Hello all!!!
I'm having some issues with my Kaiser and I don't know if a Hard reset will solve them. Also I'm trying to avoid doing this since I would have to re install all my soft, which is something I really wouldn't like to do...
The issue
When the Kaiser is soft reseted it starts "normally" it shows the "Vodafone" spash screen and the when Windows Mobile 6 logo appear the back light of the screen turns off (but the screen still works)... After this Pin is entered (every thing fine untill here) but when the SO finishes loading the back light is still off, so I press the On (standby) button and the back light turns on, I press the On button again to and the screen turns off... and that's it, I have to re-reset it because it never comes back from Stand by mode... If I call my self the phone starts vibrating for ever!
If I execute any program (before freezing the device) this app never finishes loading and cannot be closed (for example TOMTOM).
Still... If I soft reset it while plugged to my computer or any charger then the device loads and works perfectly.... What the f is going on??
Any suggestions or comment will be much appreciated!!, I think my Kaiser still has to live a few months more (it's been only 1 year since I got it).
Thanks to all!!!!
Mmmmm... not to many answers, I guess I'll just have to hard reset...
Either way.. thanks!
Have you tried to replace the battery?, sounds weird, but maybe is a battery failure.
Saludos !
Sorry for the language switch, , but since you are Spanish . . .
Regards.
Thanks a lot...
Bueno... I never thought of flashing the device (I did with my previous phone a Hermes), here in Spain sometimes when you flash the device then the network does not recognise your phone anymore for certain services... Still I imagine that the new Wm 6.1 and 6.5 are far better than the Vodafone crap I have in my Tytn...
Thanks for that, I'll try hard resetting if nothing happens my tytn will get a new rom...!
I sincerely encourage you to flash a new ROM in your kaiser, there are other forums where the chefs release ROM especifically for spain providers, maybe you can look for one of them, and if not, in those sites they have cabs with settings for data connections of any provider.
I hope this will not be considered as spam, look for htcmania or todopdas, those are spanish forums, but you can find most of their ROMS are based on xda-Developers ROMS.
Saludos desde México !!
i second the thought about a power failure.
i had this issue on a siemens phone. it sounds like the battery i damaged and unable to deliver enough power to your phone.
maybe you should try to geht this little tool to work and compare the examples to yours.

This implies there may be an issue with power coming from the battery so aside from a possibly faulty battery as already mentioned, you may want to check the little gold terminal pads on the battery are cleaned with a cotton bud dipped in some contact cleaner or IPA, also the spring terminals that make contact with the battery.
I once had a problem with my battery failing to charge and this fixed it. I have cleaned the terminals every couple of months this way since and have had no further problems. Be careful not to spray the contact cleaner directly onto the battery or spring terminals - you don't want to get any fluids where they shouldn't be, especially with moisture indicator stickers that will void your warranty if triggered.

It happened 3 times already and i had to hard reset, it's really annoing.

I've P3600 No brand too but i do not have ever seen white screen after reboot.
The only thing that i see sometimes is the display that come out from stand-by even if i don't touch it.

Mha...

Hi there! I know some ppl already did discuss this on the forums and I tried what ppl have said earlier with paperclips and my pen and even tried loads of headphones playing around! I even broke my pen for trying so hard!
SO basicly for whoever doesnt know its stuck in headset mode and I cant call or receive calls without headphones wich is quite anoying! Im guessing it might be something that broke inside of the jack1.5mm not sure tho dunno how it works!
So Im guessing is there any chance to put it back on normal mode via software? registry ? or something like thaT? or any of you has any idea on a workaround for this? plz give me some ideas since Im out of them! realy dont wanna take the phone to SE to take like 25days and to pay loads of money since I aint got warranty!
Cheers
n0brega
oh forgot to say it started from nowhere I dont put headphones in the phone for like 3months or more! yesterday just took it out of my pocket and it was stuck in headset mode for some reason!

plug your headphone to 3.5mm jack again and unplug it carefully, make a call after doing it, it should work, if it doesn't, try again and this time, unplug it as fast as yu can:d i hope it will help, try it till it work:d, if it doesn't work after 5 times, try to hard reset:d
tried it all more than 50 times lol so Im guessing only a registry tweak or something would make the phone work again properly even if it disables the headset mode im fine with it since I realy dont use headphones....

did you try a hardreset? maybe it will help, when it happen in my old o2 miniS, i plug it several times but it still doesn't work, but 1 day later, it works again:d
This happened to me way back with my i-mate Jam. No idea if it is the same issue, but this is how I solved:
1) Plug the head-phones in.
2) Power off the phone (soft-reset), leaving the head-phones plugged in.
3) Power the phone back on again.
4) When the phone has fully booted to the today screen, remove the head-phones.
As I said, this worked on the i-mate Jam, but no idea if it is the same issue.

Same problem here. My phone is inside the pocket most of the time with headset plugged in. And moving around seems to affect the connection after a while. Now I have to plug it in and then while removing it wiggle it a bit around. Contacts are getting stuck most likely. Also when I remove it, it seems to be stuck more secure than it used to.
Any way to fix it yourself?
Try turning off the headset in registry.
HKLM\System\State\Hardware
Set "Headset" to 0.
(P.S. Any reboot of your phone might reset this. If you would like me to make a script to automate it, PM me.)

Same problem here...
When I do what you suggested, the "headphones connected" status keeps showing and the speakers still dont work...
Guess you're out of luck then. Have to send it back in for repairs.
Had the same problem. Only a repair will help...
When I got it back from the repair center I noticed that the headphone jack is now totally different.
- The heavy resistance is gone, the headphones just go in like butter now.
- There is a little click at the end.
I hope it won't break this time.
How much did you pay for the repairs? How long did it take?
well try this, (it worked for me)
1. install the SRS plugin found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=473780)
2. soft reset the phone 2 times
And tada no more stuck in headset mode!
hope it works for you

I have tried this and all the tips above but it did not work. Few days ago I could resolve the problem by knocking around the headset connector. But now the problem seems no way out. I think it is a hardware problem.
Please help...
First Sorry for my English… I’m from Argentina.
I had this diamond for a week, working perfectly.
Suddenly the digitizer started to think I’m pressing a button, but not I haven’t, Tried a hard reset, got stuck a little in the alignment screen, trying to touch the crosses in different places I got pass the screen…
Now is working not so good, in the center of the screen it is perfectly centered but when I move the stylus Up or down it start to misalign and Can’t use the start menu or the function buttons at de bottom of the screen.
This is really frustrating…
Can someone help me?
Tnks.
hi my friend,
you should try to hard reset again an see if is working, there is an accidet or somethint that you think could broke que digitalizar o some thing like that?
you can also can try the note pad to si if there is an specific area where the digitalizar is not working.
i know that there is a way to skip the aligment process but i never used it
suerte
Thanks for your answer.
I´ve tried another hard reset erasing the movinand with the same results
Now I´m stuck in the alignment screen
Any ideas.
Thanks again.
Gracias amigo por tu respuesta.
He probado otro hard reset con similares resultados.

I had the same problem!
I left the battery out for a day and it eventually let me align the screen again.
It did not last long though i had to get a replacement from orange, but the nice lady did it for free
Good luck!
i got it repaired by htc...
they replaced the LCD with the new one...they said the digitizer was broken
The problem and the "solution"
Found the problem…
When I was cleaning the screen I was able to see a spot in the lower left corner of the digitizer, a small bubble inside the digitizer, I guess this bubble came from the windex I used to clean the screen… Don´t use Windex or something similar…
And I found a solution…
Manually modify the values in HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\CalibrationData
The bubble made a deformation in the digitizer so I have to compensate by changing the calibration data…
My new values
479,503 700,175 700,700 179,812 185,175
As you can see with these values my new screen isn´t rectangular any more, now it looks like a Trapezoid…
I will have to change the digitizer, for now I will keep using it as is.
Thank for all the answers
Best regards
Petete.

Hi everyone,
I've discovered one big problem with the top of the touchscreen, that not respond and the notification bar not scroll down. I also use one touch verify app and the problem is verified by that.
Someone have or had the same problem and fixed this?
I've the firmware build MAZE_ALPHA_B_V09_20180307.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm Italian
Thanks for any response.
Have you reset the phone to see if that helped? Before you try that, please, save your important information because you will lost them during the process.
Sometime the screen protector used for the phone can cause slow response if not properly placed on the surface( which, I have noticed in mine and I have to remove it for quick response).
Hi. I havw the same prob. Reset take no results! After 10 times reset Stil same prob.

Hi, i have the some problem. Any solutions? Is it an hardware problem? it is possible to fix it?

So I am in a weird situation. Bought a S21 Ultra 512gb and after 2 months it has now a black screen. I can turn it off holding down power and volume down and it reboots. I can hear the T-Mobile jingle but NOTHING is shown on screen. I have done this multiple times plugged into power and computer... nothing. I can't even recover my data or anything. What can I try to wipe the phone or fix this issue? I really dont want to turn this phone in for a refub.
I plugged it into the computer and Win10 I hear the device bootup on the computer but no hard drive or anything comes up. Any suggestions on how to fix this black screen?
UPDATE: 4/7/2021 it was the screen had samsung replace it at a local auth repair shop.
Try to boot into boot loader mode to see if the screen works before the operating system loads. With the phone off, hold volume up depressed and then press and hold the power button. You should see the phone turn on and display several boot options you can select and choose with the volume and power buttons. If you don’t get anything on the screen at this point, the phone needs to be replaced.
If you turn it off and then turn on does it show the initial splashscreen? If not then that's definitely a display issue and can only be fixed by replacement.
This seems to be a serious issue... 2 people in the India forum are having that issue!
Grazie in anticipo

Your display has konked off...have it replaced ASAP via your provider.
Just a heads up. I took it to a samsung provider and they said it was the screen. They replaced it and it is working fine. Still weird that a 2 month old phone had this issue.
I have the same issue .....my phone went completely blank ....tried to do all the trouble shooting .....my phone was 2 months old and the customer care is not covering it under warranty because there is one scratch and few dots on the rear side of phone ......I dont know what to do ????? they are not covering it under warranty and asking me to pay upwards of rs 20000 for repair ..... I am stuck with such an expensive phone having manufacturing defects.....I dont want to compare but someone I know who owns Oppo had the similar problem and their screen got replaced the next day.... I wonder what support they would give to their flagships phones

Take it to Twitter and Facebook and call out to the Samsung official support accounts. That may get them to listen. Drop in the tweet/post link here and those willing can re-tweet or re-post from their handles to increase it's visibility. That's all I can think of for now...
Have a SM-G991U1 ... regular S21 5G .... Almost 2 months now, with no problems until this afternoon, went to check a notification i overheard and screen suddenly would not come up. could still hear phone working and notofications, and even buttons seemed to respond, but nothing yet.
Now it is later that same night, and phone died, but before it did, i hooked it up to windows 7 pc and it did show up as normal and gave me full access to storage in file manager it appeared, but phone died before i could do anything else. am now wirelessly charging, hoping for the best. *shrugs*
UPDATE: approx 12 hours later. Well i just flashed 7 gigs worth of original firmware onto it with odin, and ...... STILL the black screen of death
UK, S21 ULTRA 128gb. Same issue after 6 months screen completely black/off. Sent back and got a new replacement unit as Samsung had shortage of spare screen to replace the faulty one.

Sounds like a bad production run batch. Hopefully an isolated one rather than a design or systemic manufacturing one.
Either way this is not a good start...
US, S21 Ultra 256gb. Same issue last month, woke up one day and screen was completely dead. Ended up taking the device to a local authorized Samsung repair shop that replaced the display. The phone was about 5 months old, no scratches, drops, nothing, just a defective display.

The real problem will be when one dies out of warranty. Hopefully those defective ones will die young, but it probably be more unpredictable.
Same problem for me here with T-Mobile S21+ 256GB. T-Mobile was willing to send a refurb phone, but wouldn't replace. Said I could contact Samsung under warranty. Samsung is having me take to local UBreakIFix. Luckily, I was able to use a USB hub to get into the phone with a mouse and keyboard while connected to HDMI. Made sure everything was backed up.
Not thrilled about the shop ripping my phone open, but we'll see what they say and do. LOL
S21 Ultra 128GB, CAN. Got it the day it came out from the Samsung store. Woke up to the screen completely black and couldn't get it to show anything after trying all the usual fixes. Took it to a certified Samsung repair shop where the guy told me he already repaired 3 phones this week with the same issue. It will cost nothing to repair since it's still under the year warranty but overall this issue blows.
