Can anyone tell me how to change a screen from a Diamond? I have the mechanical manual but this jus show how to disamble the entire phone and not just the LCD screen.

Yes, my ppc work when is connected on activesync i can see and use it with activesync remote display.
I have read on an other post that is possible I damage the cable between the card under the screen and the " main board "

Yes the colour is the same but I have the problem of the white screen on the both screen the old and the new.
wow that is really weird, even when u put the old one back in its white? and everything is connected? including the black ribbon that u first pull off while opening the cover?
I would try to take some pics and post them see if anyone sees anything wrong.
Yes all are cenected. i search on this link to see if I made a mistake but I see nothing wrong.
I will retry to connect the old one but I think this will hapenning a white screen again.

You are not alone. I had a cracked lcd on my Tilt also. Above the crack was white, below it I could still see smeared graphics. I bought a new screen and put it in and like you have an all white screen now. The phone still booted and i could make a call. I then put my broken screen back in and it was still white on top and smeared graphics below. I'm now wondering if there are multiple versions of the screen out there. Here is the info on my screen:
Old front: 002 TPO-A24B F1
Old back: p/n:60H00091-00M
New front: 001 TPO-A24B C4
New back: no numbers
If anyone else can help us figure this out please reply.

I have found a place to buy the touch screen separate. So I can change it. But I don`t know how. Is the a simple way to do this, or do you have to take the hole phone apart? Like the wizard here http://mikechannon.net/PDF Manuals/HTC Diamond Service Manual.pdf tells me to do.
Or is it me that don`t understand?
Please help me.

I notice this was not answered - perhaps because the answer is yes you must follow the service manual dismantling steps! There are no short cuts or quick ways to replace the screen.
Disassembly will void any warranty you may have. If in doubt send it for repair.

Hi be very carefull with the screen , i just changed my lcd at a HTC service center, the screen is composed of 3 parts the digitizer (touch screen), lcd display, and the front cover ( the metal that you see around the screen), all this parts are changed in one piece, you cannot change only the touch screen or the lcd because, it can be done without damaging the lcd. Dont buy from ebay only the touch screen because you wil and up breaking your phone.
Ps the screen ( front cover, touch screen, lcd display) cost me 110 euro.

nope it randomly did it its self
First thing to try is Hard reset. Failing that flash another ROM. If it still happens then its a hardware fault.
had the same problem, but my screen was not absolutely dark, so i could go to settings and changed the setting for backlight two times and then it worked again.
If a hard reset doesn't work then it's probably an lcd failure. You can replace the lcd if you want. If you have the insurance from your carrier then you might just go that route.
After replacing my digitizer, I needed to align my screen because it was off. It worked the first time, but later I had to readjust the plug of my digitizer into the motherboard. Now I need to re-align it again because it is again about 2-3cm off. When I go to the align screen page, it just loops. There are many threads on how to skip this page and stuff, but I NEED to re-align my screen and it will not. Please help.
For some reason the right side of the screen is more off than the left side, which is less unaligned, but still difficult to type with
does no one have any idea what can be done? Is there any 3rd party software that will allow me to align my screen?
Or can someone give me the calibration number that are in the registy? Perhaps I can mess with those.
