Hi,
Since 2 month I´m having issues with my clock.
I always get delayed, the more time I pass without checking it the more delay
I tried to adjust my local time, updater internet server, unselecting it but still have that problem.
Any advice is appreciated
Thanks,
Your battery must have died out. Replace it.
OR
Try this

Thanks Buddy,
My battery is ok, actually I´m connected without battery, so we can discard that.
I´ll try the app you sent.
Gracias!
I mean the battery on the motherboard.
Are we talking about a desktop or a laptop?
Lap top Amigo
but It´s strange because all working well just the time gets delayed.
By the way the app you sent is not working and now I can´t even do manual sync in windows time...it get´s me an error
The CMOS battery?
Its rechargable
Whats happening there?
I´ll check that
Thanks,
I have the same problem man and it's extremely annoying. If you have WLM, try uninstalling that because it'll improve the delay. My dealy right now is 40 minutes and i'm too lazy to update it.
Thanks kareem
I tried to install an app called atomic clock, after that I can´t make any time update as it gets me an error but time is not having the delay anymore, it just not updates with windows time (which I think it´s better )

I'd really like to find a solution to this problem. Another problem i'm having (not sure if you're experiencing this as well) is harsh dragging sounds. Like when i play a file or a sound comes up through AIM or MSN, it drags and crackles. The only time this doesn't happen is when I have something big running like deleting a large file, disk cleanup, burning, etc. Very weird situation.

Yeah it would be great to find that solution, if not will reinstall soon.

Ive not tried searching for this problem, seems abit of an awkward thing to search so please dont shoot me
I've noticed for awhile now some times when im typing a text msg it'll work fine..... then it suddenly misses letters/key presses etc so my text message ends up
"Hey mate, how re yu oing?"... esspecially on words like "Little" i end up with "Litle" etc.
But going into Word / notepad etc it types no problems & other times i can do an SMS session with no problems then it'll suddenly act up, any idea why its doing this?
Im only using the kaisers default SMS program, maybe i should be using something abit better?
search for clear type in this forum you'll find your answer.
Ahh thanks, went to disable clear type ... damn things already disabled
*scratches head in confussion*
well ive enabled it, maybe that'll help lol

I haven't had any recent issues even with clear type enabled. A while back I did but now all is fine. My device appears to act funny at times. Just recently I lost all sound for almost 3 days, which was not a rom/radio compatibility issue.

mine does weird things aswell, i use alarms alot... anyway i flashed my phone (so date was reset), my alarms werent going off, couldnt figure out why.
then relised the year was off & set the year correctly then the alarms started working, no idea what caused it to rely on the date.
now i think about it i guess "Monday 8am" would of been day differant day in 2005.... oki problem solved.
not very often that happens
Okay boys, here is the answer. There are two different functions you will have to modify. They are both under Settings>Buttons>Up Down Control.
Cleartype is only used for smoothing edges and has no affect on typing... btw.
Two different functions you will have to change are Lower the delay before first report to short, (far left) and Repeat rate to the slower side.
That helps on the lag issue you have been experiencing.
The second thing you should try is to disable predictive text.
Settings>Inputs>Word Completion
Try turning it off it helps a lot of people.
Have you flashed your rom or are you using the ATT one?
If you use the ATT one these problems will help, but the interface is still slow due to the bloatware on the phone. If you use a cooked rom the first thing should help as well as the second however, I am running a cooked rom L9 (laurentius) with no problems and I rarely miss type.
I have noticed one issue with my keyboard though that I cannot figure out and do not like, pressing the space bar and a number or letter before or after, the spacebar trumps the other buttons and many times I just see the space and no letter or number that I typed in close time proximity to the thing I was entering. Hope this helped.
I experience this two times..
When do some usual thinks, something happened.. and TD2 not responding.. Soft reset.. Restart.. and Manila never start until hard reset.. Try everything.. Wait for a long time, soft reset, remove battery.. nothing works..
.. and i'm use latest asian 1.40 rom.. and also new radio..
I have noticed with my Diamond 2 that manila does freeze from time to time. However if I just leave it for 10-20 seconds all is fine.
Yep, manila freezes up on me a lot, especially when I'm trying to do something important quickly!
freeze
do you guys also have trouble typing when turned into landscape modus for messaging?
it always takes up to half a minute to respond accurately!
this is a little bit annoying.
(and sometimes I even have weird issues when turning, e.g. keyboard is only half there and in wrong position. issue is gone when turned back to portrait and turned to landscape the second time...even hard-reset didn't change anything...seems to be manila-related)

So you've never suffered a lag of a few seconds when using manila? Wow I get lag quite a lot, especially going to the music tab. If I'm playing through all my music in random order it takes forever just to display the current album art.
I also get a delay in keyboard feedback sometimes which is infuriating.
Try rotating the phone to landscape when replying to an SMS and count how many seconds the phone takes to react!
I sometimes get slowdown the the predictive text wheni recieve a text at the same time fromt he person i am replying too, but only for a few seconds. I have been usign the phone since the 7th, never had to soft reset, but have had to turn off/on (im guessing it comes to the same affect). And manila is just TouchFLO 3d right?

Oh come on! Try viewing or flicking through high resolution photos or viewing the music tab when you've got a long playlist or sliding across tabs as soon as you've unlocked the phone, the list is endless!
Try taking out the memory card. See if it still hangs?

It's a BIG improvement on previous TFL from Stock ROMs on Diamond and HD... I can tell you. It still obviously has it's moments as do most UIs but Windows Mobile 6.1 isn't the smoothest of OSs either so... Once we get cooking it will be much better that's for sure and I agree with your comment on another thread here, that once WM6.5 is out perhaps TFL will be redundant... but we'll see. In the meantime each to his own.
Hi there,
I haven't seen any lags on my device either...
Rom versions are different depending in our countries. That's were the difference is, I guess
HastaSSSS
P.S.- Nice to see you here, christonge. Long time no see, since the Diamond gps lag thread...

Hi all.
I hope someone here can help me with some answers or at least help me testing.
My problem is, that when I use my phone when running, the training session isn't registered correctly. It always log my routes between 25 and 30 % shorter then they are.
I've tried using different programs like Runkeeper, Endomondo, Cardiotrainer, My Tracks, and others.
They all show the same short route log.
I've tested all the programs with my old HTC Desire, and here the error is always less then 5%
Anyone else seeing the same problem??
Maybe someone could test it on their phone the next time they're going for a run??
My guess is, that there might be some bug in the software of the phone, that makes it report to short distances between every point that it sends to te training software. (maybe something to do with the accuracy of the GPS, and how this is offset is calculated into the positiondata??)
Anybody got a good Idea where to start??

Same here, tried a couple of the running apps. Sometimes it helps to restart the phone before running. Google navigation and offline nav apps (Sygic, TomTom, Navigon) seem to show more accurate GPS data. Speed related?

man up and get over it
this is how its gonna be
I'm about to receive my third warranty replacement for the numerous problems I had with my Note4. Most of the problems are fixable (camera, GPS, etc), but one problem is bad and I don't see a simple solution.
Something seems to be intermittently stealing the focus from my app (I believe). So, if I'm watching YouTube, it randomly pauses because it thinks I've switched apps. If I'm recording video, it randomly stops, because it thinks I've switched apps. If I'm playing a video game, it pauses while I'm playing until 'I return'. If I go to the app-switcher, sometimes it closes randomly before I select which running app to switch to.
I actually bought a new SD card (64GB wasn't really doing it for me, anymore, anyways) but the problem persists. The phone does seem better behaved before all my apps repopulate (although there's not much to do on the phone before the apps are back), so I suspect it's an app, but I haven't heard anything about this sort of problem on any website or forum.
Lastly, the problem may have started around the time of the StageFright patch in August, but a lot of apps also updated around that time.
I'm stock 5.0.1 without root (maybe in the future), although I always disable T-Mobile bloatware like DT_Ignite. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks - And sorry for the late reply (I don't remember getting a notification about a reply). I'll try your suggestion if the problem comes back.
It appears to be a problem with the Samsung Techwin app for their video cameras. For others, the app would just randomly pop-up during phone use, making the problem easier to diagnose. For me, it would just steal focus.
I uninstalled the app & things are back to normal.

Very cool you found what was giving the problem. I'll remember this fix as well, another tool in the toolbox!
It's not saved as one of the ringtone or notification sounds on my phone.
It does not do any type of notification I have already tried notification sniffers and it does not do any type of notification at all.
I kill all apps, turn of the screen, nothing can stop it from playing the entire toon for about 45 seconds.
I have posted on several boards but cant figure it out.
I've attached the audio that I recorded of it playing.
They did tell me to run a bug report directly after it happened which I did. They told me to upload it to battery historian: https://bathist.ef.lc/
But I can't figure out what to do once I upload it or how to parse the information.
audio sound:
Dropbox - File Deleted - Simplify your life
www.dropbox.com
Does the sound play at any specific time or is it at least once a day or something?
Usual practice is to see what your most recent apps were, as one of them may be causing this. You might even check for latest updated apps, because it could be something added by a new feature/update.
If that's not finding an issue, you might boot into safe mode and seeing if the noise stops happening - this would indicate that an app is causing it. Alternatively, maybe uninstalling all other apps is a good place to start. If it goes away, then add apps back (maybe a few at a time, to make it easier) and monitor for when it comes back.
I'm not familiar with that Battery Historian app, but it seems interesting. If you can identify when the sound happened, it should line up with the "audio" events shown in the graph. I assume there's some way to zoom in on that graph, so maybe you can see what happened during that time, and help narrow down a possible app that could be causing this.
thanks so much for your reply.
The sound happens so infrequently, the last time it happened was 2 weeks ago. Sometimes it might happen 3 or 4 times in 1 day. And the phone use and app use are static and have not changed. Same phone use every single day. It's impossible to figure out it seems.
It's so frustrating.
I ran the bug report directly after the sound played so the end of the historian file is when it happened and looking at the "audio" I do see something there that played for 59s which is about right for how long the audio is.
But I can't figure out any info about the audio besides what is on the tooltip.
Maybe someone knows more about this battery historian.
Bug report for who? If you're just throwing out a but report to an app or even the OS, chances are that it will be ignored as irrelevant, unless you can convince the place you're reporting it that this is something they are causing... I'm guessing that report is not going to do what you think it is.
I don't see how battery historian is going to help, so maybe you need to pursue the thread which recommended it. I did a quick search and I don't see how that app will help identify the problem.
One other idea I saw was that maybe a browser tab is generating the noise. Websites can sometimes provide notifications and such, if you allow them to. I never do, but I can imagine that as a source of noise.
In the end, this is likely an app that you have. You just have to remove as many as you can, and see if it goes away. If it doesn't then you can look deeper at your remaining apps. If it does, then the job is easier and you just need to add them back in (if you still want them) until it comes back. Since it's so infrequent, it's going to be difficult to have happen... but I doubt it's an OS-level problem otherwise others would have the same issue.
thanks for your response and I have been trying to do that but it has not worked so far and that is why I am posting here.
Something on my phone is firing this sound and if you are telling me there is no way for me to figure it out from some type of log, then I have to tell you that you are wrong.
Everything that is done on Android there is a record of I just need to figure out how to read this record.
Not everything is always logged with any OS or app. There are settings to set log-levels higher or lower. Most apps set only "warning" or "error" level logs, generally speaking. There are often ways to increase this, but it's not there by default for sure... I wouldn't expect a sound activity to be logged by default as it's not an error.
But, if you know better than me, then I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. I will stay out of it going forward. I would love to hear how you find it, because it's great information for anyone on XDA (and I would certainly like to know as well).
