I am trying to use my call button (hard button) to call or open phone app, but all it does is go to the home screen. I have recently installed Diamond Tweak, Diamond 3D Config, and Advanced Config and wonder if this is the issue. Have any advice?
What Hardware do you have? For example the german T-Mobile MDA Vario 4 has the phone buttons switched with home and back. On HTC Raphael home and back are on top, call and hang up below. Maybe this is a problem with your new software and wrong mapped buttons.
It is a HTC Fuze (AKA Raphael or Touch Pro). It has Home and Back on top and Call and End below. Is there a way to remap to do original functions? I tried AEBPlus but it will not let me map Call to do the call function, just other functions.

Hi, could anyone who upgraded the BlueAngel to WM5 please check if the phone menu features a button "Speakerphone" on the screen (like on original WM5 devices do) and if the speakerphone really can be activated by clicking on this button.
Reason for asking: simulated input for disabled people depend on that WM5 feature (they cannot press the device buttons), so it would be great to have it working on BlueAngel, too.
Thanks.
There is no "Speakerphone" soft button on the phone interface.
I do not know how it ist called in english UIs, but it is used to activate the Speakerphone. Is there one such button?
It is called "Speakerphone" in English but there is no soft key. You must press and hold the Green "Answer" Key to activate it.
Hi experts, I was using ArtZ's Widcomm WM5 rom and radio 1.15 for a week with no problem. I think after I uninstall the HTC SmartDial and problems came up. The Answer(Green Phone Button), Hang up(Red Phone) buttons and D-pad including action button in the center of d-pad are not functioning as they should. When I press answer button in WM5, first start menu, contact and calender all pop-up. The rest of the buttons including D-pad starts different programs. I tried to reflash to Ivan's WM5 rom and downgrade to WM2003, but the buttons still won't function properly. Help, I can't even answer the phone or hang up using buttons.
YEAH! FIXED itself.
I took out the battery and leave it over night while the backup runs out. I put back the main battery and buttons works again. It is nice to map the Answer button to voice activate or something else. Does anyone knows how the change the phone buttons or D-pad to some other functions?
Is there a way to let the Tomtom navigator screen come back (main screen)
when a phone call gets connected?
Now the phone pad stays in view and I have to shut it down with X or hang up the phone then it gets back automaticly.
Or is there a program how can do this for me, so minimize phonepad on connection and Tomtom screen in front...
On WM5 this worked with no problems
I miss this feature too.
On my Ipaq 6945 (WM5) tomtom screen popped up as soon as the call connected. But on the Kaiser it's bit of a hassle to get the tomtom screen to the front.
I would expect if you mapped a button to a task manager, you could use it to switch back to the tomtom app. I have a button mapped to this... I'll test it out when I have a chance.
I did test it, and it does work. I'm using AE Button plus to map multiple functions to various buttons. I have a double-click of the windows start button mapped to switch to the next application, and a press-hold mapped to bring up the AE task manager. Either one works: double-clicking toggles between the open apps, and press/hold brings up the task manager with a list of apps, and clicking on the desired app brings that one to the front. In either case, the phone call stays active, but I'm able to toggle the screen between the phone app, and TomTom.
So I'm replacing a friends Compact IV with an HTC Diamond. What is the best way to 'image' the MDA device to then restore it on the Diamond?
Thanks for any help offered.
You mean put a Diamond ROM on the MDA IV??? Wouldn't that cause problems with the hardware buttons? Because T-mobile switched them...
(I'm also interested to put a Diamond ROM on my MDA IV because T-Mobile doesn't update too much...)
Other way around, moving the MDA onto a HTC. Surely they have the same buttons and hardware? Just a different looking back and logo?
On the Diamond the "call" and "end call" buttons are positioned on the bottom and the "home" and "back" buttons are positioned above the "call" and "end call" buttons.
On the MDA IV the "call" and "end call" buttons are positioned above the "home" and "back" buttons.

Just tap "let the debranding begin" in the search box and you'll have all the help you need. Good luck
Erm, once again.... I'm not debranding. I debranded the Compact IV that she has, but now we've ordered a 'proper' HTC Diamond I want to image the first device and flash it onto the new one to save all the reinstalling of software, is this possible?
(I've just thought, most software gets unlocked for a specific device ID and this then wont match will it? Hmm...)

Isn't that weird? Why would they do that? Anyway, I flashed the MDA device with one of Dutty's Diamond ROM's and all the keys work fine...

The best way, as far as I can tell, is to use SPB backup to do a full backup of the phone. Then, install the exact same rom on the diamond that you have on the MDA Compact (read HardSPL thread etc if required). Then restore the backup from SPB backup. The difference in the hardware buttons is not an issue. In fact, I think that is the only way that you are going to be able to sensibly do it.
Okay, thats great, thanks. That was what I was thinking, but I didn't think to put the same ROM on there first. Good idea, thanks.
Only the direction buttons and center button do anything, and the center button brings up the start menu for some reason. Actually the other buttons don't do anything, but they get the buttons to light up. On the keyboard the arrow keys make the keyboard light come on, but nothing else and no other keyboard buttons work. Also, when the phone come out of sleep mode everytime it goes to the phone mode and enters EDFC and possibly other letters I'm missing. Touch Screen interface works fine.
When I turn on my backlight with power button its activating Push to talk. But during turn off no PTT is called.
I'm not even able to do hard reset. Coz my left and right soft keys not working.
My phone is HTC TyTnII. But I have been using AT&T Rom since few months without any problem.
I tried flashing with WWE Kaiser/o2 WM6.1 same is the problem.
