Stock spl 0.78 - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

can anybody point me in the direction of one of these as its a pain having to convert fron 0.52.0linex > 0.72 > 0.78 > latest supported official SE software
and it will save me loads of time and thousands of pounds cutting out a step
at least then i'll be able to install latest supported official SE software SD card method > spl 0.78 > job done
i don't mind if i get the file link or instructions or forum link or whatever is out there
thanks again

If I'm not wrong flashing your device with stockSPL 0.72 and then flashing a stock ROM will change the SPL to 0.78.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3959234#post3959234

the way we do it is when the software identifies the handset it loads the new 0.78 spl before you can flash a stock rom i wanted to skip a step

there is none at this time dude, maybe in a few months time, i am sure if there was a 0.78 the threads would have been updated like anything else...1 minute of seus updating ur 72 to 78 wont kill

a minute.... a minute... lol kids
its not one minute
its three minutes process time plus htats three minutes i'm not repairing another Xperia * more then 15 lpmh
thats 45 minutes per person wastage per day
it takes 4 minutes to strip down an xperia and 11 minutes to rebuild it
thats essentially three Xperia not processed per person per day
woth 8 people working on it per day day at a price of more hten £80 per handset processed succesfully
thats
80*3*8= £1920 per day five days a week
£9600 a week
so yea a minute does hurt

dude, what exactly are you trying to say????
aint u asked about updating the SPLfrom 0.72 to 0.78? it takes about 1 minute from connectivity
what exactly are you trying to say there >>> its not one minute
its three minutes process time plus htats three minutes i'm not repairing another Xperia * more then 15 lpmh

if your x1 takes long to update i suggest for you to get a fast internet connection

xperia
use sonyericsson update servise

install stock spl 0.72 and update with SE Update service. you don't have to update with update service, only pass steps until you are going to update. at that point disconnect your device

Malfunctioning Battery - an upgrade horror story

This post is simply to document my recent experience with a malfunctioning battery in the hope that it may help someone is a similar situation one day.
For just over 12 months I have been the proud owner of a T-Mobile MDA Vario. Over that time I have successfully applied several custom ROM upgradess. And then one day some months ago, my phone started behaving strangely:
The initial symptom was the screen going white, or sometimes it would have flickering lines. I worked around this by cycling standby off then on. Generally the phone would be OK for another day, or perhaps another hour or so.
The next symptom that started to occurr was the battery status would change dramatically. The phone would display a full battery one minute then down to say 10% the next. Restarting the phone would see the battery status return to 100% or whatever it was on previously.
The final symptom was the phone would re-boot itself, particularly after a phone call, and sometime even when receiving a phone call.
It was at this point I decided it was time for a warranty repair. However I was running a 2.26 custom ROM. I decided to downgrade it back to the most recent T-Mobile factory ROM (2.21). This is were things went really wrong. Part way through the downgrade the phone rebooted! I could not get past the boot loader (RSOD - rainbow screen of death)! I tried everything, and many different ROMS's. Sometimes it would get to 60% through the upgrade, other times the RSOD would flash repeatedly on then off every few seconds. The battery had a full charge so I could not understand what went wrong.
I took the phone to a "specialist" in London's Chinatown. They spent a good hour on it and couldn't solve the problem. They told me they even rang to the guy who founded xdadevelopers forum! No luck.
So, with my phone stuck on the RSOD sceen, with IPL proudly displaying as 2.26, I boldly walked into T-Mobile on Oxford St and checked the phone in for warranty repair. I told them I was trying to install the latest T-Mobile ROM when it went wrong (the truth - only I didn't say upgrade or downgrade ).
A week later I got a phone call to say my phone had been repaired! The warranty repair sheet said something like "base unit replaced". Sure enough, it was a brand new phone, only the battery and the battery cover were the same as before! Interestingly, the repair sheet clearly stated "battery tested - passed".
Unfortunately the story does not end here. I took my phone home, unlocked it, and quickly went about installing the latest AKU 2.3 custom ROM..... and you guessed it.... RSOD!! I couldn't believe it! What had "I" done wrong! How was I going to take the phone back again!
Well, at this point, I thought about all the steps I had been through, and recalled the original problem. The battery! Even though it often reported say 90% sometimes it would drop to 10% then 0% then back up to 60%! If this was happening during an upgrade then that would explain it. Fortunately a college I work with ahs the same phone. I borrowed is battery, ran the upgrade and hey presto... it worked!!
So, the message is this - if you have problems with an upgrade, consider your battery may be faulty and you need to get a new one!

P.S. Love this forum, you guys rock! Moski's ROM's are the best and thanks to everyone for your postings and ideas and everything!! Happy Christmas and all that!!!

Sim Lock Timeout Please wait

I just got the unlock to enter in my treo 750..but it looks like someone has tried to enter the wrong code 15 times...
how long must i wait before it will let me enter the code?
its been over 24 hours...
your phone is indefinitely blocked.
please wait for the new release of my SIM unlocker and you'll be able to unlock it.
will that be anytime soon?
or will it be a while?
Olipro,
Is the newest release of your SIM Unlocker able to overcome this indefinite blocked state yet?
Any other options?
Thanks,
Novelty57
FINALLY after 7 days without the phone going to sleep or turning off
it allows me to enter the code......
it actually had to sit 7 days
Wow this took 7 days to unlock. I tried using the unlock program and it was at 2 days and the program put it to 12 days so I just went to ebay to buy the code. So now I have to wait 7 days. Ahhhhhhh

this is great news, will this unlock those like me that flashed the Hermes radio rom?
Thanks for you work.
Ha finally!!! Mine was timed out for 36 tries (thanks to some of the unlock programs on here) and I had waited for days for it reset but nothing. I tried the other unlockers too but didn't have much luck. I even tried calling AT&T for a code and they said no go unless you the phone is under service with them for 90 days. So I finally bit the bullet and paid for the software unlock that is done over the internet and finally got it unlocked even with the timeout still on. Yeah.
I'm in the same boat, the phone is in timeout, I have the code from ATT but can't enter it. Would you please share what service you used to get it unlocked online even with the timeout.
Had same issue
When My blackstone wsa in timeout I found that the timer only countts down when the phone is on (screen and all) so to make the timeout pass quickly set your phone to never turn off (without sim in) then leave it on charge. May take several days of being left always on but the phone will eventually timeout and let you enter another code.
timeout
please tell me a solution for HTC HD2
How long do I have to wait for the timeout?
Timeout for HD2
The timeout on my HD2 is now after 7 wrong tries around 35min ....
i think it increases abaout 5 min every try. Just let your device allways on in that time.
bye the way has anyone managed to get a working unlock code for a 3 Austria locked HD2

HTC Touch HD, Sony Ericsson X1, HTC HD2
Treo 750 unlock error
Follow the steps to unlocking but crashed in the third 56% and now the Treo connects to the bootloader screen, how to recover? thanks

Quick one: Does HardSPL only take a few secs to flash?

Just whammed 1.40 Olinex unsigned on there and I thought it would take 10 mins to flash but it all happened in a few secs? Ive checked the version using vol down + soft reset and it says SPL-1.40-Olinex which looks right....
Dont hate me...just want to make sure something odd hasnt happened before I press on with a custom rom?
Hard SPLflashing is fast... only a few seconds as it weights only ~500KB while ROM weights 30+ MB and takes about 10 mn (often less)

Thanks....might suggest this as an addition to the excellent guide in the Diamond ROM forum....as everything suggests it should be longer...I guessed it was small but wasnt sure how its structured and whether it was going to read out my current ROM and write back SPL + that ROM......which clearly it doesnt as it has its own hole in flash :O)

Xperia constantly resetting...

Hey all,
I posted a while ago about my phone having died and only having red flashing lights...I managed to solve that- thanks for you help, but now have a completely different problem.
Since then about a week has passed and approximately every 36 hours the phone seems to crash. When I take out the battery and turn it on again it invariably hangs at the Ericsson logo screen. When I then leave it off for a period of time (between 2 and 12 hours) I either find it starts to work again, or that I'll have the red flashing lights and have to leave it for longer.
When it does start working, it always seem to have been hard reset and I have to go through the set up again.
It's possible heating the battery speeds up how long it takes to start working again (although I've tried it with 2 batteries so I'm not sure why that would work) - and I'm not sure if that is actually the case yet or not anyway.
- It's very frustrating to lose all of my contacts daily, but I don't want to give up on £250 worth of kit... any ideas?
Thanks so much

Heh, don't know.
Maybe some other rom's installation messed up something....
hmm... I faced the same problem...
So.. I did have to send it for repair :S ....
maybe i have the same problem... many roms tried, many soft and hard-reset, but the lifetime cycle of the phone before to re-flash the device is at maximum 1-2 days... now i'm trying the tips about quickgps (maybe could be correlated) on the thread in this forum... but the most probably truth i think that could be an internal memory rom damage... if anyone find a soluzion about this problem via software i'm here...
I seem to be having the same problem.
A week ago i tested the latest roms with winmo 6.5.1, after several roms i settled with a rom with build 23081, enabled htc sense, played around abit and went to bed and put the phone to charge. when i woke and touched the screen, the phone immediately froze.
After removing battery it froze again in SE boot screen and after second removal of battery the phone hard reseted it self.
The phone has been freezing and flashing itself ever sense, sometimes the uptime is minutes sometimes over day.
Currently the phone has survived 3 days without a spontaneous flash, the only difference is that i didn't bother to enable htc sense last time it flashed. So i enabled htc sense once again and will see if the phone survives a day.

i had approximatively also the same problem... i'm trying to understand what is the reason of this instable situation... gps location? memory? graphic instance that use HTC sense? is heavy to understand... if anyone could also find the right solution...
was having the same problem tried the method in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540290 and it is working on my X1 so far

Did the "task 29" do anything?
I tried the method suggested but no change besides hard reset. And the X1 froze about 12h after that...

ye mine did it again aswell this morning
i just tried hard reseting then install a stock rom then hardreset again and install a custom rom, will let you know if it works
Do you guys often use Opera Mobile?
Ahah!
Very encouraging to see other people had the same difficulties... and I suppose that it's just a question of making sure a fresh ROM flash works properly.
Sadly mine has reached the stage where it's no longer working for 'a day' before crashing... it's just pretty much dead.
Now I can bring up the tricolour screen if I'm plugged in, the ROM then begins to flash off the memory card, but crashes half way through every time.
I have tried this with 2 batteries, one of which (which I have used once and was working fine but only lasted 2 days before breaking) now does nothing whatsoever. The other lets me get half way through the flash every time.
- I can't send it back on the warranty until I reflash it myself (and I don't have a receipt anyway) so I'm going to go find a high street mobile fixing place and see if they can help.
hardresetting then flashing a stock rom (R3A generic) then hardresetting again then installing custom rom and hardresetting, definately fixed my phone, has been working for more than 2 days now it usually stops in less than 1 day.
FYI - high street phone guys managed to reflash the device for £15....it lasted 4 days but has just died again.

XT1052 'almost' dead post lolipop update

Need your help here guys. My XT1052 switched off due to low battery while upgrading to lolipop via ota. (I know i messed up a big time.. But it wasnt me who did upgrading)
Now, the phone is working fine except battwry life and lost of touch at times.
1. Have to charge my phone a couple of times in a single day, and it takes around 5 to 10 minutes to restart (keeps on optimizing apps every single time post boot)
2. There are frequest lost touches. Need to click a couple of times at random locations to get my touch registered.
P.s. i have resetted my phone around 3-4 times since then. It is on stock and unrooted.
Any suggestions on what could possibly be done?
