"Phone not ready -wait 15 seconds"

Hi all,
First post on this great site - keep up the good work!
I have an issue with my MDA Compact II - I've recently sacked my T-Mobile contract, and have a work contract with Orange, which I now use (I've used Lokiwiz to unlock the phone). Unfortunately my Orange SIM doesn't fully work on my MDA. I can make/receive calls with no problems, but whenever I try to send a text message, the following dialogue pops up:
"The phone is not ready. Wait 15 seconds and try again."
Well, I could wait for 15 hours and it wouldn't change. I've removed the battery, and left that for an hour, still no difference. I've recently upgraded my ROM to see if that would make a difference - no joy. My current version:
ROM - 2.6.2.27 WWE
Any help would be appreciated - I'm having to use an exceedingly boring Nokia 6021 at the moment! I don't really want to resort to just using my MDA as a PDA! Cheers - let me know if you need further information to answer my question.

Worked for me.
Aparently, the SIM's used in a M3100 are designed specifically for these devices and later. Thats the official line from Orange...Just spoke to them for 45 minutes trying out 5 different devices and they have concluded its a "compatability issue"
I was using an M3100 SIM in an M600...although it DOES work in an E650...
Hope this helps!

Major bug with french Bouygues Telecom

Hello,
I went to my store to buy a Tytn II Fr (Azerty keyboard).
Luckily, they warned me there was a pb with some mobile operators. SFR (vodaphone) was said to be OK, but not Bouygues neither Orange.
The bug? everything works allright, you can place calls. But whenever you receive an incoming call, the phone reboots...
I went on the internet and found some posts telling the same.
The vendor told that HTC was freaking and that 10 HTC technicians came to try and find the reason. No luck this far.
They don't know if a ROM update would suffice.
I do wonder how a SIM can damage in such a way a device working great with the great majority of operators.
Anyone has a clue?
Have a good one.
seems right:

TyTN II radio problem

I noticed the following with my HTC TyTN II.
When I perform a soft-reset, and "logon" to my KPN provider, I can make outgoing phone calls. BUT I can't be called for about 15 minutes.
People who call me are redirected to my voice mail. After about 15 minutes they can call me.
I tried this with my Vodafone SIM card, but I could'n reproduce the problem with my Vodafone SIM, it happens only with my KPN SIM.
When I put my KPN SIM into my Samsung E900, I also don't have this problem. Anyone any ideas, what can be the problem?
I had this problem with Telfort on my old phone (I-Mate Jam) but a.t.m with HTC TyTN II I have no problem.
You could best contact KPN and request them to send your phone the phone settings for KPN. I requested mine from Telofrt and it worked al tho the TyTN II had automaticly installed the settings of Telfort.

I've run the automatic connection setup, and set it up for KNP. After my latest hard reset I cancelled this setup. (I think this is what you mean?)
But did didn't solve the problem. Would it make a difference when I call KPN to receive the settings?

Hmz that could help. As I said it worked on my I-Mate Jam. But the funny thing is I bought my I-Mate Jam from Dubai and I-Mate has a english and a arabic ROM so I had the arabic one, that's why I needed the settings.
I bought my HTC Tytn II from dubai. But the ROM is english and it had the settings originaly.
So try it

Help!! Error message and sim problem....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Help!! I have a Kaiser through O2 UK which is known as an O2 XDA Stellar. I didn't actually use the phone much yesterday but did send my boyfriend a text at about 1.30 which he got. When I later checked my phone at about 7pm, I noticed that it had no reception so just turned it off and on again - when the Windows Mobile screen came up, I then got an error box saying "Phone not allowed mm #6". I restarted again and soft reset a few times, but no luck. I then thought that I might as well do a hard reset...that worked fine but still getting the error message and no reception!
Decided to ring o2 who were very helpful (bless them!) and got me to do all the stuff I had already tried...no reception and still the same error. I then tried a vodafone and orange sim in my phone which both worked no error!! A ha we all thought - it must be the sim!...Off I trundle at 8pm last night to our local shopping centre to pick up a new sim...got sim back, put it in phone wait for it to be activated and then the same error and no reception!! Both o2 sims work in another phone :-( Have no decided that my phone hates o2 sims for some reason :-( Have phone O2 this morning and they need to send my phone off to be repaired...I can have another phone from o2 on loan if i pay a deposit!...
Does anyone know of anything I can try before I resort to sending my baby off to some far away o2 land??? :-(
xx

[Q] Emergency calls only

Hello friends, how are you?
My name is Renato and I'm from Brazil. Some weeks ago I bought a Galaxy Note N7000 unlocked by TIM operator. It comes with
android 4.0.3 and I never updated the android or did any hacks.
Well, until yesterday, everything was fine. But yesterday, when the phone starts, it find the operator's signal but after some seconds it enter on the
emergency calls only status. Also, even it's blocked for emergency calls only, I can use the internet 3g without a problem! Very very strange...
I already checked my sim card and It works on my older nokia without a problem. Also, I put another sim from another operator (Oi operator) and it works without a problem too. Also I check my sim status at my operator and it´s unblocked too. I did a factory reset too and nothing changes...
Looks like my galaxy note cannot work with TIM sims anymore?
Please if somebody have an idea about this error, please let me know.
