@And extract the zip and find BA_OEM_PD_BT_Headset.sa.CAB
@Copy&Past BA_OEM_PD_BT_Headset.sa.CAB into Blue Angel and tap it to install.
@Make worm reboot and you can already finish work for replacement the new version of BtCEStack.dll (V1.604)

Attention for this thread
PLS forget this,
after use BT head set several times, the same problem had been happened!!
(sometimes effective, but sometimes not effective, also sometimes auto resume the device.not sure it`s side effect or natural function of this patch)
If you want to try this, plese dont forget it is your own lisk!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*for The Guys who already installed and wishes to uninstall due to some side effect. You must delete them manually with following steps.
@If you are using BT function, please turn off the BT, and make worm reboot it.
@Connect IIs to PC with Activesync, and use PC explore (Or use failer which can access dinamic librallies on IIs)and find following 3 files in the windows folder of IIs.
BTAudioGW.dll
BtCeStack.dll
HFPUI.exe
@Rename them to the names to eazy find them in next step(Example;"a" or "1", and make worm reboot again, then you can delete it. You can not delete those 3 files without rename. They were untachable.
@Make it worm reboot again. it have finished already and return to the default!
has anyone found this to work?
Has this worked for anyone? This is the biggest problem with the PDA2K...
Didn't work for me. This BT Headset problem really is a pain.
We were all looking for a solution to the voice dialling problem with the BT Headset on the XDAII and there's no solution to that.
Now a year on, a new 'improved?' model and to cap it all there's no solution to even getting a reliable BT Headset connection!
Now new test of solution
http://asukal.seesaa.net/article/1204039.html
Please watch my test!!!! but i am still not sure for myself!
Somebody please post your result with OzBT
Now my bluetooth head set still working with this ozBT.
But i think my result can't say it all for you, guys.
if somebody tried this, pls post your result, worked or not! Please.
After 3 days test, its workable for ME
PLease see folowing new report! seems to be workable!

BT headset problem
Thanks vey much for all this work trying to resolve this Blue Tooth problem. However, as a newbie with my Tmobile MDAIII, where can I get official upgrade files, ROMs, etc. unless it is only from this site? In other words,
is there a Blue Angel support site in English anywhere?
Thanks!
I follow instruction of Asukal and now BT headset are usable after standby of pda2k.
Now the only problem I have are that sometimes ppc wake up without motivation. the problem was present also before use ozbt and O2 patch.
Thank you Asukal!

And glad to hear that was worked for you guys!
But please do not forget, sometimes suddenly fail to reconize BT head set.
, then you can re-detect it again, you can use it again.
Do not panish me if that time come please <very little probablity>
Answer to the Mr,Guest>
@this blue tooth patch was downloaded from this forum
@you had better not to inquire anything to the XdaO2IIs support center, they are not specialized mechanics for the PDA, but just a mobile phone serveice center, they will replay you with quite different solutions to your question, it make you worth. this is my suggestion.
Mr,ilvanni> auto wake up without any motivate.
Yes i knew it, but it was not coz of OzBT, but coz of BT patch. before i tried OzBT, it also happened with BT patch. Hope you watch the battery.
--------------other way of solution for this--------------------------
Some Thailand Guy said, use the softoware to turn off the screen(but the windows is runnning), works for this BT head set problem, too.
You can try this, too. (i forget to the name of soft---may be "Screen OFF" or something like that.)
but sorry i didnt try this. need much more attention for the battery.
Re: After 3 days test, its workable for ME
Hi Guys,
I'm a bit new to this pocket pc business. I can see where your coming from, but when I try this my screen, particularly the Todat screen, wont refresh properly, ie you cant read it!
Any ideas?
Sorry i cant catch what you want to say exactly,i guess two situations.
#1;Does it mean today plug-in soft were can`t be appeared aftre wake up?<with using ozBT>
On IIs(or PPC2003) has some non-conpatible with the previouse version of Today Plugs-in Soft<World Today, tAgenda, or exToday, etc>
#2;or does it mean IIs can`t return to windows? some like freeze with susspend? if this case, i have no exipierience about that yet. sorry.
Sorry for not being clear!
What I am saying is that the video display of the "Today Program" ie the start up screen is corrupt. Any window, such as the Bluetooth driver message, stays on the screen. When you press the start button it appears on top of this and the display is corrupt. The device is still working anbnd clicking an any "full screen" application displays normally. The Today screen remains corrupt when you return to it.

Switching the Today background to something else, them back again, sorted this for me.
Today programs disapear
Now i got it.
i think it was coz of the New OS, even without those patch, some times happen to me.Or memory condition. Blue Angel lost memory very quick and be stacked easly(too much devise resources--wi-fi,bluetooth,keyboadm many hard bottms--- used i think)
(Himala upgraded with 2003Se is better)
the solution fo this,Mr,Sparkeyxda has right answer, i also try to open option----today---and off/on today plugs in, then return to today. they will come again.
I think it coz of un-compatible of old today programs.
So this moment, i gave up use some of Today programs.
sorry if someboday have better solution, please tell him!
I had the same problem and changing the theme back and forth like sparkyxda solved it for me.
is this worth trying on QTEK9090 ?
The bluetooth problem on 9090 is that whoever calls 9090-user wih BT headset, will hear him/herself really well.. it is as if the audio that is suppoed to get to 9090-user-ear *also* is sent back as if that was somthing 9090 used said. very clear audio loopback
Hi Akusal i wonder if you are working to solve the BT hands free problem & if you need anyhelp testing devices or SW i can do that
I asked it before, so here I go again.
For 4 weeks now I'm trying to get f.... TT5 working on my wizard,I'm using a nokia LD-3W receiver. I've tried all the comments, suggestions, tweaks available on this site, but it's still not working.
Who can help.
Everything is connecting, pairing etc. Also other available Gps software is not able to connect to this receiver. Again the question: what to do next.
......Stupid enough I even bought the official software...
what isn't it doing?
does it load at all?? does it not see the BT GPS reciever?? does it not find the maps/voices?
The receiver is paired and connected either to com 6 or 7. I also tried the GPS settings.
TT5 is starting and running, but it's not connecting to the receiver, although it blinked (blue) when pairing. Also it worked twice for several days but decided to stop working again. Because I expected this I backed-up the registry (when it was working) and restored it, nothing.
I updated my ROM in any version available, also nothing.
Is there a registry setting I missed ? Or something else I didn't do ?
have you set the phone to have an 'Incoming Port' for the GPS on 6 or 7?

Yes there is! While hooked up to your pc using a/s 4.2, go to explore>windows mobile device>program files>navigator ,and copy the navigator .cfg file to your desktop. Now open it with WORDPAD (NOT NOTEPAD), and change the com port to whichever one you used earlier (com 6 or com 7) and copy it back to the device folder (navigator) that you copied it from.
I did that and it works perfectly.......P.S. I found that post using a remarkable little item called "search"......LOL
But really, try this...it works.
Later....... 8)
Did that and Tried that, also found that, like I said before I tried almost everything I found in this forum.
TT5 is setup for the same port as the gps is setup in comm manager. Everything looks like ist should work, it even did 2 times.
The receiver even reacts when I pair it, but it doesn't when tt5 is connecting with it.
Would be nice if one of you experts could help me with this
Don't know if the wizard works in the same way as the universal, but try switching your phone on before starting tomtom. I spent ages trying to get my universal to work before spotting this hint on o forum somewhere. Also give it a minute or two to work.
Hope this helps.
TT5 + bluetooth
make sure you have the following set:
1. GPS icon has to be enabled in settings (look for the reg tweak)
2. Use the #1 to select WM5 to manage GPS automatically.
3. Make sure to set "outgoing port" if you GPS is on 6 set the port to 7
4. In tomtom select port 7.
5. Make sure you're using TT 5.21 or above.
-gene
Cranny, I'm not English so maybe I understood your post in correct. If not.........
Gene, yes I did this also, this also doesn't help. I think the receiver is not ok but I need to find some way to prove that. It is pairing, therefore connecting but not starting if I switch on and connect TT5.
Could it be it's stuck in a powersave mode or something ?
I posted the problem in another thread yet (as a reply). I open a new thread because the problem is again here unfortunately.
The problem first occured after the installation of the TomTom app.
After installing and downloading and installing the included map everything works fine. But then I connect the TyTN II to the PC and the TomTom Home application. The app was searching for updates for the installed TomTom Navigator. It brings up the message that a update is available, it was the "phone database - connect2internet" update. And now that's the strange and very annoying part: After installing the update, the phone doesn't play ANY kind of ringtone on an incoming call and the ringtones are very low.
Neither removing the TomTom app nor doing a soft reset solved the problem. After a masterreset everything was fine again. I installed then all apps (except TomTom) needed again and did a backup with Sprite Backup. After this I installed the TomTom Navigator again with the update... same problem! No ringtones on incoming calls. I did then a restore and all was ok again.
But this evening I called me myself and no ringtone was played. That's so annoying. A phone should really not have such problems. It seems that the problem is not TomTom dependent. I have these apps installed:
-TomTom Navigator
-Sprite Software Sprite Backup
-PocketCM Keyboard
-Pocket eSword
-Microsoft SQLE 2.0
-Mobipocket.com Reader
-PocketCM Contacts 0.15
-Saman SMSDeliveryReceiptFix
-MohairSofa Calendar+ Today Plugin
I hope that you can help me, I really don't know what I should do anymore.
Thank you very much in advance
Best regards

What happened with your settings? Are they still "normal", or can you see that the volume has changed to mute for example?
I've heard some people having problems with HTC Home changing profile settings to auto.

The settings are normal as they should be. It's also strange, that the ringvolume is much lower now than before when trying to play a ringtone in the settings. (The volume in the settings is the same).

You seem to tbe the only tomtom home user who is having this problem. So lets start at the beginning:
1) When you test the device, is it definitely in normal/ringer profile?
2) What have you set incoming calls to do in start, settings, sounds and notifications, notifications tab?
3) If both above are correct, does the phone vibrate if you change them to vibrate options?

1) Yes, there is the normal profile activated
2) There are all the normal settings (manufacturer settings)
3) This one I can't check now becuase I did a masterreset already
The strange thing too, is that the ring volume is suddenly very low. This occurs at the same time with the no ringtone on incoming calls problem.
It seems that the problem is not related with the TomTom. Maybe with another app like PocketCM, Keyboard CM or ???
Thank you again and best regards
JCD.SAG
Only way to find out is to take them off, then install tom tom and then test the device. If all is well, then add back one program at a time and test.
You may actually find that instaling them in a different order fixes it (some early WM6 roms would only allow some apps to work if you installed them after certain others and before yet more).
Thank you again for you replies. Yesterday on midday the problem was here again, no ringtones on incoming calls. Not even the restore of a backup made previously helped. One day before the restore could solve the problem.
I decided in agreement with the HTC Support and the service centre to send the device to the service center for repair. I really hope that they can solve the problem.

I as well am having this problem! It is extremely annoying as I have already taken the phone back and had it replaced and now the new one is doing the same thing.
I also had TomTom installed though?
Don't update to the newest TOMTOM using the Home Application. The update isnt even for the TYTN II, it's for other devices that need it. My TOMTOM version is 6.010 (7720) GPS Driver v1.20 MAP USA and CANADA v650.1109 - v675.1409
Everything works perfect including Trafic and I do not use the TOMTOM HOME for the fact that I do not need any sh-tware on my PC.

Today I phoned to the repair centre where I sent my device to. They told me, that the TyTN II is already on the way back to me. They changed the flexboard. I suppose this is approximately the same like the mainboards in the computers. I hope I'll get it today an I hope really that the problem has been solved. I will install the tools I need and then let's see...

Yesterday I got my TyTN II back from the repair centre.
But it's unbelievable, the same problem occured this morning again. No ringtone played on incoming calls. And now the battery cover doesn't fit good to the device now. It's so annoying! I have to send the device back to the service centre again. I can't believe it!

Fixing Ringtones
I had this problem and worked out how to fix it.
Look at the following Reg Key (change midifile to mp3file for mp3 issues)
Delete any EventSoundHandlers already in place and add this Key.
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\midifile\Shellex\EventSoundHandlers\{245F94CF-DD9C-46F9-B4C8-D2B14A877893}]
@="XME EventSound Player"
Problem fixed.

Question -- I have TomTom on my Tilt ... it installs fine, and works fine ... however each time I start it up the sound is turned off .. .and I have to touch the screen, turn on the sound twice before the change in settings "sticks" and I get the voice giving me directions.
Any thoughts how I can fix this?
Mine does the exact same thing, otherwise it works perfectly. Running XDA Live 1.1 ROM...
That is the default function. You must always activate the sound after starting.

hate to tell you guys, but it's not the default. The sound is on when I fire up Tom Tom on my Tilt, I've never had any issue nor had to go into settings to turn it on before. Are you guys using a ROM other then the original one?
Default off on both my HK Kaiser & my AT&T Tilt. Don't know what to tell you.
Solution that works for me!
I have found that all I have to do is to rotate the volume wheel on the side of my Tilt and the sound gets turned on without having to go through the preferences menu. It will repeat the last direction when you do this but it doesn't bother me too much and it lets me know that the sound is enabled.
The same issues occur with the previous version 6.03
And on other PPCs as well (eg IPAQ hw6910).
But it does not happen always, so I deduce it's related to conflicts with other softwares.
And it certainly isn't a feature, as a previous poster suggested.
TT as a default always starts with sound ON.

I didn't have this problem until about 30 minutes ago, I received the Carcomm Cradle I ordered for the car, installed it, tried out TomTom and now I have the same problem as you.
Are any of you using a Carcomm Cradle?
The only other thing I changed before the sound problem is I bought a "Veripart 3-in-1 Converter HTC ExtUSB" so I can charge the PDA and listen to music using the 3,5 mm jack port.
I also have exactly the same problem, and solve it with the volume wheel. I also had this problem on my Hermes.
TomTom 'fixes'
FWIW, not sure why, but the volume wheel never solves my problem in a predictable fashion, so I've went and found the following apps that make things easier:
TomTom Menu Builder -- Change the location of where the 'Turn on sound' or any button shows up in the menu for faster access. e.g., I've placed my 'Turn on sound' button on page 1 with 'Navigate to' and 'exit application'. The menu also allows you to enable all sorts of 'hidden' menus, with the most useful being the voice preferences menu, which lets you choose how verbose the speaker is. Alternatively, if you're not up to installing the menu builder, you could download my TomTom menu (see attached). Either way, place TomTom.mnu in \TomTom\SdkRegistry.
TomTom Starter -- Make your phone volume max and turn off all notification popups before starting TomTom. Reverses volume and notification changes after exiting TomTom. Great for when you forget that your phone is on vibrate or at a low sound setting.
BTW, its not the ROM that is the problem, it most likely has to do with TomTom. I'm using 6.03, non-taster edition.
The sound will be muted when you start TomTom with a data connection active. If you disconnect your data connection (G, 3G or H) before starting TomTom the sound should be on.....

Thanks michi123, I seem to recall reading about this in another thread. However, that's still yet another application (comm manager) and button I need to press before starting TomTom.
It's much easier for me to use the two applications I've included, as I'll need to go into the menu anyway to enter my navigation point and should I forget to turn off vibrate or crank up my volume, TomTomStarter fixes that for me...

Excellent! That works. And unless you have changed the functionality of your end button (like in the xda ROM) it is pretty quick to hold down the red end button (to close all data connections) before opening TomTom.
But it's not very effective when you're using a converged device, right?
I mean, would you turn off your phone every time you'd want to load TT, and then have to remember to turn it back on (while still inside TT)?

All holding down the end key does is cancel all active data connections .. it does not "turn off" the phone (unless you happen to be on a call). So yes, if you want to tun TT when you are on the phone, this solution will not work, but if you want to run TT when you are not actively speaking, holding down the end key first solves the sound problem. Then, you can still make and receive calls and, for that matter, you can still use data programs too, all with TT running.
Very useful thread, I've just updated mine and my G/Fs TyTns, we both have exactly the same ROM and RADIO, hers starts with Volume on, Mine starts with Volume off, the only real difference is that we're on different service providers, we both have MS ActiveSync running against our different corporate Exchange servers, and I have reduced my connectivity to GPRS to save battery. Will give the Tweaker app a go and see what happens. Sh
Alex. What version of tomtom are you running. I cannot get the menu file to work with my version 6.032(8351) no taster version.
Hi guys,
I just wanted to post on here cos I noticed some information that I didn’t agree with and also I have tested what others have said and it works so I thought I would say thankyou in one breath and bugger in another.
I have tested TomTom 6.031 SDK version on a HTC TyTN2, Glofiish, HP614c, HTC p3300 and a HTC Cruise and all of them start TomTom with the sound muted if they have a data connection active!
Sound is not muted at start-up if there is no data connection. This is great to know as I was baffled by it all but it also causes me a pain in that I need the data connection all the time, so I think its a mistake if TomTom themselves presume otherwise.
I have a XDA Orbit 2 on order but I am guessing it will be the same with that. I dont remember this issue with Windows Mobile 5, but it happens for sure on 6.
Also I have an issue with the 6.031 SDK and the unmute function call doesn’t appear to work!
Ho hum... so many devices with the same issue....
Ram
I have to admit I made a slight error in my statement above, I hadn’t tried it on the HTC p3300 and got the same result, it would appear that the HTC p3300 is the only device out of the many I have tried that doesn’t switch to silent when loading TomTom while a data connection is active.
I am trying to work out why this is as I am running the same software installation on all the devices.
Can anyone help me with this problem i just bought kaiser yesterday but i notice that i cant be able to receive any file transfer from a bluetooth connection.
However i can be able to beam file through bluetooth connection to another phone.
Can anyone help to solve this problem please?
thanks
Please be more specific, in order to get answers to your question. How your problems shows? Could it be just that other devices can not see your Kaiser, if so, then you have to tick checkbox "Make this device visible to other devices" on bluetooth settings.
--
Mika
As per the last post, your device has to be set to 'Visible' in BT settings and if you want your device 'Open' to receive all beams the uncheck the box in BT settings under 'Security'
There is another setting to check.
Under Start\Settings\Connections there is an icon labelled "Beam". Click this and make sure the box labelled "Allow incoming beams" is ticked. (Not sure about the exact wording but it is the only checkbox on the screen.)
And whilst we're on the subject of ticking boxes....
I'm pretty sure the two boxes under the FTP tab in the bluetooth setting need to be ticked aswell...Could there BE anymore boxes to tick for 1 simple operation?!
Similar Issues
I am having similar issues, but a bit more severe. Kaiser wont see my laptop that has a USB bluetooth dongle. It can see my bluetooth headset just fine. But it refuses to see my desktop and my desktop refuses to see it. Any suggestions

What rom are you using? I was using alex's rom for a while but he some how removed the ftp tab in the bluetooth settings and I was never able to receive any files. I switched over to sleuth's rom and it fixed all my problems.

It's the same in Dutty's new ROM. The FTP tab is gone, and now I (and a few other people) can't send/receive via bluetooth.
Technical intervention is required here ...
I'm facing the exact same problem with my TyTn 2, but here are some spacifics that require an expert's opinion...
1. The device sends perfectly...
2. When it comes to recieving, here's the low-down:
-I tried sending a pairing req. from my computer (through my BT dongle) & the phone received the req.
-After the pair, the computer sent & the device received (no problem until now)...
-I tried sending another file (from my Nokia 6300) & there was no response from my phone...
-I tried sending from a Nokia 6260, the phone received without even the need to pair!!!
What I want to know is the technical reason for this to happen???
P.S.
Here are the options set on my device:
-Receive all incoming beams (Checked)
-Turn on BT (Checked)
-Make this device visible to other devices (Checked)
-Authentication (Passkey) required (Unchecked)
I think it would be a whole lot easier if you just packed your phone up and sent it to me. I would uh, take care of it for you.

Thanks alot k101d for the quick response, but as I'm quite skeptical when it comes to messing around with my phone's internal configuration or registry files & so on, I would like to know the source from which you got the .CAB file, & what it exactly does (on the inside of course)...
Many thanks again, dude...
Oh, thanks a lot k101d.
Till today I was so dissapointed with this BT of mine (it costs about 100 €).
It worked !!!
Yo costas2by4AIO,
sorry if I'm gonna be bothering you, but bare with me & my desperate questions...
What exactly were you suffering (concerning BT) from before applying the .CAB file, & what was the result that satisfied you?
Hi Guys,
Need Help......
I am not able to beam more than one file altogether with my HTC tytn II
Please help me to figure out, How can I beam files altogether to other Bluetooth device instead of one by one.
Thanks,

I do have the same problem. I can't send or receive files (contacts, video, photo, music, ringtones) from other phones.
Already tried HTC patchs, but no solution at all.
Tried to download that file, but the link is not availlable. Can someone post the file again or have another solution ?
