Hi !
I'm going on holidays in a few days, and I'd like to know how to disconnect everything execpt phone & sms. I don't want my phone to check mails, weather & finance and paid a lot for roaming there things.
Thanx for answer.
Olivier.
I usually do this by switching the default network to ISP or company.
Others use a tool called "nodata", which I never used.
I do it this way:
Go to the Settings (full-settings, not the TF3D).
Connections / Connections / Advanced / Choose Networks
Change the first entry to ISP or Company-Network.
Maybe the wording is slightly different in english, I dont know, because my device is set to German.
regards thorsten
Thanx for helping me Thorsten.
have a nice day.

Hi All - I've just been abroad with my new Kaiser. Anyone know how to switch off the message that pops up everytime I log onto to pocket outlook that says 'You are currently roaming and this may incur extra charges..' (or words that are something like that)
Thanks
Steve
Go to: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\
And add this there:
ShowRoamWarning
Value: DWORD:0
do you also know how to disable the roaming message when you have a MANUAL network setup?
So in other words, when i travel to another country, it shows me CONSTANTLY a popup/list of avaible networks... until i select one... I always need to click on cancel
IT SUX!
I hope this registry is avaible , i didnt had this problem on my previous WM5 mobile....

Hi everybody, right now I try to set up the HTC Diamond for my father, so far so easy .
I just have one major (and one minor) problem:
Is there a way to forbit the Diamond to go online at all? Right now, when you by chance hit the weather button, he just starts to establish a data connection. The Diamond is not supposed to go online at all over the normal cell phone network (probably over WLAN, but that is not important). Is there a way to disable that, or at least ask if you want to go online?
And the minor problem/question, is there a way to configure which buttons are on the bottom? E.g. he doesn't need to have E-Mail there.
Thanx a lot for your help , and I hope, I haven't overlooked a thread with the awsers .
Try remove the grps settings in settings \ connections \ connections \ manage connections. It should't connect if it does't have a connections to use
Use TF3D Config to remove tabs. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405749
I removed mail, internet and contacts myself.
or try 'NO DATA' its a cab file in artemis section, you can select and deselect real easy
Thanx a lot for the quick help. TF3D and deleting the connection did the job . I will use NoData.cab for my self, as soon as the HTC Touch pro is out and in my hands.

It's much more easyer to disable autoupdate in weather panel- options . You can disable mail panel using tf3d config.Disable 3g and that's it. You can go online every time you want.
My father has the incredible talent by having no idea what he does, he finally makes the think he isn't supposed . I actually already disablked the weather feature, but he worked his magic.
Good thread! I was wondering this too. But my phone connects with 3G if i am in oprah and my WLAN connection died for a second. I will try nodata though!
Hi i have set my Diamond to check my email every 30mins but it does not turn off the GPRS once its checked it. is there a software or tweak that will allow me to do this.
Blumin COSTLY!!!!
Use SchapĀ“s Advanced Config to select a timeout for an idle data connection (amongst so many other things/tweaks.....)....
Sorry can you show step by step where to config the timeout?
THX in advance.
Thanks for the reply i used schaps but it does not state a time out period.
From anywhere in the application go down to bottom right hand side and tap menu
then go to connection settings, there you should see a box with Disconnect after and a selection of timings. Hope this helps.
Hi,
and thanks for your help...I supposed it could be the right setting, but I thought that by doing it, it will stop any kind of data connection, even if I'm on the web. I mean it should stop data connection anyway according to the setting...no metter if system is checking for new mail or I'm with safari on the web...
I think that it will only stop data connection if there is no action for xxx minutes, ie if there is no information being transferred. So, if you are actively browsing or downloading email or whatever, then it won't shut the connection down.
Well...tested and it worked...at least for mail chaking...now I have to test it with safari on...
Thanx a lot again!

hello everyone,
can anybody tell me, where I find the settings for receiving Multi-Media-Messages (in german it's called MMS, dunno if it's the same in other languages) ???
They should be found for all Win Mobile 6.1 devices at the same place, right ? Cause my girl got a new phone (Samsung i900) and can't receive MMS. So I called the provider and they sent me an email with the settings. In this it's said: Start -> Messaging -> menu -> "MMS options", but there is no "MMS-options", it ONLY "options" ! And in this menu I can't change anything, cause there are no real settings like ip-address, gateway, port and so on...
I don't want to call my provider again, cause this costs pretty much a lot of money and also I think you're more capable and qualified guys.
Would be great if anyone could help me !!
Thanks
Alex
Go to messaging and select an account first, then you should see MMS-options under menu (last choice).
oh god, how stupid can one be...
i'm sorry for wasting your time !
THX man

in manila settings - Data Services - Internet time sync are options for that:
->get time from the internet
->get time from the internet while roaming
though not exactly sure how and if they work
I have such an option on the std WM phone setting applet, it should be a tab like "time zone" (I'm trying to guess the translation, 'cause mine is Italian) with a check box "automatically change time and time zone"
