Anybody expereinced this problem with Kaiser?
My vibration alert sometimes (many times actually) did not stop until I manually press the power on/off button. I have set vibration on when I receive new email messages, etc. When a new email message came in, the device just kept vibrating (I can only stop it by pressing the power button). When it was working properly, it would emit just 3 intermittent vibrations instead of a long one.
Any advice on how to resolve this? Thanks.
I get same effect with push e-mail. After three or four e-mails it goes into infinite vibration and will not stop until I acknowledge that e-mail. Please, any suggestions really appreciated.
Yes, that's similar to what I have encountered. Anybody has any advice please?
Lol, sorry to laugh, but it reminded me of something that constantly vibrates
Any solutions for this? I have the same issue.
I've found that when the phone is on non-vibrate option but volume is turned down to min, the phone continually vibrates!
When in normal vibrate-only mode, it does the usual 3 buzzes!!!
Try it and see
I encountered the same issue with the Tilt.
Tilt Won't Stop Vibrating!!
Has anyone found a solution for this? As mail is pushed through, my tilt vibrates continuously until I hit the power button. This happens several times every day (and needless to say, it is very annoying).
Seems not much advices from the guru here .... or maybe this problem only happened to just a few of us?
For me, I still can't figure out the pattern. It just happened spontaneously so I can't really pinpoint at a specific fault or something. But I would be very interested to find out how come this problem is only bugging a few of us here .... hmmmm ...
I changed my settings when new email message received to non vibrate mode.
I'm also having this problem intermittently and it is very annoying. Please help on this one.
I am also having this issue but can't seem to track it down to a single set of circumstances.
I have the same thing - when volume is not set to mute and vibrate is on, it vibrates normally. When the volume is muted, sometimes, but not always, it vibrates continuously. I haven't found any kind of solution yet...
I have the Tilt with stock AT&T ROM.
I have a T-Mob MDA Var 3. When i make a call on battery power the backlight doesn't stay on. annoyingly, the only way to turn it on during a call is to hit the power button.
This seems silly as I might want to place someone on hold or start a conference, etc. I have set the backlight defaults not to turn off on external or battery power.
Does anyone know how how I can stop the backlight turning off during calls?
Thanks
Disable fast sleep and sleep ...
Use KaiserTweak below:

Thanks for the quick reply - i will try that!
Not another lazy noob....
I've tried Kaiser Tweak, and verified the registry settings. I've used google, the XDA Forum and the XDA Wiki. Still, my backlight/call end problem persists. My ROM is the most current version.
Can anyone help? I really like the Kaiser, but this problem makes it all but unusable.
Thanks,
brianb

did you soft reset?
Yes....I've run Tweak and soft reset numerous times.
Thanks for checking. I'm not sure I haven't missed something.

Mine does this. very anoying especially when calling voicemail or an automated call system where you have to press keypad numbers. Have to keep turning the phone on to press the keypad.
Hey guys,
Right, I've come over from symbian, namely UIQ and the SE P-series, so am used to things being somewhat different. The main issue I don't seem to be able to find a solution to is the screen locking problem.
Essentially, at the moment I push the power button to lock the device, as well as enter a power save mode. I have to say, I like the way that works. However, when I recieve a call (or text with the reg fix) the phone comes to life, great, but say I miss the call, or the phone is in my pocket, the screen is now ACTIVE. Not good news.
How am I supposed to lock this device properly? Screen lock and then the power button? Can't I get a simple tap on the power button to lock and power save the device?
Essentially, if I have a missed call or message I just want the phone to vibrate once, then keep an LED flashing intermittently. But I want the screen to stay LOCKED.
Any help would be much appreciated, and thanks for all the other useful tips on the forum!
Cheers,
Daz.
Go start/settings/System/Long Press End Key
Select automatically execute etc
and Lock device
then OK
then, a long press on the hang up button (bottom right) will lock the phone.
Hope that helps
Perhaps I didn't explain myself. I know how to lock the phone, but how do I make use of the power button tap mode? In other words, the power saving mode?
Can I set up a button that locks the phone, AND sends it to power save mode? (or "turn it off" as WM seems to call it).
Thanks again,
Daz.
I found a regedit in:
HKLM\Software\HTC\KeyLock\SameAsDeviceLock
Set it to 1, but it doesn't do the trick. In fact, it now causes the power button click to not lock the keys.
I suppose the only option is to have standby mode come on after a timeout, lock the device, then it will go into standby on its own. Seems like a slight waste of battery to me!
Cheers,
Daz.
I really want this to work too,
It should unlock and turn on when recieving a call, it should just turn on when recieving an sms (so you can have a quick look from who it is, and then unlock to reply)
and when you lock the device it should automatically turn off...
Not EXACTLY what you want, but S2U2 in the "Development and Hacking" section will improve matters for you.
When you turn the phone off with the power button, S2U2 kicks in. Then:
1) If you turn the phone back on, you'll get the slide to unlock screen.
2) If a call comes in, the phone turns on and you see the caller ID (with full screen picture, if you so desire) on a "slide to answer" screen. The S2U2 default settings ensure that the phone turns itself back off again if you fail to answer it.
3) If a text / e-mail / mms comes through, it notifies you but remains off... When you hit the power button, the "slide to unlock" screen will show missed calls, text messages, e-mails (and even the weather if you want...).
Check it out, it's an essential piece of software in my opinion... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381588
Thanks sub69, great recommendation. However, does anyone else get the bug when hitting the "x" in other applications to close them, the status bar (Or task bar) goes all scrambled and looks like the S2U2 status bar.
Shame this isn't built in though, would be nicer to see the TF3D interface rather than a 3rd party one.
Thanks again!
Daz.
Anyone with other suggestions? S2U2 is just a little too buggy at the moment on the diamond...
use "BatteryStatus" from www.chti-tai.info, they have a option for devicelock on wakeup, so even u missed a call, and the screen light up, it is still locked.
somone posted this on other thread.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now we don't need any devicelock software with diamond.
If you want automatic lock your diamond you have to change this registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\AutoDevic eLockEnable from 0 to 1 and everytime your backlight goes off automatically your device are locked
Sorry for may bad english but i'm italian.
Ciao
Thanks for that reg fix, seems like a good option. There was a new S2U2 version release, 1.5, and that seems to work well for me. Will see how that goes for now...
Cheers guys! Daz.
the reg edit is good, but it doesn't solve the problem of unlocked touchscreen prone to being pressed during incoming call (when scrambling in your pocket to take out the phone)
btw there are several other threads where this problem is addressed and deeply analyzed (without a complete working solution, however...)
dazbradbury take a look at sensorlock, if you have not already.
Hi Guys...
I have the latest of Duttys Roms installed, and Gyrator 2.
Whenever i get an incoming call and i pick the phone up it auto-answers (only when i actually pick up the phone)
Im just wondering if anyone can point me to any non-standard areas that might be set up to do this? its annoying!
Thanks!
Very annoying indeed...I have exactly the same problem and I too have Gyrator.
I think it's when I try and 'silence' the phone when pressing the vol + or- button.
OK I solved my own problem, it seems. Just go to Gyrator 2, tap Menu>Events. See the last option 'Answer Call' or something, just remove that particular event.
Yep, confirmed. Thats the problem.
Gyrator was set to hit the 'send' button when the phone is picked up.
Thanks!
Good Afternoon,
I've put this post to see if I get some help or indication on a problem I have with my TyTN II.
The problem that I encounter is the following, for some time now, whenever I turn on the phone or just taking it out of the standby mode, it starts without me wanting a record voice message, as if carrying the button that is attributed to the effect (left top) and beyond that, I stopped having any kind of response in the central fleet buttons on the phone (call, hang up, internet, email, as well as giving access to the menus screen. The only thing that works is the center button, that when I click, brings up the start bar, no idea whatsoever why it does that.
Thank you for your help, because the phone has been with his options limited, and it consumes a lot of battery and memory with the issue of recording the voice call whenever it comes out of standby.
Thank you in advance for the help you can give me.
Greetings
Carlos
