New battery reboot loop - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hello,
I have bought a new battery (Cameron Sino, Model No: CS-TP4550HL 2800mAh) for my Kaiser. I plugged in the charging-cable, orange LED turned on and my Kaiser started fromself in ca 5-8 seconds. Then I see the bootlogo, the LED is off now, and a few seconds later the Kaiser reboot. With my old original battery the Kaiser is booting fine. I have tried different radio's ( 1.70.18.02 and 1.71.09.01) and i tried this with wm 6.0 and wm 6.1 but there is the same error. I hope someone can help me....

Im looking to find a 2nd battery for my kaiser too.. But as i know original only 1350mh? I think the 2800 is not original on the market. Maybe is the battery problem..

Yes, it's not an original battery. What kind of battery have you tried? I think so too, that only original batterys are working. Is here anyone who tried a different battery for kaiser?

Bettery/rom problem?

Hi everyone
So I have the battery problem-it`s not charging!
at start it showed all the time that it`s charging-eaven when it was unplugged!
so I searched and disabled the usb charging, through registry.
But then started another problem-it shows that it`s connected to wallcharger and so,and it shows it`s charging, and how full the battery is...BUT!
it`s all fake! it shows 100% but after few mins dies!It only charges and holds the power normaly only when i charge it through differient methods-with just ac adapter(just two wires-my brothers electrician so he knews how to..).
but it`s not the batterys fault-I just bought a new one.
So-what could be the problem, any ideas?
thanks and have a nice day
P.S.
I got it used.its G4
the info, that i found in it was:
ROM version:2.17.7.2 WWE
Radio version:02.07.10
So do you think that rom updeite could fix it?
I'm betting on hardware problem; maybe charging IC's or something but it's easier to just try a Hard-reset or flash a new ROM to see if it goes away. Only problem is battery must be over 50% to complete the upgrading
so which rom could be the best to upgrade to?
First get the battery fully charged somehow,it won't complete the rom flash if its below 50%,then download the official stock rom and flash it.

Battery charge impossible

Hi,
I have diamond (MDA/HTC Victor), and I just bought new battery (replacement, not cheap, 1000mAh), and my diamond says 'battery unknown' and does not start to recharge it. I tried changing rom from original 1.93...WM6.1 to 2.00... and WM6.5, and radio - still battery fails to recharge. Same battery in different MDA (1.37...) is recognized and could be recharged...
In my diamond I can recharge only htc batts..
Pls help me to unlock this feature/bug ...
thx

Battery not recognized and will not charge

I have searched the Internet and forums for days and can't find a solution to my problem. I have found a few with the same problem, but no solutions. Please help!
I have a Sprint HTC Touch Diamond 6950SP (DIAM500) running the original ROM. A few months ago and for no apparent reason, it stopped recognizing the battery and stopped accepting a charge. I haven't messed with the phone in any way or attempted to load a new ROM. The Power Status screen simply shows, "Main battery: Unknown". Plugging the phone in with the supplied charger will actually discharge the battery and the circular LED does not come on. I tried several soft and hard resets; then I downloaded and flashed the ROM with the one from the Sprint web site (WM 6.1 Professional 5.2.20764/Build 20764.1.4.3), but nothing seemed to help. I found that I could get the battery to charge by removing the battery (with the phone plugged into the charger) and then putting it back in. When the circular LED flashes twice, I remove the battery and wait till it flashes two more times, and then put the battery back in. This takes many attempts, and eventually the LED continues to flash and will charge the battery. I did this for a long time while I searched for a solution, and one day, it just started working again!!! The phone worked great for several months and suddenly, it has started doing the same thing again.
I decided to upgrade to WM 6.5 and downloaded all the necessary applications, (many thanks to XDA and friends). But, when I attempted to flash my ROM, it stopped and indicated that my battery was too weak - even though I new it had a full charge, (see battery status, above). I've checked the battery with a multimeter, therefore, I know it has a full charge. I don't have any other problems with the phone, nor do I have any problems with it sincing to my computer. I have since ordered a new battery, but it hasn't arrived yet. Someone please help.
Thanks.
I have read at other posts that the Diamond's battery has a recognition chip in it. Also, without the battery, it will not run from the charger. Could the chip in the battery be bad? Has anyone else had this problem?
Is there a registry fix (or tweak) for the battery status? Please, one of you must know something about this.
Got my new battery - the phone does not power up, charge or anything else with the new battery. I tried charging the new battery with the method I've tried before, (see above), but it won't even light the circular LED. I checked the new battery with a multimeter, and it shows it has 3.7 volts. Now what? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have tried other cables and chargers, but none have helped. Last time my phone started working properly, I had plugged it in to my computer, but that hasn't happened this time. Thanx for your comments - keep 'em coming.
I purchased a new charger/docking station for my phone and spare battery. It wouldn't charge my phone or the new battery I purchased either. The new battery still will not work in my phone - paper weight! The charger does charge my old battery, though. Does anyone know if you can run a Touch Diamond from the USB/charging cable without the battery installed? Mine won't, but I was wondering if it should.

Thanks, Krzynate! I tried that already, many times now, (see my first post in this thread). Thanks anyway and please keep the posts coming.
I had the same problem.. I ended up buying a new battery and it wouldn't charge in my phone. So I ordered an external charger from EBAY for 10$. My new battery is charging so It might be the solution you are looking for.
Thank you so much for posting! As I wrote previously,
(I purchased a new charger/docking station for my phone and spare battery. It wouldn't charge my phone or the new battery I purchased either. The new battery still will not work in my phone - paper weight! The charger does charge my old battery, though.), this did not fix my problem. The vender that sold me the new (bad) battery is sending me another one - hopefully, it will work this time.
It's Fixed!!!
I wrote the Internet store where I purchased the non-working battery. They sent me another battery and now it's fixed!!! The battery indicator and status all recognize the new battery! Apparently, there is a recognition chip in the battery; the original battery's chip's software became corrupted, and the other "new" battery's chip was blank. The original battery still works, (as long as I charge it with the external charger), and still has an unrecognized status in WM 6.1. Please pass this info on to others that have simular problems. Thanx XDA!

HTC HD2 (o2) extended battery (anyone got it, really need help)

Has anyone brought the extended battery for there 02 HTC HD2 phone. i have just brought mine, and i cant get the thing to charge up in my phone. i have tried using the battery in my mates phone and it works fine no problem, its charges up using both our leads, but as i soon as i put it in mine, it doesn't charge, and i get a orange then green light flash every 3 secs.
Firstly i want to know if anyone else has the extended battery working in there phone??
and secondly after speaking to HTC, they said try doing the rom update and see if that works, if not then it may be a case the o2 branded phones cannot charge the phone due to software etc. is that even possible??
any Help is much appreciated,
kind regards
Shane
Funny you should mention this Shane, last week I bought the extended battery with kickstand cover and had the same "unable to charge" problem with the lights flashing green and amber.
I've sent the battery back and should get a replacement in the next day or two.
I've also upgraded to the latest stock O2 ROM from HTC's site in the mean time, so I'll let yo know how I get on when the new battery comes (it had better be here before the end of the week as I'm away for 2 weeks, hence the need for the battery!).
Of course if the new battery works, then I won't be able to say if the ROM fixed it or not, but it'd be worth applying it anyway if the battery does work.
i am at this exact moment doing the update as we speak, so i will be able to tell you if that works, but i cant see how o2 branded phone could really stop the device from using the extended battery, because after being on the phone to a very helpful guy at HTC he did say if this doesn't work, then it could be that 02 have done something to stop the extended battery from charging. but i cant see how, and see if its even possible, software blocking hardware from charging??
Edited, oh i forgot to mentioned i tried the exact same battery in my mates phone, which is bog standard HTC not branded, and it worked fine in his phone, charged no problem with both my cables and his, but as soon as i tried it in mine, it didn't work. so that would suggest that maybe its the o2 branded phones??
Woop woop it works, i have no idea why, but updating the ROM made it work. So it was never the battery it was the phone, im so happy I've been trying for the last 2 weeks non stop trying to get the thing to work or find out why it wasn't working but its all charging fine now =]
That's a really interesting one!
I do have a laptop at home where the battery will only charge until Windows starts, then it stops charging, so software can affect the ability to charge.
Definitely one for the hints and tips section!
Pesky O2 eh?
It could be that their modification of the ROM messed up the charging tables or whatever is used to work out how much charge is left in the battery, and the latest ROM fixes this.
Just off the top of my head, could it be that with a certain charge rate, it expects the battery to fill up at a set rate, and with it being twice the capacity it's charging half as quickly so throws up an error?
So the phone is saying "I know I'm getting 1A in, so the battery should be at 40%, 44%, 48%, 52%, but hang on, it's actually at 40%, 41%, 42%, something's wrong, best start flashing those lights!"
no problems with my extended battery on my o2 hd2 although.the last time it ran a stock o2 rom was about 2 weeks after i got it and that was in november LOL.
I have exactly the same problem. Lights are flashing and after about 15 hrs of continuous charging the battery state said 85%. I have contacted HTC support but no reply yet. Phone is O2 branded unlocked to all networks.
It's a documented issue with the HD2 and older ROMS. Please update your roms to the latest builds available or go the cutom rom route and it'll work like it's supposed to.

BTW, this needs to be in the Accessories section.

Two threads for the same problem? You could have just bumped the other one.
Thank you man! I have done the upgrade and everything works as it should. I also received a reply from HTC support saying to return tha battery to my retailer and buy a different one... So they obviously don't have a clue..
Looking for a Ext battery with a regular cover
any with 1400 or 1500 - usa site
thanks
