Hi guys,
I just received mine yesterday and was wondering if anyone else had any joy getting the free 18 months co-pilot subscription that the first 10,000 customers were supposed to receive? Mine just states 7 day free trial.
I'm thinking of sending it back and waiting for the vario v
cheers,
Mickey
Don't think anyone has got the 18month version yet ... customer service don't know anything about it
On the T-Mobile site it claims this offer starts in July and only applies to 18 month contracts with a miminum 50 pounds tariff.
The June magazine (which has the Compact V in it, even though its not available yet from a shop) says in the small print that the 18month sat nav will be included for ALL contracts before the 31st July. Guess that also means after the 8th when it is formally released. Might send mine back and re order then.

Hi All,
Please could people add a quick post for the deals/upgrades they got through T-mobile (UK).
I have the £16 half-price for life Web'n'Walk 18 month that expired in June.
T-mobile offered £220 for phone and keep existing tariff or £80 for phone and Flex 35- Web'n'Walk for £37.50 for 12months. The T-mobile guy said he would ring back Friday as the new customer deals were not available yet, but he would be able to offer the same - I must say he was really trying to plug Web'N'Walk Plus!! I take the view £220 is cheaper than a SIM free £450?
Cheers Ody
they have to give you a subsidised price over the sim free price really dont they...
im on flext 35 with WnW and a 25% discount and got the vario III for £80 (they originally said £100 but did a "trade up?"
it'll eventually be a free upgrade as all phones are when they've been out for a while.
funnily enough Tmob wanted £240 for the varioII when my upgrade came around (according to the options on My Tmobile) which i thought was rip off-tastic!
I have two business lines with T-Mobile both on the Flext25 plan. I got two phones for free (one per line) on an 18 month contract. Also, both Flext25 plans benefit from a lifetime 25% discount. I don't have W&W though am thinking of it but often use all the Flext25 allowance and often spend a bit more (but not enough for the next Flext upgrade).
Got both of my phones upgraded for free on Flext25+W&W. Business contract though.
I got a free upgrade (getting it delivered tommorow morning). I am on Flex35 web n walk however only pay £15 / month rental as my mate works for T-Mobile. Only thing is I am tied to an 18 month contract which doesnt bother me as I am pleased with the service. I am so happy I never purchased that stooopid iPhone last week.
Before i got my Vario III i had a Vario I on T-Mobile and i was on a Flext 25 + WnW and i never paid above the monthly tarrif cost. I got an upgrade to the Vario III on a Flext 25 + WnW Plus tarrif and the hamdset was free! I was amazed so i said yes please straight away!

Wow that sounds like a really good deal.
I've been waiting for the Vario III for a long time now. I'm currently on Flex 35 with WNW and hardly ever use all my minutes.
They have only offered me the same as the OP, basically £100 upgrade even on 18 month contract.
How did you manage to get your handset free? Becausethere are no other providers at the moment with this phone, im finding it hard to negotiate a better deal.

I'm on the same tariff and was offered the same price 4 times. I'm waiting until it's on the website... I've been told it should come down in price then
Leaving Orange so new customer to T-Mobile with no history, paid £139 for Vario III on a Flext 25 + WnW Plus
Paul
I got a new contract with TMobile as a new customer. I paid £59.95 for the phone on an 18month contract Flext-35 Web n' Walk plus (£42.50/month). I ordered over the phone and managed to get the 'web-exclusive' free weekend calls deal as well.
I was originally with o2 (7years) and they offered me £100 credit and a £15/month 12-month contract (1500 off peak calls and 500 texts). Adding onto that the price of an unlocked tytn2 and o2 data-bolton.
Although tmobile and the cost of staying with o2 were roughly the same price over 18months I got far more for my buck with tmobile.

Yeah, same here - I was told to wait until they can match the web.
I've got to admit it's very annoying how they offer better deals to entice 'new' customers... I won't feel happy until I get a better deal than the £100 (even considering I was willinging to upgrade to WNW+ also.)
It seems even some of the guys on flex £25 can get the phone at £80
quetion is when the **** witht this be -m the ''being able to match the web'' thing?
I turned down WnW+ flext 25 & handset for £80 for this stupid wait!!!!
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I've just been on the phone to T-Mobile and got the following prices:
Flext 25 £209.99 180 minutes 12 Months
Flext 20 £169.99 ??? minutes 18 Months
Flext 25 £149.99 300 minutes 18 Months
All of these were Flext with Web'n'Walk standard, as a new customer.
Could I do better? The Flext 20 looks like the best deal at the moment...
yeah wait till the web deals come out.... thats what t mob are telling us all...
Reading on this forum I seen some people have this cheaper. What have they offered for Flex 30 and WNW+ ? (bearing in mind there is a £5 discount if thats still on, for new customers)
@ Digimortal
I am on a business account so maybe they offered me the handset with no upgrade price because of that? I don't know mut i was phone teh guy a few times asking laods of questions so h eknew i was interested i kept umming and ahhh ing and i was telling him that i wanted it with a black case but t-mobile only do it in silver so i kept asking questions and stuff and he said to me we can do you the handset for free. so i said yes straight away!!!
Personally, I would like to go for the Flext20 ie £20 then add the Web'n'Walk Plus for a further £12.5 = £32.5 then ask for the £5 discount, so paying £27.5 per month (for 12 or 18 months) and get the phone for under £100 - The guy I talked to was Stuart, who said he would ring me back on Friday?? and hopefully be able to tell me what the new customer deals would be that he could match...
the website is now advertising 25% of flext tarrifs. so pissed i baught mine 2 3 days a go. aw well i got my phone.

Looking at it its 'upto 25%' off and only on selected tarifs. The tariff I got is still the same price.

I hate it when that happens. You could always t-mobile CS on 150 and threaten to return the phone under the 14 day money back guarantee unless they honour the reduced price for your contract. They will probably do it to avoid the hassle and paperwork!
At worst if they don't go for it, send it back, cancel the contract and start a new one at the new 25% off price - you know it makes sense!!
Confirmed. Just poped in yesterday to T-Mobile on Princess St., Edinburgh, asked for it and manager just took out one from under the counter.
In his opinion i signed the first contract in the UK (been in the shop at 7pm, stock arrived at 6pm) but I doubt it .
So for £100-handset, 12months contract, £20/monthly this toy is mine.
!!!!!!
That is ridiculous pricing!! I wonder how fast I can get up to Edinburgh...
Just been on the T-Mobile website, and they seem to be in the process of updating a few things... and the Vario II has gone missing from the list of available phones, so it looks like the Vario III may be coming!
Think they started shipping last Wednesday if you phoned them up. I phoned on Thursday, got mine Friday.
First contract in the country indeed
Me too, phoned Thursday, got mine first thing Friday 26th.

Heh, I've had mine since last Saturday! Some have had theirs since last Thursday, so that store manager is a week behind the times!
Sigh....
Did we really need yet another thread about T-Mobile availability....?
Anyway, give it a few more hours and the place will be flooded wit AT&T Tilt..
To be fair though, most of the other posts in the threads about T-Mobile are relating to upgrades, and no-one has really said a lot about pricing and contracts etc. I'm on O2 at the minute, but I like the look of Web 'n Walk and obviously am very interested in the Vario III, so I'm keen to hear what kind of prices new customers are looking at. I also want to be able to walk into the store and take a look at the handset, or order online, where most of the other posts (if not all) involve customer service phone calls.
Well, I got mine through Scancom. Ordered last Friday, £0 for the phone, on the Flext 35 package with 1gb WnW at £37.50 for 18 months.
Hi, Do any one knows when it will be launching on t-mobile uk. Any idea my upgrade is due, but t-mobile UK do not have any clue about this mobile and some of them do even know about it.
End of july i heard.

Hi
What are the best deals that people have come across for the diamond?
Phone4u is looking pretty good:
http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?ItemKey=211228
well phones4u are getting their stock next wednesday, although they seemed pretty clueless about the tariffs despite it being on their website for pre-order.
Mobiles2YourDoor now listing it...
They've got better deals than Phones4U...
http://www.mobiles2yourdoor.co.uk/OfferSelector.asp?ITK=1&ItemKey=211228&NetKey=4&HandsetKey=211228
Weird as they're actually both part of the same group....
In any event neither have it in stock now and both are saying they will have it in stock on Wednesday 9th...
I'm very tempted but have some reservations:
- Are they selling an unlocked HTC phone or the Orange version? (I think the latter)
- Is there a difference in weight between the Orange & T-mob version?
- Do you definitely get 500MB anytime web browsing included in 18 month Orange contracts?
I've just ordered from m2yd.
Part of the offer was £210 cashback (more than phones 4u) and unlimited internet and texts - again not offered on phones 4 you on the same contract.
Orange are offering unlimited anytime internet browsing on some tariffs, but not all.
Also, if you join up at www.quidco.com , then you will get commision/cashback for taking up a new contract with selected providers - £60 from phones4u and £55 from m2yd. This is paid about 1 month after the contract starts
In all, over 18 months it will cost me £20.28 per month

I found that the 'you'll get it all next month' turned into a 'zero' bill for the first couple of months until it was paid up ....
How lucky am I today? I'm going to pick up a brand new HTC Diamond (T-Mobile Compact 4) for free.
Back in january I was told my upgrade for the Diamond would be £175.
I currently have the MDA Compact 3 (HTC P3300) which I still kinda favour over the diamond or any new phone mainly because of the roller ball and wheel which I've gotten used to. My P3300 has a rebooting problem during calls so I rang HTC support today and they said it could be serviced if it's still under the 2 year warranty. I found out my warranty expires on the 15th so that's lucky! So I needed a phone to use while it'll be at HTC in milton keynes and was just gonna go and buy some cheapo phone from argos. I rang T-Mobile and enquired on the current price of the Compact 4 (HTC Diamond) thinking it would still be about £175. They tell me it's discontinued and they're awaiting the diamond 2 (MDA compact 5). That would cost me about £80 but the compact 4 would be free but none in stock. So I rang a couple of T-Mobile shops and one shop has 1 in stock! So I'm going to pick it up now and it's free. \o/ Then I'll send my Compact 3 to HTC, and that will be free service too.
So, drinks are on the house. Order anything you like
Good stuff mate.
Just remember that you are entering into a new contract, most likely 18 months. Do try and negotiate a discount on your line rental, mobile companies are desperate for custom with the credit crunch!
Also, get them to chuck in web n walk for free if you can.
Actually, my nephew works for T-Mobile and I've had an employee call half price discount for years. So I pay £15 a month for web 'n walk and flex 25 package which is 5 hours free talk time (or £60 allowance). I never make enough calls to go over my 5 hours, or very very rarely. I told you I was lucky, lol.
Yep, I've always had an 18 month contract. I rang HTC again and they said if there are scratches or dents on the old phone they may not honour the warranty and mine has small dents in each corner. Actually, T mobile told me my warranty is 24 months, till 15th june, but HTC just told me that the manufacturers warranty is 27 months, giving me till 14th august. Anyway, I think a new battery from amazon.co.uk may solve my P3300 problems.
Ahhhhh yes. The old, and the new.
