Here is the deal,
I have HTC diamond touch
1. can connect to wifi at home or anywhere
2. cannot even load a webpage?
was working yesterday
here is what i did today
1. unlocked it using Diamond Unlocker
2. Installed Juicy 8
3. that didn't work
4. hard booted and installed the telus rom that came with teh phone
5. applied the hacks for making the touchflo fast
6. applied the battery improvement tricks
7. using the Advanced Config, applied different hacks
Using the same telus rom i could connect and load the pages and browse net but not any more
am stumped
what should I do???
Make sure airplane mode/all that **** is off/on on the Communications Manager.

i recently bought a dopod 838. i used it for 2 months. it went smooth but now i have problems.
1. It would take me 4 minutes after Startup is finish( Sometimes i got stuck on the startup)
2. My computer cannot detect my device via USB for upgrade and activesync purpose even on bootloader mode. i cant reflash it.
3. My unit has a strange High Pitch System Music. like pop-up menus.. etc
4. Bluetooth cannot turn on
5. GSM feature is missing..(when i inserted my sim card NO SERVICE will appear on the status)
I did nothing,nothing at all nor crashed from a ROM upgrade. Im using IPL/STL 2.21. Hope you could help.

Is it possible to lock out the 3G radio completely on the TILT?
Coming from an Apache on VZW, I was used to being able to change the ModeOfOperation Reg setting and completely locking out the EVDO if I needed to preserve my battery life.
I've tried a number of things on the TILT, but I am not sure which (if any) get me what I want.
I've tried the disableing MEdia Net via KaiserTweak, but when I was in a 3G area it prevented any data connection saying the connection was not allowed (or something similar).
Disabling HSDPA I don't believe is the key either since that is download only.
Again just looking to lock the phone at EDGE/GPRS only. E icon.

Running the stock ATT ROM, I don't see a BAND page in Settings/Phone/... I've tried exposing it with Schaps Adv. Config Tool, but I still don't see it. I am guessing there is more to exposing this tab than just a reg.
Is BandSwitch the only way?
if u use the 10 button com manager with the 3g switch i would link it but not got time as im at work but search it will be easy to find

Hi, I use the 10 button com manager on my TyTNII (german stock HTC ROM) and it worked without any issues right after installation.

Ditto - i use it - installed no probs and does what it says on the box so to speak. I have an orange version

thats what the com manager does but on a easy switch baisicly. and no problems on a stock t-mobile uk rom all works fine

This does not show up on my AT&T Stock Rom. Very strange. I do have the 10 button comm manager but it would be nice to do some troubleshooting using the stock WM screens/settings.

I second that. I do not have this option on my Tilt with the stock rom. Anyone know what's up with that?
Well I used "duttythroy 3g comm manager (working).cab" from the cabs FTP site in the sticky here.
At first it told me the install was not successful because there was an issue with "system permissions". Thinking it was the the CAB itself I tried the other 10 button I found "Kaiser.CommManager.10Button.3GCAB.cab, but got the same.
I did a soft reset, then tried Dutty's again and it worked fine. It required another soft reset after install.
It replaces the stock comm manager with one that looks like it could be from a Touch (from the icons). Works fine and includes a 3G button that was lit. When I tapped the button the icon went dark, the radio looked like it did a little reset (since it went to no signal ... like flight mode) and 10-15 seconds later it came back up locked at EDGE.

As for those of you with AT&T stock ROMS, AT&T probably had the BAND page removed/hidden in their version. Why? Who knows.

Hi,
Before anyone shouts, I have searched the forums and read hundreds of posts but haven't found the answer! I have a stock TMUK MDA Compact IV which is, to say the least, slow and unstable. It's totally stock at the moment and I want to flash it to the latest official HTC Diamond 2.03 ROM as there are plenty of reports of speed and stability improvements.
Question - will the GPRS/3G connection settings (and any other network-specific setup I need) automatically detect or will I have to manually configure them after flashing? The TMUK stock ROM hides the connection details so I can't make a note of them - I therefore want to be sure I have all the details I need before I blow the old ROM away!!
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I didn't use the latest official ROM, but the previous one automatically detected the network setting after 1 or 2 minutes of being "on air". You get a notification that network settings have been found, and it will ask if you want to install them.
So i assume the new ROM does exactly the same

Do a search on Modaco, they have a cab that gives you the T-Mobile settings.

the rom will automatically pic up that its needs settings so you select the correct option then you accept the settings and all will be fine.im on TMUK with a Diamond and everything is sweet.

Upgraded fine thanks everyone. I had to select my network and it automatically set up the connections. One strange thing is that if I selected "T-Mobile" the next screen of the wizard had a different network name listed! Seems that the names and connection details are mixed up, I had to go through each network and find the one with T-Mobile's settings behind it. Think it was "Fresh" in the end!
Anyway, a couple of strange things I've noticed and wondered if anyone could help. Apart from these, so far the ROM is a big improvment on the old one.
1 - My GMail account will only download over the air if I set the account to connect using my GPRS connection - if I leave it on "The Internet" it fails to connect even though the connections are configured so that "The Internet" links to my GPRS connection! Opera works fine, so it's a messaging issue.
2 - The main problem - I can't get WMWiFiRouter to install! I had it working fine on my old ROM, but when I run the cab to install now it just sits with the progress bar on zero with the rotating "busy" symbol forever. Other cabs install fine! Any ideas?

I recently bought a Garmin Asus M10
very nice, but ....
I like the interface from HTC hd2, sense 2.5 and I want to install it on my phone.
problems now appear in many. cabs installed to found only 2 that are functional,
1. is bigboss_Manila_2.5_2015_full - is in full screen, but locked wifi and warms your hard freezes and does not start only with restart.
2. Sense HTC WM6.5 2.1 Support - which moves well without wifi, of course, but it is not good rezoltia has an empty portion
Now comes the question .....?? someone help me and me to solve these problems.

So, I managed to install the phone in 2016 manila 2.5, no more heat, moving well, but returned to the wifi problem, went after installation, but the first stop of the phone, I changed the SIM card and no longer works, Why? I walked and the registry but still no effect,

Hey Dasim i also own a Garmin Asus M10 and just like you have tried the manila cabs on it but the phone freezes. Can you please tell me where you got your sense cab, which version and how did you fix the wifi, heating etc problems... Please?

If you fail to change the rom, say, and you send a mail pack that lets you install the ROM or some kind of rewards.

here's cab that I use, instructions, and all you need
you need a cab file which made me change the registry for wifi, send mail to [email protected] for wifi cab
1. rom change - restart
2. cab installation - all programs that you have extra-restart
3. 2.5 Installation sense, - restart
4. Monster wifi and wifi installation cab - restart
and theoretically it should work now.
I tried both versions of rum, I think the best is from StarHub - M10_V6220_WWE_app_SGP01

As for the phone warming, it's normal.
uses more energy because the screen is big
- GPS stays open, must be closed manually
to me to use intense:
- 1 hour talk,
- 45-50 minutes wifi
- 2 hour music on the radio in the car coupled
battery reaches 35-37%
I believe a decent range for this phone.

hi dasim! i think i missed something because i cant make my wifi work. i did install the patch and wifi monster. any help is appreciated. im having fun with sense except for the wifi part, and yes things are a bit slow, but worth the try. thanks in advance! im happy it worked on your phone! any other problems with it?
I have stated above the rom used is important because it is the only solution one attempt I made, and for 3 weeks and I kept changing rom manila sense, in different combinations.
We've not stopped the phone for 5 days if you stop or finish the battery, no wifi goes, I do not know why. The installation process should be resumed manila sense to go wifi.
I say install M10_V6260_WWE_app_IND00 rum, the other programs,
manila sense in 2016 as the instructions in modaco,
Monster install WiFi, Packet with asus wifi, restart and it should work.
[email protected] send mail and you have steps that follow and see where it is not good, it's easier for me because I use the XDA phone and can not really write well strengths.

I don't think you'll be able to use it on a daily basis, as it's somewhat emulated (needs Win to run, it's not native...yet), eats the battery way too fast and there are several issues that don't work properly (yet). For example, in my case, the Wi-fi performance is horrible, the speed is somewhere between 5-10KB/s. The developer knows about this and it may be fixed on the next version. Also, connecting to my PC doesn't work, at least on Win 7, because it complains about missing drivers and stuff. I have to turn on USB storage mode to be able to copy files on the device. After turning it off, Android sees the internal storage as empty, and there's no way to fix it unless I reboot the phone.
If you want to install Windows Mobile 6.5, there are plenty of ROMs here and it's easy to do it if your device is security unlocked. Take your time and read the tutorials on the ROM development forum, you'll get it.
