invisibleSHIELD - Look it up for the Diamond my mate got it and it hardly shows any finger prints even after a days use and smudges whilst retaining the sheen of the device, also your back and front will be fully protected whilst keeping its form factor... if you have microscopic scratches like mine on screen that are obvious in well light conditions they will also disappear after application- ordered mine already...
Review and good pics... http://joeygadget.com/2007/08/15/on...-shield-screen-protector-for-iphone-and-treo/
They are available on ebay in most countries for Diamond - make sure you get the legit one as I am sure there are **** counterfits...
The ones for the iPhone are very hard to install and keep all of the little bubbles out, have plenty of patience when installing.
Although it is tough, the appearance after installation is extremely ugly.
Esp the screen.( no more grossy). I finally uninstalled it ( my wife said that my diamond is very ugly after the invisible shield, looks like an old PPC) and use other anti scratch screen protector and silicon case for body protection.
I have invisible shield for both 3g iphone and touch diamond...installation was easy actually but it doesnt look nice....u can tell theres something on the screen.
Would not recommend
I've already ordered one but couldn't installed it properly. It was very very hard and although I tried to be very carefully, still a lot of bubbles remained under the iShield. I put it off again and now I've got no screen protector anymore. Instead I use the original pocket case to wear the Diamond in my pocket. I think my fingers won't be able to scratch the display when touching it
Thanks for all the feedback
Interesting after install my friends one looked alright to me... hmmm I will post some pics after install and post my findings...
Anyone have a positive experience?
My friend's iPhone 3G looks MINT with it, literally can't tell it's there... But it was a ***** to install, especially around the corners.
I got one the other day and i'm sending it back, it looks apawling, far from invisible. I followed the instructions to the letter but couldn't get all of the little bubbles out, plus it just generally makes an expensive phone look like a piece of plastic junk.
Another thing is it doesn't actually cover the corners of the front of the phone so when i dropped mine the other day the corner got scratched.
Personally I wont use InvisibleSheild again as I believe their claims do not live up to the actual real world application.

Might make it look plastic, but I really can't say since my friend's iPhone IS plastic. Heh hopefully yours works out better, OP.
Mixed Views
Such mixed views - I have a feeling its down to having the patience to do the install properly - same my mates Diamond looks mint... hmmm
I had one of these for my Diamond and wasn't happy at all. I'm a very patient person but after a while it was just getting on my nerves. Trying to get it to bend around the case without leaving any air bubbles was just impossible. The parts that did stick down OK didn't look that nice either. It has a strange rubbery feel to it that I just don't like at all. I ended up ripping it off in frustration. Looked at their site and you can get your money back but you have to send it off to the states and I can't be bothered with the hassle or cost so I've just chalked it up as experience and will not recommend the product to anyone at all.
i bought and installed it right after getting my diamond. you can definetly see
that there's a protection layer on it and i wasn't at all satisfied for the first
week or so after application because the invisible shield felt sticky. it took me
the better part of 2 hours to get it right with no bubbles.
it's been some weeks now since installation and i'm pretty happy with the
shield. the stickyness is gone almost completely. i still can't slide my fingers or
stylus as smoothly over the touchscrees as without the shield tho.
in the end it's worth it for me because the device won't get any scratches at
all and i really hate scratches on my shiny devices

Would be great if you can post some pics front and back at a few angles in high light - not too much too ask surely lol oh and maybe put a cherry on top.
But seriously some pics would be great...
I just have it today from my friend as I said more than 2 weeks ago. Even it is not so smooth as a commercial one as it comes from HTC or Nutsell, because this one was made by hand, but it is really good and fit my x7501 precisely. It is out of my expectation.
And I am very happy that this in the first images for crystal case for athena until now. As I know, the material is Crystal and Sillicione (crystal for the screen and other, sillicone is only for the other parts - not screen)
I can see through the crystal screen and touch there to answer or deny the calls, or watch the message, or run anything else without opening the case. The cover of the screen was made by soft crystal which is thick and thin and soft enough to work with finger and protect the screen.
I don't have the camera now, so I have to use my webcam in my laptop and also use my X7501 to capture.
My friend asked me about the option for the case that I could make some requirements for the optional (ex: hang with belt or not, to hold all the body + keyboard or not, the color of the case...) . This one for me is aim to use with only the body, without the keyboard. Actually, I rarely use the keyboard because with AP 4, we have a very nice and big enough soft keyboard inside anthena and who will need the key board with only about 5% usage
Happy new year.
Dear vqscorpions ,
Thanks for the pictures , it is also beyond my expectation !
Very good try and I can't deny it is the first hand made type in the world , but quality finishing is typical school classroom work though . Sorry no offence , but i have to wait and see the real actual finished product again in the future berfore I buy the case which estimated to cost usd80 ! Many thanks for the effort , I like many tens of thousand in this world have looked and looked around for such a sillicone case or a hard clip on crystal case . But your enthusiastic keep us up running to complete our range of accessory collections of HTC advantage . [email protected]

Don't sugar coat it, that thing's ugly. I saw it and was wondering if it was still in the beta stage. The stitching is far from neat, they couldn't hold a straight line doing it, but the idea's pretty cool non the less. If I can get my hands on the material he used, I'm sure I can fabricate something a little bit more appealing to the eye, so if anyone knows where I can get the material please let me know.

To : tootallk2000 ,
Dont just talk big about how you can make a better case , go and find the material and make one and then show us your case , then only you can prove you meant what you said. Otherwise dont talk big!

I am also one of thousands fans of Athena waiting for commercial crystal and silicone case which can help us to bring the "small giant" everywhere but also can work through the case.
I hope that the better one which is more beautiful and more powerful will be done soon - which can have a hard clip belt.
anyway, thanks for sharing your ideas.
the feeling to show the first one is not bad
For a really silicone case, I think no any factory will produce that because this material (as I hold now) is very very hard to keep our heavy Athena with a belt clip that will not be scratched after some uses.
So, I guess that we can have only Crystal softcase for this one or Leather case + crystal in the future.
Keep waiting.
Dear vqscorpions ,
I have a suggestion , why not just make one soft sillicone case that encased only the htc advantage without the keyboard , with holes only for cameras , mini usbs , earphone jack and volume up down key , joystick key , stylus hole . The front screen leave open as we can use our screen protector and the other buttons if covered by sillicone - we can see through it lightly . Make it fit a bit tight . We can put magnetic keyboard in our pouch or bags , but got to take out sillicone if we want to use keyboard . We just need a silllicone case to protect from dust and scratches when we use it or when we put on the table .
Thanks and regards jimmunsw
Dear vqscorpions ,
i forgot to mention that you also got to have holes for the left & right speakers , the mic , the soft reset hole . but you can cover the rest with sillicone like camera button , recording button , power on off , internet explorer , ok , windows & volume up down buttons , also the copper connectors to the keyboard . Dont make with clips of any kind , just sillicone , we can put the device inside our pouch , hand bag , or breast pocket . i do it all the time - without keyboard & with a homemade slip cloth case . thanks anyway , it is just my suggestion . jimmunsw
not the up down volume keys , that you must have holes for us to slide - sorry

I second that idea, a hard plastic screen protector will be even better.
Cheers!
u can not see through Silicone cover but only Crystal
hi friends
I think that may be u don't know exactly what the color of the silicone
To be honest, the color of the silicone is a little bit fogy and we will have to give a close eyes to the cover if u want to see through it.
But for Crystal cover, u can even see all from a far distance.
Your ideas are very good, but as I know at this moment, it only can be done with Crystal material for the cases to adapt to yours requirements.
However, as I mentioned, I don't think any manufacture will do that.
But still hope for the newer version of the case of Crystal.
Happy new year.

Hi all,
My new silicon case just arrived.
If you're wondering, or looking, it's this one.
I thought I give a small review
Ordered the case via U-Bop's Amazone shop on dec 10, arrived today dec. 17. Not bad for normal airmail shipping I guess. total price 11,23£ shipping included.
Now, about the case:
Grip feels good, not slippery but the nice feel of rubber but a little smoother.
All cut-outs seem ok, there's enough room in the front for all sensors located around the speaker on the top. I was a bit scared that the bottom "rounding" would interfere when you try to use the hardware keys but that is ok*.
On the left side, where your volume buttons are, the case has a special bevelled surface so you still feel where the buttons are. Very nice touch I think making it easy to find the volume buttons without have to make a cutout for the buttons which would result in another dust-gathering trap
The down side of things then: although the case is advertised as being "skin-tight" and "form-fitting" the truth is: it sits to loosely to my liking. I would think that if you make something that is supposed to be form-fitting and skin-tight etc then it would need at least some effort to slip my HD2 in there and it would be as tight as .... well think "men in tights" (was the first thing that slipped in my mind) ...
Honestly. I think if I drop my phone it would be well protected for the first bounce.... but I'm scared it might just be thrown out of the case on impact!
It just feels a bit to 'light' and not much of the tight etc is noticeable.
Another small think I immediately notices was that the moment I had slipped it on and carried it around for a few hours in my pocket, dust appeared out of nowhere, clinging on to my screen where I had never seen it before?!? Strange as I always carry it in my pocket and I can't really remember ever having dust there that clearly... I'll see if that clears after a few days use.
I took some pictures and a small movie to give a general idea of what I mean.
So overal:
the PRO's
- good feel
- anti slip
- drop protection (100% for the first impact... guess % goes down with each consecutive bounce )
- all sensors, camera, flash leds, 3.5mm jack and micro USB are reachable
- volume keys can still be located through touch feeling
- cheap
the CONS
- not at all skin tight as advertised
- dust-magnet?
hope you liked the review. I'm interested en opinions of people using other types of silicon cases that do feel skin tight and secure so let me know what you have!
link to youtube for the movie : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ3fMmOg-zs
Thanks for the review. It looks cool for the most part other than it's not skin tight...
To be honest, I'm getting more and more dissatisfied by the day
Taking the phone out of the pocket is a sure way to get at least 1 corner of the silicone case dislodged from the phone. Sometimes even the two top corners come off so you end up fetching the phone without case
And I can also confirm that the case is a dust magnet in the meantime... so no good there either...
I think I will be filing for the 14 day money back guarantee on this one and trying another one...

Yep I'd have to agree 100% with your review, bought one of these cases on ebay and initially thought it was good, but as you say it's not skin tight it's more "underpants tight"...so the case does come off sometimes when you take the phone out of your pocket as it sticks to your pocket...and if you are looking for a static dust magnet this wouldn't go amiss...
Just an idea guys, but does silicone shrink when exposed to heat? If so, you could try bathing it in hot water to shrink it a little... ?
Grtz
Lukas
shrink? you sure about that? Haven't tried that.
case could do with a wash though since it has been sucking in dust like a black whole for the past couple of days so... let me give that a try
If we're sure of one thing then it's that it wont break the case

Hi, first of all this is my first review at all
I´ve to say that this is in my opinion the best way to protect the camera and so save the smart design of the beloved hd2.
but ... there are some bad points I wanne mention,
if you want a case that you put on once and never/only a few times pull off, this is your way,
but if you do it like me peal off every day to put in a cradle you have to face some scratches on the original rubber on the hd2.
For me it was clear that i´ve to protect the camera and still have a sleak design.
The Case itselve comes in a plastic box with some micro fiber cleaning cloth and a screen protector.
There are no edges or bur that could hurt the hd2.
The whole case is covered with a rubber finish just like the hd, but i dont think so resistant (no scratches jet).
The screen protection is not so good, after two days there are a lot of scratches on it, so maybe I´ll peal it off.
It fits the screen nicely and there are no issues with the aproximate sensor
Here are some pictures right from germany to you
How did you manage to scratch the screen protector? What are you writing with?
yea ... thats the big question.. I´m writing with my fingers and this protector get scratched, many many little ones, but there are even big scratches on it, think my pocket does this.... by the way only the phone in pocket... I´ll take a picture for u
That scratch on the corner of your HD2, is it from pulling the case off and on multiple times? It looks pretty ugly that scratch, but case looks very nice.
I think many of us have a need sometimes to pull it down becose sometimes we must reset it by pulling the battery out :\

yes its from pulling on and off, but i think its not soooo ugly cause you dont see it if case is on
for me its more important to cover the camera

Is there a reason as to why Case-Mate states it will only fit the International version? Not the soon to be released Tmobile version?

I have the case as well (silver version). The case looks really sleek on the HD2. Nice and slim just what I want.
However I find it extremely difficult to take it off. It's just too tight. Any tips to take it off?

T-Mobile HD2 is 1.5mm taller. Seems to be because of the logo on top. For gel/silicone cases it might not be a problem, but for hard cases and fitted cases - it is. It does not fit.
Barely any fingernails left!
I purchased the black rubber version and it is very unobtrusive and tight fitting - but that's my problem - it's too tight. I feel I am in more danger of damaging my phone trying to remove this case than actually dropping it! I am considering cutting slits in the four corners of this case to make removal easier. It's a pity because I really like the look of the case itself.

Hello guys
to sum it up i have the Xperia Z in black. I have a sticker on it covering everything except the black lines on the sides of the phone on each side of the flaps. So the bits where it is black rubbery plastic. So i had the phone in my jacket like an idiot and normally i have a pocket i keep the phone in ususally. However yestarday i had forgotten the pocket and was carrying the phone in my jacket when i decided to take off my headset and by doing that forgot to zip up the jacket and the phone fell off top first onto concrete.
Phone works perfectly screen or any glass is not damaged at all the only damage were 2 small dents on both sides of the top of the phone. So the rubbery plastic top righ. One is near the music jack and the other one above the USB port.
So my question is since i screwed it up warranty is obviously bull****. My q is would there be any way to repair this. As in paint marker or anything that might cover it up? (except for a backplate protector or snap in ) hate all of those.
Obviously goes without saying all help would greaty be appreciated and used to reinstate my inner tranquility.

I was afraid that the skeleton might have to be changed, but the skin is front and back the only visible parts left on the phone are the little black sides i got my bumps on and the front glass. I purchased mine from http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayIS...9&ssPageName=ADME:L:PMR:NL:1123#ht_6096wt_907
They have many different models i just got this one. These guys are amazing in bringing out good things i had one of those on ipod 4 used it 8 months than sold the ipod never had problems with the skin.
xperia z
is there a factory screen protector on the back of xperia z, as there is on the front. I scratched the back of the Xperia z. And if there is no screen protector back, is there a possibility of polishing
I did the same thing. I was so in love with the screen I didn't think to check out how scratch resistive the rear panel was until I had let it get sl gouged to all hell
Mines missing both the USB and heaphone flaps, front and back are cracked, there is virtually nothing left of the plastic around the outside and the bottom face is missing the sticker that has the barcode and such on...
Makes me laugh when people worry about little marks
