Okay, so I just recently flashed to Touch-IT 4.4 by itje, and it's been working great. However, I just softreset my phone and now it's stuck in a boot loop just after finishing with the first splash with the text Touch-IT in silver..
It should probably be said that it reboots by itself, which I don 't think is normal for a bricked phone?
So I'm a bit stuck and don't really know what to do; Is my phone bricked (in which case I'll just have to unbrick it, which isn't a problem since there's a certain good guide that explain how to and I've already used it once), or what's wrong with my phone?
Meh, turns out it's possible to flash it with the hacked installer as well.. So I'm just going to reinstall the phone.
I just have one thing to say to all of you guys doing all this work on the ROM of Herald/Wing:
YOU. ****ING. ROCK. <3

Take out your mSD card while rebooting and your device will start up fine
Is it the card that's doing it? Because I've soft-reset before without problems just fine. <.<
Gaah, I wish I had known that (or waited, but I was in a hurry to get my phone up and running again because I was expecting a call)..
It's not the cards fault. Somewhere here in the forum it was briefly discussed, but I can't find it right now.
It was said, that a certain DLL for SDHC support causes the looping.
It's called something like omap650sdhc.dll or so (you need to find out yourself, should be easy)
and by deleting or renaming it, it should solve the whole problem.
Never tested it myself, but it will not harm your device if you delete/rename that file.
That's the driver for the SD card drive... Depending on the rom you're using, it might be stuck inside the rom so you can't delete the file.
I asked Chikenbull on here to make a program that will rename that Omap file and reboot the device. I haven't tested it yet, but here it is.
Remember to use this AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I've been doing this for the last month to avoid a HardReset. I've been having the boot-loop problem since i installed the HTChomeCustomizerV80 and/or HTCplus, and read about the warning too late: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326689
I've since removed the Today plugins, and the only annoyance remaining are the Backlight adjust function not working, and having to remove the microsd everytime I restart/power-on the Wing.
As I said, I'm trying to avoid a Hard Reset because I have 30+ programs installed and it's gonna take me a few days to reinstall all of them. I searched here with no success... all I found are the same saying "remove microSD at boot", which is what I'm doing, but it's a pain.
Tried GAMBIT999's suggestion, but can't remove omap850sdhc.dll from the \windows\ folder. Would DUPRADEE's suggestion of renaming this file with the program solve the restart-loop problem? Or is there other methods I haven't found, that'll save me the trouble of a Hard reset?
-cheers
edit: PROBLEM SOLVED!! thanks duprade
omap850sdhc.dll couldn't be deleted, but just changing the extension to omap850sdhc.000 solved the problem!!! Now I can restart without taking out the microSD!!! w00t w00t w00t !!!
Check for errors under Windows
One more possibility I forgot to mention which work fine for me.
After having the boot-loop symptom I took out my mSD card and checked it for errors under Windows.
I let Windows fix the errors and everything worked fine afterwards.
The procedure didn't took long even on a non USB2.0 port.
No card removing or file renaming anymore.
Folks having the boot-loop may try this solution out first before renaming/deleting the DLL.
My problem was SOLVED by simply renaming \Windows\omap850_sdhc.dll
It's funny how if you do not know the cause of the problem, SEARCH is useless. But once you find the answer (thanks Gambit999 and Duprade), going back to Search turns up pages of the same question posted over and over.
Anyways, credit goes to Paul at MoDaCo who found the solution on June 26:

Changing to a blank new SD did nothing... but by Renaming the file, the PPC will reload the uncorrupted file from the ROM.

Hi all, I'm running Drizzy's Superlight Hero ROM (no Rosie) on a Vodafone Magic 32B and what I want is to get 5 home screens rather than just 3.
I know Advanced Launcher is capable of this and I have tried several different Launcher.apk's downloaded from various topics here but the phone would not boot with any of them. Only replacing the backed up original would get the phone working again.
So does anyone know of an Advanced Launcher version which will work on this phone & ROM?
Cheers,
Mik
yeah +1 on this one too. I tried pushing the apk but just won't work and just freezes the phone...
only thing Im doing right now is put folders in with apps just to get by. too bad we can change the folder icon for the mean time

Maybe you should try with FreshFace.
Hello,
I have had my xperia for six months now. But suddenly three weeks ago my microphone didnĀ“t work anymore. So I went to the T/mobile shop and they sended it to a repairshop. I got it back a week later and they told me it was a total loss. The original Rom was no longer installed on the phone. I used an update from sony ericsson (found on this site). So they didn't repair it. I took the phone back home and put in my sim. The phone didn't have any reach (excuse me for my english). It did when I got in to the shop, so they did something at the repairshop. So I went back and they sended it back the repairshop with an explanation what happened. And I got it back today and what do you think happened? Indeed, no repair no original software. I got P&#%*ssed and went away.
Does anyone have a clue what these problems can be? Is it a software problem? and can I solve it myself?

Possable Solution?
Hi, i think they didn't fix it it because you must of done a Hard SPL to put a ROM on your X1 from this site. You will need to load the original Rom that came with your phone, and then put the Stock SPL back on your phone.
The links below should help-
Hard SPL to Stock SPL
Within the file that you download, there will be instructions on how to put a hard SPL/ Stock SPL on your X1. Scroll down in the manual and it will tell you how to load the Stock SPL back to your phone.
You will read within the manual that you will need to put the original ROM back on your phone, (the one that was on there the first day you had it).
Information on which ROM is for you can be found here: Original ROMS
You will need to flash a ROM from the "R1A (INITIAL) firmwares" section on to your phone. This needs to be done BEFORE you flash the Stock SPL.
If you get stuck the answers will be in the original post(the links above)
Hope this helps.
Hi there! I am trying to put back on the stock rom (to bring my phone back for warranty cause of the cracks in the phone housing)..
First i tried the hardspl en replace the RUU_Signed.nbh file with the stock file... it works until the phone restarts and gets into the three color screen... then the connection drops en windows gives an error.. the phone freezes.
I tried to use the stock RUU_Signed.nbh also by renaming it to Kovsimg.nbh and putting it on the SD card...
At first it seems to work, but at the loading screen the phone freezes again..
And now... i can't do anything anymore!!! i can reset the phone but it always comes back into the three color screen and tries to load...
PLEASE !! can anyone help me ..... i did some research on this forum, sorry if here is already a post about that i missed....
HELP REALLY NEEDED!
(i really hope somebody can save me and my phone!) Thanks in advance...
Kind Regards from The Netherlands, Michael

You could try flashing back and forth to HardSpl/and Stock
perhaps it will help...
You have to revert to a stock rom and then revert to the stock SPL..
The directions are farely simple..
Read the bottom of this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2710557&postcount=1
I have installed android on my Kaiser (Incubus26Jc_'s Super FroYo RLS15 All Language) and I want to go back to my custom WM ROM, but I've never managed to flash a ROM from the SD card, although I've respected all steps (SD card FAT32 formated, WM ROM renamed as KAISimg.nbh and put on SD root, together with KAISDIAG.nbh, pressed power & camera button and pushed the reset button)... I can get to the 3-color bootloader but for 1 second appears a message (I think is something like "no image file" but I cannot read it because it dissapeared too quickly) and then the word "serial" at the bottom of the 3-color screen, and it remains like this until I make a new reset...
As I cannot use ActiveSync anymore (due to Android OS) and I cannot flash through USB, I have no option now to get back to WM!!!
Could somebody give me an advice how to do it?
Thanks in advance!
...nevermind... I've solve it... just look at this (for others with same problem):

I have to say, this is a great forum, I can find almost always a solution for my problems!
I got the same problem, I flashed a tpc rom (well my brother actually) a while back. And I was never able to load up the bootloader with all the key combinations I can think of
(hard reset, power+camera, batery out and turn on+camera)
I also took a look at the link above me. I couldn't find an answer .
Someone please help me out.
mmh, Is there no1 with a solition to fix this>
I really hate the fact the tpc rom prevented me going into mah bootloader.
