How long have I been surfing? - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

How can I see how long my last call was?
How mych data was downloaded when I was on the Net
Is there a program where I can use this data and type it each price and then it tells me how big my invoice is at everytime? Think I have seen something like this before...

Your call log will indicate your minutes usage in your calls, for data use a program such as SPB GPRS (now known as SPB Wireless) Monitor. It is a paid software, but 30 days trial and totally worth it if you dont have an unlimited plan.
There is a place to specify your data plan's inclusive MB's, and cost per kb/mb in overage, and if you are doing data pay per use (no plan) you just input your $/kb, and your billing cycle.
I have used this as long as i have had my windows mobile device, and will continue to use it probably forever

This is the link on the developer's website with a little video.

Tilt & GPS and Internet

Within the next 2 or 3 weeks. I'm planing on getting a Tilt. For all of you already having one I need some info. I've never had a GPS device or Cell phone with that capability so please inform me.
I'm really not playing on using the GPS feature maybe just to play around with and see how it works.
Do I need to have a GPS plan on my account to use this feature, I'm not going to need directions, I just want it to show my location on a map?
Am I correct thinking if I don't use Navagation (Get Directions) feature then its only using my Internet connection?
Can I use any GPS software on the phone?
I'm just trying to make sure I wont be charge for something that I really don't need, just want to try out to locating function here and there. I think it would be fun to have.
GPS is free for using...having a program that usings GPS might not be free..such as tomtom garmin etc...there are going to be free programs such as googlemaps (correct me if i'm wrong)...but using the GPS is completely free and has nothing to do with the cellular provider.
GPS is free

You are pretty much correct.
To use "GPS" to connect to satellites to determine your location does not cost anything.
Applications like Google Maps and MS Live Search can determine your location and give you directions at no cost. They use your data connetion to download maps.
Other applications like Telenav (which you will have a link to download it on your Tilt) charge for downloading directions.
And other apps use pre-installed maps and do not require a data connection. These come in handy where reception is bad.
This is my first phone with these kinds of features, options and capabilities too Before this Kaiser..aka Tilt I had a Razor V3
You can disable your DATA connection through Comm Manager so it will never access or try to access your provider ( mines ATT/Media.Net)
I suggest doing that otherwise you'll find the charges on your bill and not even know you were using the service. Also you can block DATA through your provider and plan.
I did the 1 month free trail with telenav..it was ok but had problems and is slow since it's all server based ( data connection!!). Plus it will cost you about $10 per month..unless you sign up for years then it goes down to around $5 per month...that was not " attractive" to me
I now use and have used for 4 months Garmin XT..its pretty cool and I drive alot ( 3k miles per month ).
If you dont have DATA you cant cash in on gas prices either ( as well as all the Online Xtras )..and who doesn't think of those prices these days. Also no data means noTraffic unless you use a seperate FM reciever of some sort..
Garmin's not perfect, none of em are, but it's pretty darn accurate
Now if you wanna get some real cool media..like free cable TV on your phone that works very good when you have a data connection...lets talk about my Slingbox

Garmin's not perfect, none of em are, but it's pretty darn accurate It hasn't let me down yet. It has voice but does not say the street name in directions...I dont find that to be a problem. The map and route are clear and once you get use to it you should be fine without street names
Now if you wanna get some real cool media..like free cable TV on your phone that works very good when you have a data connection...lets talk about my Slingbox
I really don't need the GPS feature but would like to be able to try it out, mess with the trakking on it from a few projects I've seen. I rarely try some place to an area I've never been before so its not like I need the directions thing. The first thing I'll do is proably remove telenav from the phone just to make sure I don't accidently use it.
So aslong as I remove telenav, and I have my unlimited internet on my phone I should be all good.

My Mobile bill explode!!!help?????????

Hi i've got my diamond for a few days an now my mobile bill explode, because i've opened googlemaps application, wich dowloads in 10 min. ca. 5 mb mapsmaterials. So my bill is going huge.....I thought, that my Diamond will aks me, when it use the mobile service to connect to the i-net. But it did'nt, so i need held.
I'm looking for a program, which ask me everytime when my mobilephone will connect to the i-net with the mobileconnection, if i want this or not....or better which way to connect it should use(when WiFi is aviable)???
So does anybody know of a program like this....or could write it...?
looking forward
Carriers always like that because you get billed without knowing it. Use Modaco Nodata to block internet usage. Call the carrier and say you didn't know and they will probably let you go this one time.
Just install diamond tweaks http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=409540
There is a setting to turn your mobile internet on and off as you please.
Hey guys
i use this internet page since last week and i know a lot more about my diamond and have found a lot of great applications...this forum is great...
and thank you for your great and fast answers and the great tipps...
i think i love this forum.....
or use spb gprs monitor to monitor your data usage. great application which enables u to get reports on how much you've used every day/week/month, and alerts when you've use more than an amount of data you have specified. You can also enter the rate at which you are being charged per MB (or per month if u have a fixed allowance) and it will tell you the cost of what you've used.
I have used it for the past three years - it does not cost much and it is a great investment.
Ohh okay... ithink i will test it..in time i use diamond tweaks great tool but i would like it if my mobile connection is turned off and if any programm will start the connection, a tool ask me which connection should be used (wifi or mobile) and i have to click okay when only my mobile is aviable...does anybody know of an Programm like this...?
Diamond tweaks have the problem that u have to turn it on and off how you need it, so you have to start the Programm every time.............................not so comfortable
Does your carrier have an unlimited data package? That would solve everything...
or get an unlimited data package from your service provider and then you dont need to worry...
that's sounds nice but i'm student and not millionaire........
I think that it's a murder to buy a device like Diamond without having at least a small dataplan. It's a very web oriented device, so go to look a volume data plan...even small...you will enjoy much more. Find a little job and go for a dataplan
I pay €9,95 a month to get unlimited internet access. It'd take me 100503 months, or 8375 years, to pay a million for unlimited internet. Somehow, I don't think I'm gonna make that...
*cut* dang, double post :S
use monaco nodata software

Data Usage Monitor

Going to Norway, Sweden and Finland for about a month. Plan on using the Tilt for GPS navigation using tomtom.
I got a plan put on my phone that gives me 20MB per month roaming data internationally. After that it's a total screwjob in Scandinavia at about $20 per additional mb.
SO . . . I'm looking for:
1. recommendations for an unobtrusive cab that will allow me to track my total data usage out of my Tilt so that I can avoid overages (freeware would be nice, but not required). Have SPB MS 2.1 & SPB PP 4.0
2. way to make sure various little polling cabs are not sucking up bandwidth (w/o hunting down and uninstalling everyone). Can I do something to my data connection but still use GPS for tom tom?
3. What kind of data usage am I likely to see trying to use tomtom for GPS? Will probably drive about 2500km in 7 days using it most of the driving time if possible. I know using google maps or WinMo live search would blow me out of the water.
Thanks for the input!

Data monitoring:
Battery Status, Spb GPRS Monitor, ... both are great, Battery status has also some other useful options
Dont know for sure, but I think tomtom is not using data connection, so u can use your gps without data plan. Just download (purchase) maps of the countries u are going through and u can use gps.
3) For simple navigation with tomtom, you don't need any data connection because te use of gps data is free for everyone.
You need a connection only for the optional services like traffic, mapshare, meteo, etc. but not for basic navigation
You can also use Schaps AdvConfig or the previous Kaiser Tweak to completely disable data connections, and then only enable them when you want access. It might take an extra 15 seconds before you start browsing each time, but at least the data blocking is foolproof enough.

How to keep track of call minutes/sms ?

Is there an application you know that keeps track of minutes and sms, .. you know .. just to be sure to keep the use within the phone plan we have.
I had on the Prophet an utility called Smaato Cost, but it seems not working on the Diamond. Everytime it's turned on it recognizes the SIM as a new SIM ...
Anyone knows of another application ?
Thanks so much.
LCMinutes is a valid program and it's free.
just tried it, doesn't cut it for me. the setup is far too complicated.
my contract is quite simple, 50 minutes and 150 sms included, 24h day 1 rate, each exceeding minute / sms 0,19 cent. data costs 9 cent /minute. 15 € base price, thats it.
is there any other software, without the need for a today plugin (TF3D wouldn't be usable), that could monitor this for me?

bittorrent program to Diamond?

Hello.
Where can i download a program like utorrent or azureus to my HTC Touch Diamond // Windows mobile edition 6.1?
is there any point? you would just get billed thousands from your operator for data charges.
even still, i have no idea.
I Could see some validity in this..
Suppose you had an unlimited data plan, you could download files you need on the move.
However you wouldn't want to download large files as this probably would kill your battery, even worse if you are using WiFi.
If you still want a such a program, try this one: http://www.adisasta.com/wmTorrent.html
A simple search in Google for 'bittorent for windows mobile' brought up many programs.
Hope this helps
the downloadrate of diamond is to slow. 200kb....
Regrettably "unlimited web" rarely means just that, theres usually a "fair use" policy applied to you contract so down loading torrents would reach that very quickly. 02 say your data use must not harm the quality of service for other customers.
Ady
"02 say your data use must not harm the quality of service for other customers."
> If it does harm quality of service for other costumers, it just means their network is crap
P2P and Voip are often forbidden by operators (for exemple Orange and O2) even with unlimited dataplan...

Indeed, I'm not allowed to use VOIP or use it as a modem for a laptop or PC. P2P however..
