Phone Driver For pc Internet link

Hello,
I have recently updated my 8125 to the new 3.0.0.0wwe Rom
now I used to be able to do a modem link and use my phone to connect my laptop to the net but now with this update my computer is asking for drivers for the phone can some one possible point me to a link or can someone email me the drivers so i can connect again thanks jon
I am running winxp pro the file being asked for is generic Rndis driver
i am using the folowing program on the phone Start-programs- internet sharing.
when i activate the pc askes me to install driver for Generic RNDIS
basically what i have to do is uninstall the original modem link driver. that was recently needed inorder to connect the phone to a pc. can someone please tell me what the name of this driver is (the driver was supplied on the CIngular welcome cd) and how to go about removing it.

WinXP professional has the driver for USB NIC. Note that with AKU3.0 you can use "share internet" instead of modem PC link

I've used this one since my desktop never recognized my phone as a modem without this

Urgent help with XDA 2i!!!

hey guys
im a complete newbie to this whole upgrading thing.
i tried to update my rom to deathnoise's version.
stupidly using vista, but i thought if i ran it in compatibilty mode for XP
then it might work.
it didnt work however.
now all i get is Serial V.1.01
or when i plug it into usb cradle, USB V.1.01
can anyone help me save my PDA?

USB HOST

is there a way to plug a flash memory or a hard drive to the TyTN II and browse it ?
like the toshiba g900 -

There's a way to add an external camera(at least I heard there is), so pending that's true, why wouldn't there be? You'd just have to come up with a proper way of adapting it.
Than again, I'm not sure if there are or aren't specific drivers in one that aren't in the other. I personally would like to find out for sure.

the tytnII has no built-in host-controller for usb, so no chance

So is this a dead end ?

yes i think it is because the kaiser doesn't have a built-in host-controller for usb as edi said.

The Celio Redfly would give USB host capability to the Kaiser, maybe try installing to drivers here.

Honestly said I'm still a noob and i don't know "Celio Redfly" does and it is the first time I hear it

dude did you actually try it
you must have a redfly device to get the job done if you were succesful!

u cant use ur kaiser to replace windows os
so u cant connect kaiser to hdd or any other devices

the idea is to browse the hdd ot flash not to boot from them

Couldn't somebody try extracting the drivers from said Toshiba PDA that would make it possible to use the USB to hook up an external drive?

No, it can't be done,
Usb Host functionality is not just a piece of software you simply can install.
If there's no USB host controller in the Hardware you can install whatever you want.

If it can NOT be done why do some of you say IT CAN BE DONE ???

I think it could be done because frankly people are always seeming to make hardware do what it wasn't designed to do.

You need a USB-Host Controller ... Kaiser dont have it ...

hi, i have a kaiser but i don't know how i can read my sd in usb mode, i installed w5torage but many peaple said me that my phone don't have a usb driver.

There's a demo if you only need it once (or to test it works).
It's the only one I've had working.
Other than that your stuck with crappy active sync I think

No that doesn't work. I was going to say try searching for flashing it from the memory card but i searched that option for you and found that is not possible either and quoting that post:
At this point, your only options are:
•find a cable if you want to flash the phone
•send it to someone who has a cable so they can flash it for you and send it back

buy a new cable at ebay search about "blueangel usb"...
