I've upacked my shiny new XDA Ignito and followed the intructions to install HardSPL.
The TUT says:
<snip>
To verify if you indeed have correct HardSPL on your device, enter Bootloader by pushing the reset button while holding volume down key on the side.
It should display*:
* In case of another HardSPL, the version number would differ!
Code:
…
SPL-1.40.OliNex
</snip>
I don't see this - I just boot into the O2 welcome screen - the update took about 2 minutes - has it failed or is there anyway to confirm the HardSPL has taken? I don't want to install a new ROm until I'm sure I'm not going to brick it....
TIA
Peter
put your phone into bootloader mode and you will see that your SPL has changed to OliNex 1.40.
This information will not show on the normal splash screens.
to put your phone into bootloader you need to turn the power off on your phone, once the device is off, press and hold the volume down then press and hold the power button.
hope this helps

Can You access Bootloader? Tri colored Screen with IPL and SPL info
Some Wizards have an operator Flash screen which overrides the Flash screen that's supposed to show the IPL and SPL versions. In this case, you can try to enter the bootloader (by resetting the device (by pushing the stylus into the reset button at the right of the device) and then holding the camera button). This is from the Wiki for the Wizard

Do you get it to boot into the bootloader?
(* Press and hold the camera key, then press the soft reset button. *)
If so, you can try to use it and apply the original firmware.

It seems I get into bootloader 4 bars (red, green, blue and white)
Red: IPL 1.01.0001
SPL 1.01.0001
If I attach a USB kabel it says USB in the white bar
But where can I find de original firmware an how can I get it on the system.
i saw your other two threads about flashing from sd.
heres the thing. you need to use the RUU for your device. It depends on who you purchased your device from. If you have an HTC branded device, you will need the appropriate RUU etc etc...
heres the link. make sure you choose the right one.

My phone: T-Mobile MDA Compact IV
I started the HARDSPL upgrade by the upgrade tutorial.
It flash the unsigned 1.40 succesfully and i clicked finish on the application.
My phone was restarted.
Now i want to verify that the OliNex HARDSPL is installed by pressing the reset button while holding the volume down bottun.
Nothing will happen.
My sound will go off and the screen goes black. I tried everything i can think of.
How to enter the bootloader?
Or do i have to flash it to the Unsigned HARDSPL 1.40 again?
Greetings,
Angkasa
While holding the volume down press the reset button and don't let it go till you see the coloured screen.
I think you let it go too soon.
I think I have just flashed my phone with hardspl 3.56, how do I check which version is currently on. Reason being the flash was very quick, it went from 0% to 100% in a flash.
Get into bootloader, hold camera button in "keeping hold" press reset whole and keep held and it will display Hard-SPL.

Bingo! that worked a treat and it had flashed, Thankyou.
I'm sorry to bother you but i really fu**ed my blackstone. My problem is that i got SPL 1.54, so i can't flash anymore roms, furthermore i got black dragon 3.3 which unfortunaly doesn't boot so i can't use manual SSPL
lol
go to htc site
download latest rom for blackstone
while it is downloading take out the battery of the phone
put the battery back in
press volume down and keep it pressed
while keeping volume down pressed press briefly on the power button
now you will enter bootloader and yu can flash the rom you downloaded from htc.com
to get the rom you have to enter serial number wich the spl will be set to so it doesnt matter wich spl is on youre phone
htc.com they always say "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device." and stop the download
Okay i downloaded the rom but like i said i can't updat if try i get error [294] invalid vender id
Are you able to go into the tri-colour screen (bootloader)?
with the blackstone off, you press the VOL DOWN button and press the power button.
If you are able to see the tri-colour screen your blackstone is not bricked.
just follow the steps here:
Dummies guide: flashing 1.56+ roms [v 2.0] - [HSPL][USPL]
Well good news is that if you can check your SPL, your device is definitely not bricked. Just follow guidelines in this thread to flash new rom and post further queries in that thread.
