgrade
"Checking the information in your device...."
"ERROR 101. CONNECTION ERROR"
SOLVED
I'm SOLVED !!!!!!
I'm removed the SD card and ok
im glad you solved it.
just fyi...
you can continue flashing in bootloader mode even if the upgrade software doesnt show your current ROM version, just like Kasush said. it doesnt matter.

need help with factory ROM

i bought my wing off ebay and it came with the following specs:
ROM version: OpenTouch6L WWE
ROM date: 06/20/07
Radio version: 03.07.90
Protocol version: 4.1.13.51
i wanted to put it to the factory rom which is at 4.26.531.4 when i check at t-mobile's support site
during the rom flash, at 1% the phone resets on its own disconnects itself from the PC and shuts down activesync which then crashes the rom flash.
it resets normal and the phone still works under the opentouch rom.
is there anything else i can try?
what is the SPL of the device? It should be hardSPL'd, so you need to remove it first.

welcome to xda-devs
i was able to reset it to the factory rom. i've read that when it appears to crash, during the splash screen do a soft reset and press the camera button for the flash to complete.
