Problem with Upgrading.

I want to upgrade my diamond to the 1.93,but I can't.
I have tried using the signed Hard-spl and Unsigned Hard Spl each time it finishes in a minute and says that it has successfully completed but when the phone restarts,it is on the same rom. I have even tried the official rom upgrade from HTC E-club,that just gives me an error and guides me how ot get it back, please help
I know that its is pretty strange,I have searched but I have not seen a similar problem

Sounds like you've flashed the Hard-spl but not a ROM
After you flash unsigned Hard-spl, you need to flash any of the ROMs you like from the Rom Development forum after that. The Hard-spl merely opens your phone up so it can be flashed with another ROM but does not contain a ROM with and in itself.

i know that I am not stupid
the hardspl didn't work becuase I have entered the bootloader mode and it didn't say Olinex 40 ,or something like that,and like i said I tried flashing the offical rom from htc e club and that didn't work

just attempted to upgrade mda compact 2 using :-
RUU_Charmer_38221_382116_026921_TMO_UK_WWE_Ship.exe
from the t-mobile website , it loses communication at 80% and attempts a recovery this then fails this happens every time , any suggestions before it goes in the bin?

Try any other WM5 ROM for charmer. Or use the NoID RUU. It will flash it. Search for it in the Charmer forum.

thaks have tried the noid version which is suppose to help on hanged upgrades that didnt work I, have noticed on an old thread others hanging at 95% have used a radio version which I have also tried that didnt work, I have noticed that others have re-installed v2.6 and its been fine my problem is foolishly I did not bother with the backup , has any one got 2.6 or any other suggestions ...Thanks

There is one possible way. But nobody can say how it works. You have to do a upgrade with a SD-card. This is the ultimate solution. But I can't tell you how it works on Charmer I yust know it for the Wallaby. But you can just look in the Prophet forum maybe somebody there knows how it works.

Diamond very VERY unresponsive+other probs.

Hey there, please don't kill me for asking this question. I have searched this forum, and googled my problems, and tried all the suggestions...none work.
I have an htc touch diamond with a wm 6.1, but have flashed MANY different roms in the past 2weeks, including wm6.5 roms. All roms have been downlaoded from XDA.
Hardspl: Olinex 1.30
Radio: Radio v1.00.25.23
My problems...
First my phone started becoming very unresponsive, taking ages to even go into the start menu. I assumed it was the rom that was causing the major slow down, and flashed another...same problem. Then thought okay, maybe its just wm6.5 thats not very stable yet...and flashed a winmo6.1 rom.
It works fine now, but everytime i soft reset it does a hard reset, reinstall's all the wm6.1 cab's, delete's my contacts, messages, email's etc...please, i don't know what to do. My whole life is organized on my phone...i can't keep losing data like this everytime i soft reset.

must have had a bad flash, theres a topic somewhere on how to solve the weird problem

ROM issue....
Try reflashing with an original stock ROM, then flash the ROM you want to use... this cures all sorts of wierd and wonderful issues

Where did you get the stock ROM? I have a friend that needs a stock ROM that preceded the last ROM update HTC released. He states he has v 6.1 build 20764.1.4.3.

Error while updating Flash

Hello Everybody,
I am trying to flash the Dutty Rom Win 6.5 for my HTC Touch HD. i have tried flashing the phone with Safest Instructions mentioned in the thread. I do run ruuWrapper but when it comes to the final point i.e Flashing after few minutes it goes to recovery of phone and the process stops there. Pls help me with same.

No rom working

Hi guys i got a problem with my HD because suddenly no rom is working for me anymore. Every rom i flash gets stuck at the booting screen you know "The device is getting prepared for first use" after this message dissaperes it gets stuck. The only rom for me working is the standard 02 Germany rom.

Update your Hardspl making sure its unsigned and do a task 29, there is a thread on it

mmh i don't think it's the SPL , cause i got 1.56 olinex which should be right for new roms, but i will try task 29 thanks.

okay performed task 29 and installed black dragon 3.3 [ger]still not working, but i will try diffrent roms. clean rom 7.0 not working either.
SOryy but i gotta correct myself XTROM GRID LEO 3 was working but very unstable crashing after a minute or even while booting.
Need help i don't want to walk around with the stupid original rom

Use original ROM for few days.
I guess you could survive that.
If HD is working with original ROM, you're doing something wrong.
Since I believe you know what you're doing, and you're not doing anything wrong, I guess HD will crash with original ROM... and that will mean it's service time...
Ah... and I believe you're from german speaking area... right?

I don't know what i could be doing wrong i flash my roms as usual as it worked before ? But i found another rom working it's a stock rom "OrangeUK_HTCTouchHD_1.59.61.2_Radio_52.64.25.34_1.14.25.24_Ship_phone_software" but at least it is a pretty new one.

Is that ROM still working on your device?
I used that ROM for a long time, and I still have a radio from that ROM on my device...

Would recommend flashing stock rom & stock SPL to see if problem is with device. If you are still getting problems with device after flashing stock SPL and rom, then problem may be with device, i.e. service required

It's not a hardware issue, it always happens due to ROM-Radio incompatibility.
Most of cooked roms are compatible with Radio version 1.14.25.24
