[REQ] Service that changes volume on plugging in earphones - G1 Apps and Games

One thing I've... noticed about my G1 is that it blasts my ring tone through my earphones when theres an incoming call or some sort of notification.
What I would like to see is a small app running as a background service that changes the ringtone/notification volume to some pre-defined or user-defined level.
Is such a program even possible to create?

Ringtone problem

Hi,
I have been having this problem for the last couple of days, for some reason the volume of my ringer has dramatically decreased to the point where i can't hear the phone ring when it's in my pocket (wasn't the case before). When i try to play the ring tone (it's a wave file by the way) using the media player the volume is normal and very loud, the same applies to when i play it from the settings->sounds&notifications the volume on the ring tone is perfect, but when i receive a phone call the ringer volume is cut down by more than half, i checked the ringer volume and it's set to the max, I also did a hard reset then restored my files using the sprint backup but the problem didn't get fixed, I tried using a different ring tones and the same happens. any help would be greatly appreciated.
There are three volume controls: System, Ring and In call Volume.
Have you checked the System Volume?
If you press up on the hard volume key, you'll see arrow on the top right to switch to the next vol control. Check there.

ringtone problem
yea all 3 volumes are set to the max level
ringtone volume problem
the phone has the original stock rom from rogers (canada) hope this helps in any way
Have you got any profile managers installed (G-profile, Phoneweaver etc)?
ringtone volume problem
no i dont have a profile managers installed... so i just noticed that when the phone start ringing and i dont pick up, a second before the phone stops ringing the volume of the ringtone increases to the normal level (then stops ringing), the increase of the ringtone volume happens for like a split second after the caller hangs up and the phone stops ringing. hope this helps in any way. Thank you
Sounds like you have a Ringtone delay problem, there are a couple of solutions.
1. Disable HTC dialer (and use the Winmo one instead), can be done using Advanced Configurator 3.3.
2. Try the CAB I've attached, remember to only use WAV as ringtone though.
I would also recommend adjusting Call Forwarding timing to 30seconds. Settings/Phone/Services/Call Forwarding and get settings.
Disabling the HTC dialer is probably going to be the best solution as the HTC dialer is a hungry resource eating monster but I would just try the CAB and adjusting Call Forwarding time. There are some other REG setting as well but I never found them useful.

problems on earplugs volume

Hi~~
I like to listen to music with my X1 by earplugs, the music volume is just fine coz it's controlled by the software. But if there is a call or SMS coming,my ear will blow off...(in order to hear the ring when don't use earplugs, I set the sys and ring volume about 7/10)
It seems that the SMS notify ring level belongs to sys volume. So everytime I want to enjoy the music I have to lower all the 3 volum level(sys, ring and in-call),terrible
Is there any software can lower those volumes automatically when I pull in the eraplugs and change the vloumes to high level after pulling out the earplugs ???

Sound on dialpad while INSIDE a call

How do I get my dialpad INSIDE a call to have sound when I press the numbers? I'm not talking about the phone dialer; I already know how to edit those sounds. I'm talking about the dialpad you get when you INSIDE an actual call. The problem is that most ROMs that are coming out nowadays are increasingly forgoing this and are opting for silence.
It's really annoying when I don't have this feature, because when I'm in a call, and I don't have sound feedback when following an automated prompt, I don't really know if the button registered or not, or twice, or whatever.
Thanks!
Oh, I should mention, that I did do some research. No audio from dialpads and such can happen if the system volume is set to lowest. I did confirm in lots of ROMs that the system volume was not lowered; it was set highest. It just has no sound when buttons are pressed.

Notifications too quiet

I just bought a B1-850 for my ageing mother, mainly for use with Skype. Unfortunately the notification volume is too low for her - i.e. she struggles to hear an incoming Skype call (or email message). Does anyone know of a way of increasing the volume of notifications (I've already selected the maximum levels in Settings but it's still not loud enough).
I've tried "Volume Booster" (SeattleApps) and Volume Booster Plus (Doda Games) but neither made any difference.

Weird sound issues

Hey guys,
I am having weird sound issues with my new P10.
When setting ringer volume to certain level, it seems to only work with the ringer when somebody calls.
It does not have an influence on WhatsApp, Gmail, text messages etc. These do sound a LOT louder.
So, I can control call ringer just fine, but basically cannot control the volume for app notifications. I also tried to lower the volume for alarm, media etc, but these apps seem to be connected with the ringer volume slider (which is of course what one would expect) but they are much louder that the call ringer.
This is my first Huawei phone so I was hoping to find some setting for this, but no luck. This is really annoying. If I do not want Gmail notifications etc to be loud, I need to lower the ringer volume to minimum, but then I have issues to hear when someone calls
Any idea what is going on?

If i find one i will let you know.
P10 Plus
The P10 Plus has a same issue.
Yep, it looks like notifications sounds are not only too loud but also still present when sound is "muted"
as a temporary workaround I reduced the volume of the notifications by editing the notification files on my pc. but I am really hoping that Huawei is going to fix this soon.
sound settings do not affect videocalling with facebook messenger on my P10.
