Hey guys,
i'm not used to doing flashing so I have a few questions before doing to avoid any mistake.
I read that if I wannna flash the ROM, I must first flash the HARD SPL
1) do I have to flash it back before sending it to warranty? how and with what HARD SPL?
2)can it fail?what solution are available to fix it up?
thx in advance for these newbies questions, I ve spent a lot of time but never got a precise answer

I just have a quick question about rom upgrading. i have attempted to look it up on the forumn but i dont understand the tools referenced.
my question is is it possible for me to completely ruin my xda by tring to upgrade the rom. i hear the xda2s has a bootloader mode. will this recover my rom no matter what?
how hard and risky is upgrading rhe rom.

why can´t you upgrade the rom??? you only has to flash the new rom again!!!
Please explain you problem with more detail.
i flashed the new rom but the old rom is on my phone not the new
after each update, you have to hard reset your device. did you do that?

Did you follow flashing guide correctly?
Are you using HSPL or USPL method? If USPL method you need to re-use it before every flash. If HSPL is on device, your SPL should say SPL-1.56Olinex and you should be able to flash rom straight away
Answer all questions above and post your response on flashing thread. No need for new one.

My Kaiser is having a few problems, so I need ti send it back to repair, but the warranty wont cover it unless I restore the stock SPL wich came with the phone, the 3.28. Can anyone provide me with that? I've searched the forum, but I couldn't find it.

can we back up a ROM, i mean, i got my x1 repaired and as default i have now windows 6.1, i want to flash a new Rom but i want to have a back up for this 6.1 windows.
so is there a way???

to backup your current rom read Angelusz thread and as you recently restored your device for warranty reasons you already know about stock roms/spl and where to get them

Hi there everyone ,Now Im going to ask a question im not supposed to ask and
Its prob benn asked a few thousand times before ,and yes I did try the WIki but for some reason it says its down ....so anyway on to the question ?
I need to undo the HSPL and put things back to stock for a short time , the memory card reader seems to be faulty and I need to send it in for repairs but obviously seeing as I HSPl here in SA that voids warranty so is this possible to go back to time before OliNex ..well for a short period anyway
just a link to the appropriate would do ,else if not just a no .

You just have to flash your HD with your Original Rom for HD and everything will be back to normal.
You will need to provide more information so that I will try to find your Original Rom.
Where are you from?
What's your Network?

It will not replace HSPL (this will only work with USPL).
To get HSPL back to normal look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431217

Just need to find the SA stock rom and I will run it .
If you have a query regarding HSPL it should be posted in the HSPL thread (where your answer is anyhow).....no need for a new thread
As for location of stock SA rom, not sure, hopefully somebody else would know. We are hoping to get the wiki up and running again shortly
