(coz I no want to lost my sms, even though I know I can restore it from the backup created using sprite, but the email account will also came back after the restoration) please advise.
Thanks in advanced!

Just go to "messaging" from "start" and open e-mail accounts.
You can delete or add new accounts from this application.

hi,
thank you for the reply, but my case a bit strange.
I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404851&highlight=email+account
I can see the account icon shows at the right hand side (TouchFlo3D interface), but when i click at "Menu"->"Accounts"->"Accounts...", the email account didn't listed there
Therefore, I try to create for another email acount and use back the same account name, the system prompt me that I have to use a different account name (eg. Yahoo!) as the email account name already in use (although there is no any email account listed there). So, I change the account name to "Yahoo!-2" and now in the account list only listed this newly created email account (but the dummy email account i created still remain invicible and cannot get rid of it). Please help

How to delete an xpress mail account?

I put one of my AOL accounts onto my Tilt using AT&T xpress mail, and I want to remove it now because that account is just a bit too busy (spam) and it's not as important as my main email address. Plus I can always use wap.aol.com to check it anyway.
I go into messages and highlight the account and choose delete and nothing happens.
I went back into xpress mail and theres no option for removal.
How can I get this account off my phone?
Can you remove xpressMail from your installed programs? Or was it part of your ROM?
I was just looking to get rid of the account it created, not the program itself, but if I have to I could delete the program, it's listed in remove programs area.
Yes, you cannot delete the account without removing the program. If you wanted to set up another account, you remove the software, then re-install the software and go thru the account setup again.
BUT A WARNING: make sure you have deleted your XpressMail account online BEFORE you remove the XpressMail software from your phone. Otherwise, its possible you will get a series of SMS "pings" that will not stop and can come at you as often as 10 a minute. Basically, log in to you Xpress Mail account online and tell it to stop sending you email (or any other notification), then delete the account. Then remove the software.
I cant seem to find an online option for deleting the account. There's an Xpress Mail Professional Edition registration/login area on AT&T's site but I dont see anything for the personal edition.
How do I go about canceling the account online before I delete the program?
Its been a while since i did it. I don't remember how I did it. If I happen to find it, I'll post it.
EDIT: I used personal edition also. Basically, log in here: https://xpressmail.cingular.com/subscriber/login.stp
and there should be an option to remove your accounts. This is in essence deletes your account.
If this doesn't work for whatever reason, or you start getting the SMS msgs when you remove the software, refer to my posts (esp. the last one) here:

Thanks.
I think I managed to do it from the phone though. I went into xpress mail settings and I choose the option to remove all account data (removed all emails from the account) and then I choose the "Re-Register" option, which deletes the account completely and then walks you through setup again. I choose that but after the account was deleted I just exited the program instead of recreating the account.
cool, glad u got it worked out. i just know myself and others had issues.

so my question is what if you removed the Xpressmail software before you remove your email, how do you stop/remove your email from Xpressmail afterward? will it automatically remove after a certain time?

How do I change the Outlook email account on my Tilt?

I know this is probably a stupid question, but I can't seem to figure out how to change the email account on the Tilt. I've looked everywhere I can think of and can't figure it out.
Here's the deal. I originally set up my email on my Tilt to connect to exchange server with one email address. Then my company email address changed. I now have two Outlook email addresses. The original outlook email address (the one I set up on my phone) now is no longer my main email. I want to change my phone to use the new email address.
When I go to menu -> tools -> options if I try to press and hold on "* Outlook E-mail" the "delete" option that comes up is grayed out. If I tap the "*Outlook E-mail" and try to edit the server settings I get to the screen with the user name, password, and domain. The problem is that the user name and domain are grayed out and I can't change them.
It seems that I'm locked into the account I originally set up. What's the deal? How do I change this?
I'd appreciate it if anyone can tell me how to fix this. Thanks!
I would try and add a new exchange server account and see if this prompts you to edit or delete the existing exchange account

It won't let me. When I go to add a new email account the only options it gives me are for a POP3 or Imap account.
I'm thinking I might just have to reinstall the whole ROM or something, but I'm trying to avoid having to do that.
I think you can try the following.
open Activesync on the phone-->Menu-->options then delete microsoft exchange...

Phantom e-mail account

Hello
In TF3D under the e-mail tab I've got a phantom e-mail account icon showing up on the right hand side even though I've got no e-mail accounts setup in Outlook. If I add an e-mail account to Outlook I get two email account icons showing up.
This happened after I improperly uninstalled Emansio Outlook plugin without first deleting my e-mail account profile.
I've removed all registry settings referring to Emansio but I can't get rid of this phantom account.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi,
I had exactly the same problem yesterday after restoring (new Rom) with Sprite backup. I was finally able to get rid of this phantom account with SK-Tools:
Choose category "All", on the bottom of the page you will find
Delete PIM Information,
mark phantom account, Delete Account,
"Are you sure?" Yes,
2nd "Are you sure? ...Stop" No

Thanks - I had the exact same problem, also from upgrading ROM and then doing a restore from Sprite, and SK-Tools (the free, limited-to-6-items edition even!) worked great.
I also used it to delete some duplicate contacts that were somehow in there. That's such a useful tool I might buy the full copy.
i have sort of the same type of bug.
i have a push email account, after removing the software, there is still a "1" on my email tab.
how could there be one unread email when there is no email account? ... haha .... ghostly ...
hopefully we can find a way to clear the manilia cache.

I was in the exact same position, and SKTools worked for me. An excellent and very helpful set of tools. Id recommend it!

Brilliant, thanks very much.
I uninstalled the sprint picture mail cab and I've be searching everywhere for a way to get rid of the account from the email tab. I'm going to try out sktools. But I sure would like to know how to do it manually.

Email Account Problems

Hi, when using TF3D and I select the email tab I am shown an account that does not exist. If you go to the mail accounts it is not visible there. Clicking on the mail envelope in the middle that shows an email (the account did exist once) does nothing.
I want to remove that account. I assume its a registry tweak. Does anyone have the answer to how to remove it?
Cheers,
Brisnick
