[Q] android.process.acore force closed in gingerdx - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I 'm using gingerdx v13 and now I am getting an android.process.acore force close message every time I tried to open the default contact app. I installed a different contact application and if I have a missed call notification in statusbar I 'm getting the same message again. If I remove the notification from the statusbar and then open the call log it opens normally....
Any ideas how to fix this?

try unfrozen all ur system apps in Titanium Backup

Thanks for the answer but I'm not using titanium....

Stupid Error popping - phone works tho. HELP

I had cyanogen 4.1.9999 and was having fun,
I discovered that Chomp sms under "tools" settings had a "install voice data," so that it can read your sms. I wanted to see how the phone read the sms messages, so I decided to install "voice data/speech" from the Market.
Now every 5 or so seconds I get an error that says "The application Touch Input (process com.htc.android.htcime) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I think it was the installment of that application "speech" because I never got that error before.
I tried to remove it by going to tools/apps.. and market but uninstall button is disabled.
I upgraded to cyanongen 4.2.2 to try to fix the problem, but it still comes up.

Camera initialization error

Hi guys
I'm getting this error "camera initialization error, you can modify the resolution under this mode and then restart your phone to try again" when trying to open camera360 and vignette. my stock camera app works fine.
i'm using darky's 8.0 Rom and was able to open them earlier. I've deleted some stock apps like the messaging and home launcher apps and replaced them with GO SMS and ADW launcher.
did the uninstallation of stock apps cause the camera apps to stop working? if so, please let me know how to install them back again.
any help? i was able to open them without changing any settings, then suddenly after rebooting the phone, both apps fail, but the stock camera works fine!
"camera initialization error, you can modify the resolution under this mode and then restart your phone to try again"
any clues please?

[Q]

Please help. I have a few questions.
I have recently installed Titanium Backup on my Captivate and i accidentally converted the system messaging app (SMS/MMS) to a user app. It was not backed up. It no longer appears as an app in titanium backup. Can not find it anywhere. The messaging icon has disappeared from my home screen. I opened my contacts and selected a person to send a text and hit "send message" button and got an error message saying " the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. I had to force close. I then performed a Factory Data Reset in hopes that my phone would return to the "out of the box" state. No luck.
My phone is rooted of course. Froyo 2.2
Through some investigating i learned that my phone can be booted into recovery mode, which i did. No luck. No update.zip file exist. What do i do? Thanks in advance for your help.
This really should be in the q&a but can't you use titanium to convert it back to a system app? If not just download a 2.2 rom and pull the mms.apk from it and use root explorer or similar app to move it to system/app
Sent from my SGH-I9000 using xda premium

[Q] Allways force close.

I'm having a problem with the broodrom RC2 rom. It have the GOLauncher installed in the rom so I deleted it with titanium backup and now sometimes this message appears " app com.gau.go.launcherex (proceso android.process.acore) have been suspended unexpectedly " Force close.
Anyone knows how to fix it?
I know it would be better asking in the rom post, but I don't have the 10 post needed to do that .
Install go Launcher, then another launcher, make the other launcher default then uninstall go Launcher properly. Don't just use titanium backup

Message force closes

I did a theme for Bad Seed custom Odex ROM, everything works fine with the exception of message.apk it won't open, just force closes when tapping the message icon.
I tried clearing the cache in manage apps, to no avail, anyone have any thoughts?

Seems like it is a corrupted apk. i would get a new one and try again.
What did you change in the mms apk? Did you sign it? No compiling errors?
From My TweakedOut ONE
get log and send it my way. open a terminal and type adb logcat >> desktop/log.txt make mms FC then close the cmd terminal and send me log.txt
