Hi
I use a Nokia HDW-3 headset with the latest BT ver " 1.0.0 Build 3900 ". They are able to connect to eachother easily . There is no crackle in voice also.
But the problem starts when the phone switches off " stand by mode " , I hear two beeps in the BT Headset and then it disconnects .
If I get a call within this period the PDA rings and I see a headset with "?" in the middle and then after 5-7 seconds the headset wakes up.
This is nt a problem with HS as I have checked on a Nokia Phone..
Anyone else facing this issue....any possible solution.
Regards
Dhruv
Yes,It's driving me crazy too!
Bought an o2 headset for xda2i,and it just won't send voice to phone or receive.Have paired ok,and its on headset mode.Pressing headset opens phone application and closes it. You can play windows media player and hear sound, not that I want to. Using Broadcom 3900 with bt update.Have returned headset as faulty,so am having a rest from it,but I don't think it is.
Anyone had the same problems?
BTTrayCE problem???
From time to time, I experienced this problem...........
Anyone has a solution other than soft reset?????
i get the same issue too.. just soft reset for me.. im not too irritated by this...

Same here. Yes to all the above. Soft reset for me also. I have an unproven theory that this happens when bluetooth, is switched on and off with profile changes etc. I i keep BT on all the time, it seems to reduce the times I get the memory error..

This happens to me too frecuently... If anyone finds a fix, please let us know.
try disabling all your today plugins, restart. and see if you can turn on and off the bluetooth w/o having to resort for a second restart[/b]
I think I found a workaround to prevent BT to go on sleep mode and consequently disconnects the BT headset.
Click on the BT icon located at the bottom right of the today screen. Select BT Manager. Then, DON'T click on the X (Close) button of the BT Manager. Just click on the Start > Today icon. This will hide the BT Manager, but it will leave it running on the background (so this way it does not go in sleep mode). I tried this morning and my headset haven't disconnected in all day.
Hope it helps...
I'm having a problem with the bluetooth on the HTC with the bmw car kit (E46, 2004). It auto connects fine every time, but I can only make or receive 1 call. After that call has ended, it still claims it is connected - I can browse the phone book, but when the next call comes in it will ring through the car kit, but as soon as I answer it the audio comes out of the phone, not the car kit. The same happens if I initiate the call instead of receive.
It's not the car kit, it has worked flawlessly with previous phones (Sendo, N80) I just have a problem with this one. It happened with the stock rom (voda UK), and all versions of Dutty's.
Anyone any ideas?
Have you tried flashing a different radio?
I also had a weird BT problem and flashing a new radio helped.
Hi
How are you answering the incoming call?
My boss has a similar car to yours with BMW proffesional bluetooth and is running an HTC S710 which works perfectly.
I have found the although you are connected to handsfree if you answer the call on the handset and not via the bluetoooth controls then it will push the audio through the handset not the handsfree.
therefore are you answering the 2nd or 3rd incoming call on the handset or the handsfree?
I might be able to test my vodafone v1615 on this car kit during the week.
Tom
Hello,
I also have a BMW X3 E86 from 2004 with a BMW Bluetooth Kit ( I believe is the some as yours... ) and my Kaiser works great without any problems.
My Kaiser Radio version is: 1.27.12.11
I hope this can help you troubleshooting your problem!
pt_t830
well i have a Z4 ยด06 and all work fine...to be honest i haven`t try it after last BMW nav (Professional) upgrade to V.29 but before this all was OK...Otherwise there was no possimility to use it with a new N or E Nokia
Bluetooth BMW
Try Jetware handsfree extension, works on BMW X3 and HTC Kaiser

Thanks for the hotfix link, unfortunately I forgot to mention I had already tried it and it didn't work.
I have radio version 1.27.21.11, same as you pt_t830.
I'll try that Jetware handsfree extension..

I have tried it both ways, but it makes no difference whether it is answered via the button on the steering wheel, the centre console or the phone - the audio will always come out the phone, not the car kit on the 2nd call. It does turn off the audio on the radio though, and it always rings through the car kit.
Even if the call is initiated from the car kit by browsing the phone book and dialling, no sound will come out the car kit - and then I realise it has already rung but the ringing tone has come out the phone and the other person has answered!
I had similar problems on my E46 M3. I have put jetware on and it's perfect now. I even get a mail indicator on the sat nav when I receive an SMS, never got that before!
OK, I've read a bunch of these threads but I'd Like to get everyone who is knowlegeable about this together because I though I was doing everything right.
First off I am using Dutty's newest ROM that is supposed to have all the voice command mods "out of the box"
Second I have a sony ericsson HBH-DS980, shameless promo I know but, this is an awsome headset I love it and would recommend it to anyone (all I need is this problem fixed)
OK, for the most part everything was working fine at first. I paired everything and started using voice command with all my music, and random system info (battery level, date and time etc....) but then I wanted to start calling people from it and it seemed to work just fine. I'd say who I wanted to call it would ask for confermation then it would start to dial...then the wierd steps in. my headset then looses stereo connection (usually I would have it in stereo mode) so I'm looking at the handset (it takes a couple seconds to "catch up") and it says everything is fine untill the call gets picked up then it drops the ericsson completely it no longer has it as a stereo bt or even a hands-free mic. And to top things off the call just stops so I can't fix anything.
Another thing I've noticed is after something like this or even looking up a contact via voice for some reason wm and my bt don't like to "play nice" I constantly get disconnects and after a while Voice command stops hearing me through my mic (I know it's not the mic since if I reboot and repeat it works just fine) but it will work if I use it from the handset.
I don't reeally know what's going on but I do run S2U2 very often and I was just on another thread that was saying his problem was S2U2 and I want to know if anyone else has found that was the issue. Hell I'd just be happy to know I'm not alone. If anyone would like to offer help that would be great too.
OK, here is version 2 of the explination:
OK I paired my BT (I did this twice as a stereo bt and a regular handsfree) and made a call via voice command (it hears me fine and dials) after a couple seconds my BT gives the disconnect sound. After that the call ends. Not only that but my phone bars go to 0 for a split second and I get a message saying that my phone couldn't connect to my wireless internet. (most likely due to the "0 bar" issue)
After this whole thing I attempt to call (or do anything) via Voice command and it won't understand a word I say through the mic. Even rebooting doesn't solve this issue. I have to remove the bt from my list and re-pair it.
_________________________________________________________
it looks like when VC errors it takes my entire phone with it. Has anyone else had this issue. and BTW it doesn't seem to be related to S2U2 like I though in my last post since it was disabled
Are you talking about MS Voice Command or Cyberon Voice dialer??
Can you try with another BT? Just to verify that's not the bluetooth issue.
I have a similar issue with my Jawbone BT and the problem is with my BT . I have a logitech BT and it doesn't give me any problem.
Are u using s2u2 v0.99 or v1.0?
If you want (BT handfree + s2u2 + voice commander) all three together, you may need to give up the new version and install back the v0.98.
It works for me on my Elf powered by Cloudyfa's shadoW 2.1 TE
Hope it helps.
Cheers

Hi all,
Need help with my HTC Diamond. As my Pioneer car navigation, with which the diamond bluetooth functioned well, was stolen, I was advised to mount a JVC navigation system NX7000 with a detachable front in order to prevent theft. However, the HTC bluetooth dysfunctions. It connects and pairs without problems, but when the diamond goes into sleep or is switched off, it is impossible to establish a phonecall using the JVC car-unit, although it indicates that blueconnection is still valid. When I switch on the phone, even minutes later, it will eventually do the call. If I force the HTC to remain powered-on it will function normally. I am sure that this has something to do with a suspend-mode of the diamond bluetooth part and that this can be solved by the right registry tweak. I tried several tweaks that I found on the forum already but without succes. I upgraded the HTC to the latest firmware 2.03 but no improvement.
I called with HTC and they said that they know the correct registrysettings but they won't supply them because of "licence restrictions"...........
Anybody the same problem? Somebody who has the solution?
Thanks
I have exactly the same problem! Incoming calls work fine, but like you, I cannot initiate outgoing calls from the JVC unit unless the diamond is turned on fully. I there's not a fix for this, I may have to go out and buy an iphone again after selling mine to get a diamond!
there is a fix but HTC won't tell. they suggested to open a thread on this forum in order to get suggestions on the matter. and so I did. When I subsequently asked them if they would post this solution on this forum they said they would not :-(
Bluetooth problems across the board with JVC NX7000

You may not want to fall back on an iPhone with the JVC NX7000. Not to go too far off-topic here, but pairing an single iPhone works great (once I figured out the overly complicated menus). BUT...it won't let me pair a second phone (of any kind). Once the first phone is paired, all pairing menu options are greyed out ("Search" and "Open"), thereby preventing any further phones from being paired. I first need to unpair the first phone before I can pair the second one. JVC Support is comically unhelpful.
Has anyone had luck paring more than 1 phone (of any brand) with the JVC NX7000?
You are the lucky one! You can succesfully pair one phone but it works
I don't care if I can only pair one phone. I only have one phone! lol.
Hey guys!
kind of the same problem here but with the Volvo built-in bluetooth solution. Actually when the device sleeps and I initiate a call it will take some time, then the device will turn on and it will begin to dial but drops immediately. When the device is fully turned on there is no problem at all. Incoming calls work just fine. Even though it first rings on the phone and after a second or two it will ring in the car and the device will stop ringing. Which confirms that bluetooth sleeps somehow and only connects fully when the device is fully awake.
It really looks like bluetooth goes to sleep, so we need a solution which keeps bluetooth awake even if the device itself is in sleep mode.
Patrick
Exactly the problem I described. It's a sleep or suspend mode of the bluetooth that causes the dysfunction. I can pair nokias wih JVC without any functional problem, they work like a charm. It is really a HTC related problem, I tried a lot of registry tweaks suggested for similar problems in other HTC devices, but no luck so far.
Reply to Guitartng:
storing multiple bluetoothdevices in the JVC for subsequent use can be done by selecting "new device" and then go to "bluetooth setup".
Exact same issue with a Kenwood DNX 8120 double din unit.
If anyone finds out the solution, please post it here. I'll keep searching.
Good News Lads!
Well after blowing my head of trying different roms and radios got a solution.
The solution comes from JVC stereo and not from Htc diamond Phone!
You have to set special phones To Samsung E520 and then pair device with the htc diamond. It works like a charm, know I can make calls through my JVC stereo and NO MORE deep sleep of htc diamond.
Try with samsung, it work for me, if not try with other phones in special phones before pairing!
Cheers!
I just wanted to let you know that I also was able to fix my bluetooth issue by flashing stock firmware 2.03.405.3 WWE with Radio 1.09.25.23. I was previously using Dutty's V4 which is based on 2.03 afaik, but it look like Dutty tweaked something on the bluetooth stby behaviour.
Anyway, it works like a charm now and the whole calling and answering process is also much faster!
I've tried and tried with my parrot car kit, but nothing seems to active the phone (either the button, or the keywords), has anyone had any luck?

Typical, I really wanted this. I still get the same pairing problems (paired but not connected). Then after repeating the same process up to about 10 times is pairs and connects. From then on it's fine for receiving calls. But initiating them just isn't working for me.
So on the kits that work, how does it work, does it use the voice search (ie the one requiring a data connection) or the old style voice dialler?
Does it give you any confirmation before calling, just in case it's picked up the wrong person?
Works okay for me with a no-name bluetooth headset. I press the "attention/answer" button on the headset, the screen pops over to the voice dialing screen with some instructions, and the headset says "Speak now." I say, "Call John Smith". The headset says "Calling John Smith" and the dialer pops up and dials. It does not ask for confirmation, unfortunately (Voice Commander under Windows Mobile says, "Calling John Smith?" and you have to respond "Yes" or "No"); I guess they assume you can hit the "end" button and try again if it got it wrong. (I haven't used it much, but it's two-for-two getting the callee right on the test calls I've made.) I didn't check whether it needed a data connection or not; sorry.

For my car kit it does ask for confirmation. I guess it depends, which car kit do you have that your having contectivity problems? Foryo is much improved for me in that regard.

I've got a Parrot CK3000 EVO. Worked fine in windows mobile, but in eclair and froyo I do get it to pair and connect after lots of attempts, just can't get the voice dialling working.
I've ordered an updating kit for the bluetooth set in the hopes that a newer firmware for it may help. I'll update this once I've got it.

I also have a parrot evo 3k and I'm interested to hear what you find out.
Is there a consolidated thread with compatibility or test results anywhere?
I have CM 6.0 RC1 running on my G1
My Plantronics 340 seemed to work great for voice dialing, but my car kit and other BT pieces don't.
I did get think outside BT keyboard and BT mouse working
I am running CM 6 RC1 on a Dream, with a Motorola H700 headset.
I got them to pair up without any problem, and it seems to be working without a data plan or wifi connection.
However, I noticed a couple of issues:
1) The "speak now" prompt is extremely quiet, even with volume levels maxed out on both the phone and the headset
2) It only works if the screen is "awake", meaning I still need to hit MENU on the phone in order for my command to be acknowleged (not very hands-free, is it? hopefully this is a bug in Froyo that will be soon repaired!). This is a bad thing for me, 'cuz here in Quebec, you can get a ticket for inappropriate touching of a cellphone while driving.
3) If it thinks it has the right phone number, it says "calling {whoever}", and then proceeds to dial without further warning, which is dangerous since when it speaks the "calling" notification, that too is very low volume
Is this just my configuration? Perhaps a limitation of the Dream hardware? Perhaps (this is me dreaming in technicolor) a simple software setting that needs changing?
