Nightmare.
Got my Diamond today, and charged it up.
It ran out 5 minutes ago, so I plugged it into the mains charger.
It vibrates, shows HTC and then gets stuck in a constant reboot. It's like it gets a little charge, uses it, then restarts the process.
I guess the battery is so dead that even the mains charger cant give it enough boost to start charging.
Help Please
If you only got it today then id be sending it back as it seems to be a faulty unit. Perhaps someone can give you a fix but if it was me, id be demanding a new working unit...you just never know what other faults the phone might have.
Good job I didn't Hard-SPL it straight away.
Damn, Always happens to me.
Are you trying to charge it with the wallcharger or by usb to a computer.
Beacuse if you are doing it by the computer there is an option on the phone that disables charging when conected to the computer.
Good luck dude.
Definately wall charger.
I think it's f(***d
I'll go back to my Kaiser and wait for the Raphael I think.
i would first try to charge the battery device turned off!
i noticed that the led in center button does not blink in the beginning but it should charge!
after a while try a hard reset!
Tried the following:
I cant switch off the device as soon as power is applied via USB it switches on. Tried holding the power button down but nothing.
Tried entering bootloader but same reset loop.
Tried hard reset, gets to grey screen with blue text but then reset loop again.
I tried leaving the battery out for half an hour and trying again but soon as usb is in it powers up and reset loop.
I put a multimeter on the battery and it is dishing out 3.7v as expected.
I think the device is knacked, even though I was using it for most of the day.

Usually a hard reset solves everything (hopefully)

Nope
leave it charging for at least 10 minutes before turning it on.

don't even touch the power button!
the device should not start if you touch nothing and just plug the powercable!?
i don not think that you press the powerbutton accidentally while plugging the cable, i hope i'm right?
Without touching the power button, I plug in the charger and the phone vibrates and starts.
From dead:
1. Plug in charger
2. I get 2 swirls of white on the round button thing
3. Phone vibrates
4. Smart mobility logo shows
5. Phone reboots
GOTO 1:
i miss the touch diamond screening with rom version etc.
normally it shows up before the htc smart mobility screen.
i don't think the battery is the badguy. seems more a fault in ipl or spl?
You're right.
I was wrong when I said smart mobility.
It comes up with TOUCHDiamond across the centre of the screen and right where the little red numbers USUALLY appear in the bottom right, it reboots before that.
To perform a hard reset
1. Pull out the stylus.
2. With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the RESET button with the stylus tip.
3. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until you see message on the screen
4. Release the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset

Sorted!
I left the battery out overnight, and when I came to work this morning, I plugged it into the charger and it didn't automatically start up so it got a good 3/4 hour charge which then enabled me to fire it up for a full charge.
congrats! i hope for you that this problem doesn't come back!
Sounds to me like it also could have been the power button was jammed pushed in. Maybe leaving it for a while without pushing the button did the trick, allowing it to release itself.
In case that was the problem, keep an eye on the power button in case it seems to be a bit dodgy. If it is going to do it again, then you want to swap it immediately for a replacement brand new unit. After a while, if you try to swap it out, they will give you a refurbished unit, not a brand new one!
Of course it could have just been a software bug, that was cleared by letting it fully power down (as others have said).
Just make your decision quick before you end up with a refurbished model for replacement.
Just to let you all know.
Over the weekend I fully charged my Diamond, and without even making a phone call or using WiFi, Bluetooth or anything the battery lasted 1.5 hours.
It's gone back to clove now for a replacement.
I've seen a few people having this issue so I advise getting it back for replacement asap.
My diamond got very hot during normal use (without charger). Is that normal? Not the battery but the actual device.
So last night I powered off my Diamond, and now today it will no longer turn on. No sign of charging when it's plugged in either (no light). I can't do a soft reset, hard reset or start the boot loader.
Is there any way to treat this without being forced to send it in?
Thanks
Hello
when i upgrading my PDA2K i've Safely Removed the usb flash memory, then the upgrading [stuck] i tried to reset the device but the screen showing nothing, it looks like it's turned off,
any idea to back my device to the life
thanks
try to Hard reset the device first with the press and hold the power button the camera recorded the same time and then reset, if steps are not helpful try to take the battery + SIM Card from the device and wait a few minutes then replace the battery, insert it into bootloader mode and try to reflash
Dear Hakim
the Device is turned off, when i press the power button, nothing happen
any idea
thanx
What have you checked battery ??
battery is full
Good afternoon,
I'm facing a problem on my colleague's LG L90 phone, it suddenly started to bootloop and nothing seems to solve the problem.
The only way to turn it off is to remove the battery, but as soon as you put it back (be it instantly after removing it or after any period of time) the phone turns on and starts to bootloop again, so there's no "turn it off and turn on again pressing x buttons". The bootloop lasts about 10 seconds before it restarts the process.
When I connect it to my PC with the battery nothing changes, and the PC doesn't recognize the device, as it reboots before the PC can see it. Plugging it without the battery shows a screen with an empty battery for some seconds and then it reboots, showing that screen again.
I tried to enter recovery mode, emergency mode and fastboot mode without success. Plugging the phone on the PC or placing the battery while pressing vol -, vol +, both or any with the power button simply has no effect on the phone, it just keeps bootlooping.
The phone model is LG-D410hn, and it doesn't have unlocked bootloader, root or anything similar, it has everything stock.
Does anyone know what I can do to try to save it?
Hard reset is volume- & power pressed for a short moment, letting both keys go and instantly pressing both again. Solved my bootloop problem.
Hey guys,
I've got a M7 that is stuck bootlooping. It's fully stock, absolutely untouched and of course out of guarantee time
The phone started the behavior after running out of battery.
The phone does start automatically when connected to power source and shows the htc logo and then vibrates and the cycle begins. The touch buttons do not light up.
I can get into boot menu, though I'm unable to select any of the options as the phone quickly reboots again. The led is neither alight nor blinking when connected to power.
The phone doesn't show reaction to any button/light combination when not connected to power. I've tried the following combinations:
power+up 2min
power+down 2min
power+up+down+light 15sec
So anything else i can try?
