How to check what week model my x1 is? - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I hear lota of ppl saying week 40 x1 are **** etc, how can I find out what week mine is and if its the good one?

under the battery you will find the production year and week...see sample photo below:
http://www.sonyinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/2vv7ubt.jpg

mine says 1209-8361
how is that read?

Its the alphanumeric underneath that.
For example:
08W44 = 2008 Week 44 (this was in the posted pic)
09W10 = 2009 Week 10

different Accupacks?

hi today arrived my new vario3 cause my first get damaged at the usb connector. so took out the stuff tomorrow morning. i noticed that my first vario 3 had a Samsung battery and the new one has a Dynapack battery. so i decided to call the t-mob service. they told me the dynapack should be an upgraded one. the first devices where shipped with samsung.
but im confused now:
my first device had SN HT738
the new one has SN HT737
can anybody confirm this Dynapack batterypack?
the labels on the both packs are the same without the manufacturer. the one samsung the other dynapac. but the product numbers are different. the samsung has at the end 086 and the dynapac has 088. on the bottom of the dynapac accu is a aluminium plate. i think its because in the history much people said the battery goes warm or hot. so i think the dynapac is the newer version for our devices...
The metalwork on the bottom of the battery looks like a heatsink to me but it also looks like a ground plate for the battery itself so who knows.
Mine is a dynapack KAIS160 3.7vDC 1350 mAh pn:35H00088-00M
If that is any use to you?
Russ
its no use directly for me but for all other guys out there. which HT version do u have? in the german forum @ ppc-welt we saw that this dynapack is mostly shipped with HT versions lower than 738. the most devices with HT738 which are the highest versions right now have the samsung pack.

replace screen htc diamond...

i've receive an HTC DIAMOND from Expansys, but they doesnt want change it.
so, how can i replace screen? it's just external screen, glass only, broken...
some guides?
thanks
neorf
Expansys are very naughty boys indeed - I won't be buying frm them again.
If it is a defect out of the box then call HTC and see if they deal with it.
I don't think parts for HTC are floating about just yet in abundance. Furthermore, the opeining and closing of the Diamond is -very- tricky.
If it's DOA / faulty on arrival they should be changing it under consumer law.
they doesnt want to change it, because product arrive to me in date 18 sep, but i opened it only 19 evening, because i was away for job.
but so 20 morning was saturday, so i sent email but they didnt read it.
then at the beginning the cut on screen was almost invisible, but only after i was using it, the cut was more visible. this because the cut is at the corner top-right, on black background, just where you find X to close program...
what can i do? :S
thanks
neorf
PS DONT BUY FROM EXPANSYS
Consumer rights on online stores are not the same in every country.. Find out about yours first and then mail them again. If you know your rights and their obligations, they will have to take action.. Goodluck

My experience with Espansys was the same. I called them a day after I received it and wrote them emails but they waited at around 10 days before responding with a RMA number. This is their plan:
+ To exhaust the time to tie you into the contract which you have 14 days to consider.
+ To leave no time for another exchange - they might send you a device WORSE than the one you got towards the end of your grace period and you can't send it back because of the time limit.
Expansys are a bunch of UK English CS.
I appreciate dealing with India Dell so much more....
I have to say that I've had problem with Expansys before and now I avoid buying from them. In fact I've not used them since I had a problem with them.

I'm never buying another HTC phone...MicroP Error, AGAIN.

Ok so here's the story:
Got my HTC Diamond (unlocked version) back in June 2008 for about $700 USD.
Few months later the backlight stops working and it gives me the microp version mismatch error.
I send it in to HTC for repairs, a month later I get it back, working again.
Now I've had the phone back for about a month, and today I turn on the phone and guess what: NO BACKLIGHT! When it finally does boot up (without the backlight) it gives me the MicroP version mismatch error AGAIN.
What a piece of junk. In less than one year this phone has died twice on me. I still have old sony and nokia phones from 6 or 7 years ago that work 100%, yet my HTC Diamond has died twice in less than a year?
I'll never buy another HTC phone. </rant>
That sucks that you of all people ended up getting the 1/100000 lemons out of the factory. I've gone through a few HTC's and have NEVER had a problem with them, as I'm sure not many have.
I'd give it another chance if it was me, god knows I love WinMo.
yeah...well i just called HTC repairs again. they said they will pay to have it shipped back to them for repairs, again.
hopefully it doesn't take too long...
i still think it's funny that the crappy free phones i have from years ago still work great, but this $700 phone keeps breaking on me! grrrrrr
It's because those 'cheap crappy phones' have 1-10 components inside, whereas the Diamond has 10x that (g-sensor,gps,wifi,etc) so there's so much more possibility of something breaking.
I think you've just been very unlucky, I've owned tones of phones and not one of them has ever failed on me.
I would suggest that if your Diamond fails again (touch wood it doesn't ) demand a new one as replacement, as it's probably beyond repair.
Bad luck for you.
I ve had HTC devices for about 4 years and never ever had a problem. I even dropped my HTC Wizard twice and stepped on It. And it still works !!!!
So Go and buy a Iphone
sony and nokia phones ... how many? why changing to htc if your phoneS works 100%? work both phoneS together 100% (sony 30% and nokia 70%).
i was the master of making a phone unflashable and unusable.
1. prophet: soundproblem ... after looking inside and try to repair = death
2. artemis: during flashing pull usb-cable = never starts again
2.1 artemis: after more than 100 try-flashing for reanimation the resetbutton gone to god
3. eten x800: 2 days old in germany, no roms, try something like x500 udlr = unflashable since today but function o.k.
4. diamond: 1 day - 1 hour - first think was flashing. it flyes with me to Turkey, drinks water, fly to wall (2 times), flashing and cooking, i think i would marry it.
today its a htc what you never buy, tomorrow its a palm and the day after its an other phone. do what you want and have fun with your new never-want-buy-xyz-phone ....
my oppinion is: i cant understand why you posting here ... ?

I agree with this comment! After two attemps at resolving the same issue, any manufacturer should replace the handset completely.
Best of Luck

i have dropped a few....but thats me....not the phone

i forgot the points
2.2 artemis: bought a broken artemis on ebay for 50€ and make from two damaged orbits one functionally orbit.
2.3 artemis: using a german cooked rom from htc-developers;
2.4 artemis: 100% no problems !!!
3.1 send x800 earpiece for spend somebody and used for me an earpiece from an old handy. 100% no problems !!!
i hope, in future i can write
4.1 diamond: tv-out (what ever, negative or postive message)

im interested in that too, my phone does the exact same, and a friends.
is there any "home solution"
My Diamond broke twice during the first 2 months (overheated and wi-fi became dysfunctional). A friend's Diamond overheated so much whilst navigating that it broke too.
I've had mine for almost a year now but my next one will definitely be an IPhone. My Diamond has been immature and unstable from the beginning, requiring third-party software and registry patches for basic functionality like setting touchscreen sensitivity and the integration of the address book into the phone user interface is just moronic. Scrolling is plain awkward in TF3D, nothing like the smooth control you have on the Iphone.
My first HTC was a Qtec S200 and it was better in every respect except that it lacked GPS. More robust, better battery life, better GSM sensitivity, better wifi range, better touchscreen sensitivity. Solid as a brick.

[Q] want to know mobile's age

hi guys i want to know if there is any way of finding how much my mobile device is old by imei through internet because my father purchased it from a foriegner and i live in India so cant go to customer care or anywhere else.
There is a sticker on the phone underneath the battery.
On that sticker will be a 4 digit number indicating build date. First 2 are year, second are month
For example mine is a 1010 so it wad made in Oct. 2010
Another option is that if you register your phone on the Samsung website, I believe it will even tell you the exact date it was manufactured.

Help from anyone that has purcheased a black One in the last month

I just received my second defective replacement from Sprint due to the purple tinting issue with the camera. From this thread over in the international section, it seems that any sensor built since September does not have this problem anymore. I would like a little ammunition for receiving a NEW phone when my next refurb replacement arrives with the same issues.
What I would like to know is if Sprint has any black Ones in their current inventory that have been built since that time.
I'm looking for:
1. the first 4 characters of the serial number (Settings=>About=>Phone Identity)
2. the camera sensor build date found in /sys/android/camera/sensor.
My S/N starts FA36, meaning is was built in Taiwan(FA) in year 13,month 6 (full explanation in this thread), and the cinesensor was built 2013-06-15
Thanks for any help!
