Slow SMS with 3G Band - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hello, when i use the Automatic band selection on my tytnII I notice that my phone connects to the 3G network band, when I try to send/receive txt messages they are very slow, even to send. Also, I can make calls but cannot receive them, it goes straight to my voicemail ???
Any ideas?
I can for some reason, make and receive calls all of a sudden. I'm able to view internet, but sending or receiving txt messages either go really slow or dont go/come through.

Missed Calls

Hi,
I have a Dopod 595. I cannot make calls whenever the phone is synchronizing or downloading email (Push Mail) or even when I have IE running loading pages. I am on Maxis 3G network. The phone has the ā€˜Uā€™ sign. I thought if I am on 3G network, I can still make calls or receive calls when the data line is being used? Currently, if data is being downloaded, incoming calls will become miss calls automatically. At least when I am on EDGE or GPRS, it will disconnect the data line.
Why is this so? Please enlightened me.

Missed calls when browsing internet on TyTN.

Some months ago I bought me a TyTN II. Love the device, but not without the possibility to go online. So I also bought a Mobile data subscription.
Here in Belgium it's with the the provider base, en they only offer 2G, Edge.
I use it for browsing the internet, blogging en I check some mailboxes.
All good and well but ever since, I have more missed calls than calls that come trough.
People immediatly get my voicemail. And since I use the phone for my business it 's kinda important that I receive most of the calls.
So I called my provider to complain, and they said it's my phone's fault. By default an incoming call is more important than data so the data should be interrupted to let the incoming call get through.
Are there people with the same problem here? Solutions maybe?
Or is my provider wrong and should I complain some more?

I have the tytn2 with t-mobile in the states and have the same issue. With no 3g incoming calls take a backseat to web browsing. If pages are already loaded then you get the call if data is in working mode (loading stuff) then the call goes to vm. With 3g it's a non-issue. But no 3g for t-mo here yet.
I can't say that I have the same problem. I haven't had any voicemails pop up without a call indicator. I am on AT&T and I too am in an EDGE network region.
I have noticed same problem with TyTn II on Orange, not found a fix yet!

It is definitely a 2g/3g issue - 2g data transmission is not compatible with simultaneous voice while 3g is. I can easily duplicate this behavior by using commmgrpro to change the data band, open IE and call the cel simultaneously. This is not a phone issue to the best of my knowledge - no phones are capable of 2g/voice together, although some might do a better job of "prioritizing" a call over a data session.

That is absolutely correct. Once in a 2G network only, you cannot use Voice and data at the same time. This is one of the main advantages of the 3G, where you can browse and get voice at the same time.
And there is no way around it. Either Voice, or data. Sorry.
I think he's getting at why can't he pick which one should be most important. For example, I have push email running...and this obviously requires a constant data connection...why is it that push email automagically picks up the fact that a phone call is coming in and allows itself to be prioritized whereas internet explorer does not?

Push email means you're constantly connected but it does not mean your phone is constantly transmitting/receiving data. It's only receiving data when you actually receive an email. So I doubt Push Email has any different priority settings.
it's operator phone equipment depended only
non of my 2g phones ever had call's sms's mms's blocked by grps

Suddenly impossible receive and make calls in 4g

Suddenly yesterday I started to have problem making call only when 4g is active. The strange think is that I can send and receive sms, surf the web with the 4g connection but cant't make or receive calls. The phone get locked in waiting and after I click close call the phone application seems to get blocked and unresponsive.
My operator says there is no network problem.
If I switch to decks and gsm mode only, the problems vanish.
What I can do? I'm stock with android 4.4.3

Sprint take a long time to send SMS.

Running stock rooted. Does anyone else on Sprint notice that it takes sometimes up to a minute for SMS messages to send? I have this issue regardless of location and signal strength. Happens on both the messaging app and hangouts.
There's a few threads touching on this topic. But there is an issue with the LTE/3G/1X hand off. So you either take a long time to send texts, or send multiple duplicate texts etc while on LTE. Some people also miss phone calls while on LTE.
The only work around is to put the phone on 3G. But of course that sucks. We're all awaiting Sprint to make some change on their network.

T-mobile voice call and sms issue

I'm having issues with calls and texts on T-mobile since this morning. Whenever I place a call the phone sometimes takes 10 seconds to ring, rarely it'll go straight to voicemail, and more often the call won't go through at all, the call will just drop.
If I myself end the call I lose any sort of connection, no 2g no 3g no LTE; I checked settings/about/network and Cellular Network Type gets stuck on UMTS. When this happens I can't call nor can I send messages, the redundant fix that I have to do to fix LTE and get messages working again is to go into: settings/mobile data/network operators and register automatically again, this always gives me LTE and messaging back, and sometimes calls, sometimes.
On the other end, when people call me, I noticed that the phone will go into 4g or H which is the same thing I believe. However, calls don't come through, it either goes straight to voicemail or it'll ring once or twice then go straight to voicemail. Also when it rings on their end, I can't hear it on my end, phone is silent.
This has happened on 4 roms Eragon, NusenSeven, Stock GP Edition and Insert Coin,
The phone is rooted and s-off
HBoot: 161
7.19.401.2
If anyone has the same issue or know a fix, please let me know, it's getting a tad bit annoying.
Hoping It could be the sim card, Thank you, much appreciated
Edit: Apparently T-Mobile was having issues in my area. Surprised it was out for 3 days.
