Stupid Error popping - phone works tho. HELP - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had cyanogen 4.1.9999 and was having fun,
I discovered that Chomp sms under "tools" settings had a "install voice data," so that it can read your sms. I wanted to see how the phone read the sms messages, so I decided to install "voice data/speech" from the Market.
Now every 5 or so seconds I get an error that says "The application Touch Input (process com.htc.android.htcime) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I think it was the installment of that application "speech" because I never got that error before.
I tried to remove it by going to tools/apps.. and market but uninstall button is disabled.
I upgraded to cyanongen 4.2.2 to try to fix the problem, but it still comes up.
How can I fix it? it is EXTREMELY ANNOYINGc

[FIXED] Facebook is no longer fubar on my N1!

OK so i tried to upgrade. All I got was ... "The installation of this application was unsuccessful"
OK, so I deleted all references to facebook and reflashed CM 5.0.6. No change.
Now I can't load the Facebook.apk via the SDCARD and you might as well forget the Market, I just get the same message ... "The installation of this application was unsuccessful" grrr! Clicking on the notification message brings up an "incompatible" message .. huh?
So .. is my Facebook FUBAR? I can do without it .. but it would be nice to have the FB widget back.
I've got the same problem and nobody replied to me in the Facebook app thread >.<.... Just make do without until froyo comes out I guess
You guys use App2SD ??
Re: Facebook is fubar on my N1!
Facebook app sucks anyway. I just use touch.facebook.com it's a lot better
Yeah, it's a fairly ****e app, no chat, the refresh does not work properly, notifications come when they please...

You may have installed a modded version (key mismatch). try
Code:
adb uninstall com.facebook.katana
that did it, thanks

britoso thanks, you may have missed the bit in my post about 'I deleted ALL references to facebook" from the N1. That incuded the katana reference. Made no difference sadly.
I'll try the touch.facebook.com mentioned above, see how that goes.
OK weird!
I really thought I had deleted ALL facebook content from my phone. HOWEVER! When going to Settings > Aplications > Manage Applications - there in the list was a reference to 'com.facebook.katana'!!
The option allowed me to uninstall this reference. Once more to the market download it YET again .. and surprise, surprise, surprise! Facebook now installed successfully! Well damn!!
It's back! HTH someone!

did you do any backup restores ?. This happened to me as well and it was related to restoring backed up apps. Not sure which particular one was causing the problem tho. I am using MCR r14.
One option is to wipe everything and flash the rom again and don't run the backup restore if you did before.
(will be good idea to post this in the rom thread that you are using)

Help! Froyo -> CM5071 - Market app crashes when download

HELP HELP! yesterday, i fall back from Froyo to cm5.0.7.1 also rolled back radio to 4.04 (EPE54B). but this morning i found that when i start download and install an app from mkt, the android mkt app crashes
The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Pls try again. (Force close)
pls help =<
alogcat:
E/DatabaseUtils(290): Writing exception to parcel
E/DatabaseUtils(290): java.lang.SecurityException: Permission Denial: writing com.android.providers.download.DowbloadProvider uri content://downloads/download from pid=1115, uid=10046 requires android.permission.ACCESS_DOWNLOAD_MANAGER
i think i found the thread to my question... will try it now
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687578
i have already sorted out my problem by trying out almost all combinations to replicate the problem. just thot if anyone has the same problem, below is my solution
for me... it is nothing to do with the link abv. my conclusion is that, whenever i use "my backup pro" with root access mode, it will somehow mess up the vending.apk which crashes the mkt app. after many tries, i found that if i use my backup pro, it is a must for me not to use "grant root access" for my backup pro then everything will be fine...

Pressing Cancel download crashes Market

When I press the Cancel download button I see
Sorry!

[Q] android.process.acore force closed in gingerdx

I 'm using gingerdx v13 and now I am getting an android.process.acore force close message every time I tried to open the default contact app. I installed a different contact application and if I have a missed call notification in statusbar I 'm getting the same message again. If I remove the notification from the statusbar and then open the call log it opens normally....
Any ideas how to fix this?
