I have a problem with my Xperia, sometimes it crashes just when I close it (slide back the keyboard).
It's very boring, anyone has the same problem, and eventually a solution ?
By the way I think it doesn't crash when i slide it slooooowly.

If closing it slowly change the behaviour, in my mind it means it's an hardware issue.
But before sending it back to SE, try doing a hard reset (save your data before and try to reinstall only your contacts and PIM data first, and if the problem is solved, try to install one software after each other until you find the one who create the problem).

I tried many hard reset as I flashed my X1 so it won't resolve it.
But I'll be careful next time I start from scratch.
I don't really want to send it back to SE...
I'm having the same problem now. Did you find any solution to this problem and if what did you do?

I know this is my first post here but I've done my best to search the forums and I haven't found anything that looks like it helps me.
I just got my AT&T Tilt yesterday. It came unlocked (I'm using it with T-Mobile) and has an HTC ROM installed as well as various other apps (Ms. Pacman, TomTom 6, SuperDoku, etc.). I had some issues with it locking up yesterday (similar to what I'm experiencing now but to a much, much lesser degree) when I was playing around with it but those issues somehow corrected themselves.
This morning I installed the Tilt keyboard fix that TaurusBullba posted on here back in June to fix some mapping issues. Since I installed and soft reseted, everything has been going kinda haywire. The Wi-Fi turned itself off and I can't turn it back on. When I slide out the keyboard the orientation stays in portrait mode. When I try to shut down the phone using the power button it hangs forever. Now, actually, half the time I press the power button nothing happens at all.
I've tried uninstalling the CAB but that didn't fix anything at all. I'm afraid to try a hard reset because, from my understanding, I'm going to lose everything that came pre-installed on my phone for me. I should probably also add that last night I installed the Google Maps CAB with no problems whatsoever. Is there some simple solution I'm overlooking? Thanks much!
I would advise that if you have tried soft resets to try and resolve the issues and it hasn't worked, then perhaps a hard reset?
It sounds as if the software you have installed as either caused the problems or exacberated them (ie made them worse).
With hard reset it wipes everything back to when you got it. If you are able I would suggest that you plug it into the computer and make sure ActiveSync backups up your contents. You may also want to use this get all the files on the main memory either to the storage card or to you're PC.
As this is yo're first post I don't know how au fait you are with the above that I have mentioned
The preloaded apps will be reloaded again. You won't have an empty ROM if you do a hard reset. It will be as if you just flashed the ROM again.
Thanks for the replies guys. I went ahead and did a hard reset and it looks like the only thing I lost (or at least the only thing I miss) was TomTom. I've already reinstalled that using a link I found on here, and everything seems to be good to go.
I still have no idea what might have caused the problems though, so I'm afraid that they might come back or I might repeat some dumb mistake I made. I guess I'll just have to live with that for now.
clear storage / hard resets no big deal, just expect to do it every other week while you're finding all the cabs that work (or dont work) for you..
I generally clear storaged every week when i first got my tilt until I found all the app's I liked that didn't have side effects
today，I install a software "TMTCP" for video ,and I reset my kaiser.then the kaiser reset ,reset ,reset,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,till I unplug the battery. I flash the offical version,OK,but kaiser also reset,reset.what happen for my phone.help me ,thanks
happened to me too... hard reset will solve the problem but you'll lost all the valuable software installed...

hard reset supposed bring back the setting to the original factory setting... in your case might be advisable to ask help from the expert... sorry can't help

I've recently installed the Core Media Player??? used it once or twice I believe then it crashed and wouldnt work anymore. I uninstalled it a day or two ago. Today my screen keeps freezing every few minutes after a soft reset ... it appears to have resolved it self for now but I'd like to know what happened.....

I am facing this problem today, when i open my sms on my touch diamond, instead of the normal screen i got a blank sreen with just "send" and "Menu" appearing at the bottom of the screen. I tried soft reset, took out the sim card and still same thing happen. Anyone experience this before and could u share how u managed to solve the problem.
the SMS is corrupted.........i got these problem and i hard reset it,then it was back to normal again.....
I solved my problem after browsing htcwiki, seem like the problem is cause by CE-Star. After i uninstall CE-Star, the problem gone already. BTW CE-Star is a chinese word software.

okok.....i had the CE-Star software but nvr had the problem....will take note of it...
A strange thing is happening to my phone....
when i restart my phone it shows launching touch flo...
but it never starts....
I get it working when I format the phone but it again fails to start when I load the contacts & messages from PIM backup
using original ROM version 1.35

i having the similar problem.
mine VIVA(aka OPAL) cannot be launched. it always show "touch flo launching" but somehow it shows no reponses. After hard reset, it will back to normal.
hope any masters from forum could help up as i not willing 2 hard reset every encounter this problem.

After research on this issue, i had found the root cause for this problem.
This problem caused by the restoration of backup message from backup pim.
for my case, my backup has 2000++ messages, when i tried to restore them to the VIVA that i had just refresh the rom. Then the M2D will reflect freaky damn slow. at last, i realized that M2D couldn't be loaded due to the 2000++ messages.
Conclusion: delete unwanted messages occassionally, it will relief some heavy loading for message display in M2D.

Hy everybody. Since the data base showing similar threads and my own forum search did not come to the issue I´m having, I´m writing this in the hope someone may have an idea on my problem and help out. Hope you do.
Since I´m having trouble receiving sms from a specific number, and only that number -as far as I know- the thing started with not receiving two sms in a row. Now it happens with all kinds. 1, 2 or 3 sms in a row. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don´t. Sometimes making a nandroid restore gets them back, sometimes don´t. I see on google that many have had the same or similar issues. That is one point I´m having.
The other even more weird is that lately, whenever I nandroid restore my Milestone, ALL of the late installed apps still appear on the phone, untouched... It appears as if system settings remains the latest I had before the restore, plus what the restore had on the time the backup was made. Same happens with factory reset. Whenever I do a factory reset from the phone settings or from the recovery menu it happens the same thing. Installed apps do NOT go away as they use to weeks ago... It is the most weird thing I´ve had happening on this particular phone.
And man, as if this wasn´t enough, the sms problem is a real pain in the ass. Weeks ago a factory reset just did the trick. Weeks later the phone started evidencing the same problems. And now the factory reset is not doing what it was suposed to...
Really starting to get annoyed with Android. I started enjoying it at first, but I´m starting to see that, as time goes by, the platform easily revolves into some kind of a new bug... Frustrating stuff!.
Anyone has got any idea out there as what might be happening, and how to go about trying to solve the issue?
Any help, same experiences and ideas are very much apreciated.
